this is a great book, easy to understand, for any christian girl that seeks for christian (biblical) point of view for womanhood.

Love this book!

So very thankful for what God is doing in and through these wonderful girls! And thankful that they are so willing to submit to God, stand for truth, and shine the light of Christ to a lost generation. Having had few Christian role models to look up to throughout my growing up years, I am especially thankful to have two girls slightly further on in the race cheering me on and sharing how I can better run the race for Christ with perseverance. :) You simply must read this book! :)

A life changing book

Where does Girl Defined rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

The best audiobook I've listened so far. Used to listen it in the morning before work, while drinking my coffe, and felt like I was among sisters who loved life and just wanted to be the very best they could be. It was great!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Girl Defined?

There was this moment when the authors talked about how God wants us to be good mothers and wifes, and then they said one of them is single and the other doesn't have children, but they weren't afraid to say they loved God and were His servers.

The truth and practical ways

The truth about our identity in Jesus Christ and practical ways to deal with sexual temptations are described in this great book by Jonathan Welton.

Get to our real identity in learning to see ourselves as God sees us, opened a new way for me to grab my identity, which usually was a unclear goal. I am a son of God and received His freedom to protect the freedom of especially our sisters and mothers in the heavenly family. Listening to the authors voice and follow his steps through his own experience with the practical excercises was worth every minute! A lot of great new revelations from the Bible on how to relate one of the biggest issues in each personal male lifes, sexual in property, with my identity and praying for our female family members.

Excellent way to freedom!

Very good NOT bad. I give it away with a warning

I should explain. I am older. I have been a follower of Jesus for more than 40 years. Some of that time, religious ( looking for what I could / should do for God [often without asking Him]. Now I look for what We can do together, treasuring the time with Him. )

I have watched a lot of ineffective ideas put forward by the institutional church.

Men have had about all the shame and control that they can take in this area. So, when I give this book away, I tell men that it is not another shaming book filled with a mixture of hopes, fears, and lies. It is full of Jesus, and full of hope.

I know this is written as a book for men, relating to sexual temptation. It is so much more than that. It contains truth, rarely heard in the institutional church, of who Jesus is and what He has done. The truth is freeing for men caught with sexual temptation.

It would be just as freeing for a woman caught with various forms of fantasy or who struggle with disrespecting men / brothers through control or judgment. I hope Jonathan and his wife coauthor a book for women.

Excellent Read

I loved the honesty in this book. The frequent turning to God's Word gave the conclusions and thoughts of the author a grounded weight into truth. It's an easy read and very convicting. I'd read this again as a Bible study type thing sometime.

Funny and to the point

Hilarious. Well written with much down to earth humor. The authors (sisters), who are Lutheran, work well together to address many of the issues women face, in an enjoyable and informative way. Some of their responses are Lutheran in flavor, so if you are not Lutheran, you may not always agree, but they do a very good job of not being denominational.

Christian Women's Book for Christian Women Who Don't Like Christian Women's Books

I'm not usually one to read books marketed to Christian women, even if they're from CPH (I'm a member of the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod), but after listening to the interviews with the authors on Issues, Etc. and upon seeing some controversy about the book, I had to read it--and I'm glad I did! There is something in this book for women at every stage of life, to encourage us, to show us what our vocations are, to bring us to repentance where we've failed in our vocations, and to offer us God's free grace and forgiveness in Jesus Christ. (If you think you're not getting enough Gospel at the beginning, keep reading--but don't ignore the Law, because it's good and wise, too.) Furthermore, this book challenges readers to think; many Christian women's books seem to talk down to women and insult our intelligence, but this book presupposes that women are intelligent and able to contemplate meaty subject matter (but it's not difficult to grasp if you've been attending church and Bible class for a few years and are aware of the basic Lutheran terminology you would encounter there). It consists of essays of varying lengths (but none of them more than a few pages long) touching on a variety of subjects that contemporary women want clarified or discussed. And it's written with a wit and dry humor that I enjoy--definitely not the sappy tone of most Christian women's books. I can't recommend this book highly enough; if you don't like Christian women's books, or if you're a Christian woman who is interested in theology and wants to dig deeper into her faith and Christian life, this book is for you.

Absolutely the best read of the year for Women!!!

I would love if every woman read this book!!! I couldn't put it down and finished it in a just a few hours.

Better Read Than Heard

Loved the book and its main idea. But it was a hard listen, especially during the parts where you're supposed to practice and write your own prayers. I think I'll re-read it.

What an amazing guide through prayer!

When I began to read this book, it was not yet available on audible. I am so excited to have read and now heard this word to change my life through prayer. Excellent overview and framework of all spiritual paths-where they lead and what's required for various levels of Callings

Must have for any spiritual seeker of an integrated view

An amazing interview with a man I wish I found out about years ago, but glad to have stumbled upon him a few months ago. Hameed explains his view of totality , and shares many secrets that the spiritual masters usually withhold, in hopes of enlightening his listeners while provoking realizations. I hope to one day meet him since his words resonate with me, and they induced many insights I was not aware of previously.
