I am a huge Paris fan and this book is just a recycled version of Confessions of an Heiress. Plus the book had some grammatical errors. Skip this and read Confessions of an Heiress. And for juicy family history read House of Hilton. This book is not up to par.

THE BOOK ITSELF IS OK, THE USUAL STUFF THAT YOU PROBABLY KNOW ABOUT HER. BUT THE AUTHOR THINKS SHE IS A GREAT ACTRESS, SINGER, MODEL AND IS THE BEST THING SINCE THE PADDED BRA. PARIS HAS BEEN OUT OF THE SPOT LIGHT LATELY BUT SHE IS SO SPOILED, SELF CENTERED, AIR HEADED, UNTALENTED AND AROGANT THAT SHE SOON WILL BE. Pointless hack job of a biography

In a biography about such a controversial person, you'd expect the author to try to give a balanced account of the person's life and public persona. Instead - and even though he gives several examples of Hilton's unprofessional behavior - Newkey-Burden has nothing but praise for Hilton. But the most annoying thing is that he mocks and ridicules anyone who said anything bad about his hero Hilton. The book reads like a badly written gossip column and most of the research seem to consist of Hilton's autobiography and gossip magazines.

I loved this book. A great story of how this amazing player got his character and became who his he. Great audio. I enjoyed listening to the narrator tell me the story while I worked.

Prince Harry at war in Afghanistan

I served in Afghanistan as a police trainer, embedded with the US Army, and I got this book because I wanted to read about Prince Harry's combat service there. However, I had to make it past 160 pages of this 252-page book, before he even got to Afghanistan! The author could easily have omitted at least the first fifty or more pages, which were all sorts of stories about Princess Diana's and Prince Charles' marital problems, that I cared nothing about. The next roughly 100 pages had "some" info on his Army service, but was still rather boring. Let me be clear, I have friends in England and have been to England, and I greatly respect the people there; I simply wanted to read about Harry's military service and Afghanistan experiences, not a lot of gossip. However, once the author began to actually write about what the Prince did in Afghanistan, in the final approximately eighty pages, it was informative and I enjoyed reading it. The closing remarks were particularly good and I certainly respect the Prince for his service in the Land of the Afghans.

Interesting, but now out of date

I'm not finished with my copy but Ken Haney's review seems pretty fair in it,s description of Harry's War. I bought the book because there just seems to be so little "Harry" material out there, it appears to me that much of what you'll read here is just more of you've already got a copy of elsewhere if you're into Royal family books. When I see "talking heads" on the news Robert Jobson is as likely as not to be the sole male expert on display.

It's as interesting for the military detail as anything but even that is outdated now as Harry has returned from his second tour of duty in Afghanistan.

Dated material that it is, from 2008, you might be ahead getting a cheap copy from one of the reseller's Amazon lists.

I love Kobe Bryant. He is an awesome basketball player and can be compared to anyone. He is super. Glad he was able to get his personal life together and hope to see him back in the NBA healthy. He is a dominant force and will never be forgotten.

So disappointing!

I've always like Jimmy Bullard as he came across as a great character. I thought this book would be really enjoyable, how wrong I was! The narrator was AWFUL, I think that was the main issue. He was boring, irritating and his long pauses made me think the sleep timer had kicked in! I will never buy anything narrated by David John again. They've let you down Jimmy!
