Love It!

Wonderful book. I've read all 3 books. They are all wonderful!! Hope there's another one.

Very enjoyable cozy

Listened and read found both very pleasant way to be engaged for the evening. A definite bedtime read. Mysteries from previous books in series plus some still open to draw you in. Suggest reading this series of Rosemont in order for greatest read. I look forward to uncovering more of Maggie Martin's adventurous life.

OMGosh!!!

Now you've done it, Barbara Hinske! Yup...I'm dying to know what happens next!! Uncovering Secrets: Book 3 in the Rosemont series held my attention from beginning to end. The entire series stays with you long after you are finished. Drawing Close: Book 4 in the Rosemont series will be my next listen! :-) I've written reviews for each of the books in this wonderful series if you would like to read them, so to prevent saying again what I've already stressed over and over, I'll try to make this one short. I cannot recommend the author, Barbara Hinske, and narrator, Dina Pearlman enough. They are absolutely amazing. The series is my favorite of any I have listened to. The writing and narration are equally fantastic, and readers/listeners who are lovers of Women's Fiction will deeply enjoy every book in the series. You must start with book 1, as you will have a deeper appreciation and understanding for the people and events in the books. Barbara Hinske also just released Bringing Them Home: Book 5 in the Rosemont series...it is not YET on audible, but I'm sure it will be soon enough. I rate this book 5 stars, just as I have with the others before this one. I can confidently say you will fall in love with Rosemont and the people of Westbury. This series has everything you could ask for!

A Lot of Fun...But

What did you like best about The Lost Book of the Grail? What did you like least?

The story was fine...a little misogynistic (a promiscuous male character who preys on women, romantic leads with a major age difference), but my issue was with the narration. The narrator has a lovely English accent, until he attempts an American accent. The main female character sounds like a 1930's gangster. I've lived in the U.S. for a long time, and I've never heard nineteen pronounced "nine-een." I barely made it through the reading.

Aydeen?

Lovett's books get better, but gosh -- the reader? Just fine with the British accent but the American female, an interesting character, is cheapened by an accent that makes her sound like a cast member of "Guys and Dolls". Where in America is the number 18 pronounced "aydeen" and where do they say "Ladden" for "Latin"? Not in North Carolina, I can assure you.

that divine British accent of course. I thought he did all the characters very well. I've seen criticism of how the American was voiced, and I agree that's the weakest, but it really didn't bother me.

Arthur of course. he is hilarious.

The main female character is American, and she is absolutely a wonderful character. However, this narrator makes her sound like a gangster from NYC or sometimes from Boston. She's from Florida. Anyway, the story is fantastic. Read the book, don't listen.

Lacking some woman power

I should have realised that the young wives club would not be my kinda book from the title . I really hate that the girls had to go thru this learning phase of figuring out that an early marriage and losing your identity is not good .

Anyway ! The story was okay . The reading was okay but if you are annoyed with people getting married at 19 and then this book is not for you .

As a single woman I enjoy some chick lit but this storyline felt lacking .

It was a good fast read. A little too predictable, but still good. Easy to finish in a day or two.

Don't waste the credit

I would have sent this horrible book back but I had sent the previous one back and didn't feel right doing another. Horrible narration and lifeless characters. Don't bother unless you are 13

So boring

I've been trying to read this book for over a month now, I don't know if it's just me. I cannot get into it. I'm kind of sick of the whining that all of the characters are continuously doing. I keep hoping that it's going to get interesting, but I feel like I'm about halfway through and it's just not getting there. I feel like it had real potential but missed the mark.

Amazing and twisting

keeps you so much on your toes on what she would or even should do. I enjoyed the back and forth of the history of her relationships.

When the past collides into the present!!

This is my first Sarah Jio book I have read and I am hooked. The storyline caught my attention in a sense where I immediately put myself in the characters shoes.

The characters were well written and evolved through the story.

I loved this book so much all of my girlfriends are reading it because I've spoken so much about it. Would love to see a movie made!!!

The narrator Brittany Presley is excellent!!! Her voice is soothing and easy to listen too!!

