Publisher's Summary:
It's the late fall of 1850, and love is starting to blossom in the nearly lawless town of Dodge City!
This much-loved historical, inspirational Western romance series, based in the mid-18th century of the old West, is about empowered women who turn around their hopeless circumstances, with strong faith, and discover authentic men and true love.
Meet Winter: she has been scandalized and put to shame in her beloved town of Bangor Maine. Unable to go to her local church and support herself after the incident, she takes the only option she has to seek marriage far away from all of this pain and suffering.
"You want me to sleep in the barn?" Henry asked, his expression wary. "On our wedding night?"
Winter nodded. "Or the tack shed," she replied. "Whichever you believe would be most comfortable."
Will Mother Nature give a devastating blow that will end their love before it starts?
Come on down to Dodge City where the bars outnumber the other businesses, and where you can hang out with the local folks like the massive blacksmith Henry Olson, mustache deputy Bat Masterson, and of course the lovely petite five-foot and emotionally scarred Winter Lindstrom.

Good book, but another author stole her cover picture and storyline.
Very good book. Another author stole the cover picture and storyline. Is that allowed in the US?
I realized this when I saw Hope Sinclair's book that has the same weird braided/twisted hairdo on the cover picture.
She used the same storyline too: jilted mailorder bride marries store keeper.
Can she get by with stealing Miss Wyatt's cover and storyline?
Such a touching Story!
Winter reminds me of myself. She was afraid of her first husband, I was too. He caused at least two maybe even three of my five miscarriages. I was only 20 when I had to have a complete hysterectomy.
What did he do? Left me alone in the hospital for a month. Then when he picked me up he blamed me for the loss of he babies, he sad I was no good as a wife now that I couldn't have children.
Eventually he ran around with his best friends wife, left and divorced me, had a child with her, but he sure didn't live happily after. I however did!
I was reunited with the man I should have married eight years after we broke up, we married, he adopted my son (whom was my oldest sisters son, the only decent thing my X ever did for me was to allow us to adopt him)
I am so happy Winter finally realized she owed it to herself and her new husband Henry to stand up to her X and move forward to a wonderful life with Henry and their children.
Again great story Katie.

Mail Order Bride
A great read for all lovers of historical romance stories. This tale of fear and despair after a terrible loss pulls at the heart strings and left me wanting to read more from Katie Wyatt. Highly recommended!

You must read this to learn how one person learns how to deal with the death of her child believing it was her fault.