Beautiful story

As a retired RN I am always drawn to "nurse" stories. This one is believable, factual and very well written and researched. The scenery descriptions make it easy to visualize the area. Love the bird references. Thank you.

The book conveys a feeling that I think all women have had at one time, just leaving everything behind. Most of us can not do that. However our main character feels that life as she knows it cannot continue to exist. She takes a chance and finds a new life where she will truly belong.

What made the experience of listening to The Fifth Letter the most enjoyable?

I loved the narrator. She did a good job with all the voices. Her Aussie accent wasn't to strong it was perfect.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Joanie. She was flawed and real. I could see her in my group of friends.

What does Candice Moll bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

Mrs. Moll brings excitement and a great Australian accent. This book was meant to be about Australian friends and I was glad it wasn't an American narrator. Listening to Candice Moll made it feel authentic.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!!! I was walking around the grocery store with my ear buds in. I didn't want it to end. I wanted these girls to be my group of friends.

Great character development. Very easy read. The book kept me guessing all throughout. I can't wait to read more from this author. I hope audible will acquire her books soon.

The narrator was great! She was able to put voices on individual characters. Nicola Moriarty writes in a similar fashion as her sister, Liane Moriarty. Both have a way of keeping a reader wanting more.

Aggravating Narrator Ruins Great Book

If you could sum up The Terranauts in three words, what would they be?

What didnt you like about the narratorss performance?

I love TC Boyle. His satirical, clever fiction is engaging, fascinating, and fluidly written from first person point of view. I was excited to get this book and pre-ordered it. I even was looking forward to three narrators. It is sometimes distracting to hear a female voice for a male first person, etc. HOWEVER, Lynde Houck, narrator for Dawn the beautiful young ecologist, absolutely ruined this experience for me. TC Boyle writes very long, descriptive, compound sentences. Lynde Houck paused at each comma in the writing as if it was the end of a sentence, then took a breath, and continued, as if starting a new sentence. It was so aggravating! It seemed to me like she could not read ahead in her mind before speaking aloud, as if she was reading the text for the first time.

Weisberger aced it

As a former competitive tennis player and an avid reader I LOVED this book. I sincerely appreciated Weisberger's attention to tennis detail and keeping things accurate but also making a fun, flirty and addictive story. I couldn't stop listening - it was so easy, breezy and fun.

Last Weisberger book for me.

I have religiously read , in this case listened to, all of Lauren Weisberger's books. Devil wears Prada was great. Everyone worth knowing was enjoyable. Chasing Harry Winston started to deviate. These last two books have been underwhelming to say the least. It just felt rushed , choppy, and predictable. In addition to that, I just felt like someone was throwing together a whole bunch of Random journals exerts while rushing to meet an editors deadline. Over all the story leaves a lot of questions open and answered. You end up feeling like the characters are never fully fleshed out and you don't really get to know anybody. By the last chapter of the book I was just overwhelmingly annoyed thinking I will clearly it's not going to get better and it will just be another open ended plot.

Disappointing

Having never read a book by the author previously, I took a chance hoping for a good summer book. Unfortunately, I found the writing simplistic and uninteresting.

A Novel Sans a Story

Other than ultra polite conversation between one couple and the ridiculous immaturity of others, this vapid audio book left me wondering how it ever found a publisher. Clearly not my cup of tea.

Disappointed with narration

If you are like me, and have enjoyed Robin Miles as the delightful

narrator of Dorothea Benton Frank's books, you might be disappointed by the narration by Bernadette Dunne.

Don't get me wrong, she's a fine narrator.

BUT, she's not Robin Miles, who to me, IS the "voice" of Dorothea Benton Frank's books about the low country.

Disappointing

I used to really like Dorothea Benton Frank. In this book she did not flesh out the characters. I felt like a first grader could've written about it -- it was the most boring thing I've ever read. The plot had potential if she had just left out the lifestyles of the rich and famous parts. The characters were boring, one dimensional, and uninteresting. Sorry, Ms. Frank.

Disappointing

I always look forward to Dorthea Benton Frank novels. This one was very disappointing. The story didn't get interesting until 3/4 of the way through the novel.
