since being introduced to Annabel Joseph's books I seem to crave them - story telling is magnificent.

The audio is superb-- the voice is magic .

Not for the faint hearted!

This book is not going to appeal to those who don't understand the things that make the BDSM crowd tick. It describes some quite 'heavy' scenes which will almost certainly offend.

For the others, this is a fun, well crafted story, with plenty to tickle the fancy of both male and female readers

If new audio, then very good stuff

If from reading the prior reviews about the first 2 minutes being extremely bad, then this must be the new audio version because it sounded great to me. The narrator wasn't rushing through the opening lines as someone previously said, and I could listen and follow along without a problem.

I still have a hard time believing that Elisabeth could be so easily trained from being a swearing brat to a loving, demure submissive though. But the story was interesting and entertaining throughout - not being from the New York City area, I would have preferred less swearing, but I guess that's how the author sees her characters being.

And if you enjoy happy endings, this story is for you :-)

I don't get why the writer wants to put so much history on her characters into as few words as possible, leaving one entertained by the overall story, but lacking feeling for the characters. This story could easily have been longer and been even better.

I can't stay away from BDSM stories, especially those with a sexy billionaire! Part two finds Elise and Laurent stuck in a library during a blizzard. I really loved reading about their developing romance and the very, very hot scenes! The ending is very sweet, and I'm off to get the next installment! I'm really enjoying this story. I bought all 7 novels at once at a price of almost $18. But I feel it's worth it. I'm enjoying it very much. I loved the creative BDSM and sexy times. The setting and circumstances are par excellence. Very unique. I've read a ton of BDSM and I'm really enjoying this series! Both Hero and heroine are genuinely brilliant and have an incredible syncopated rhythm from the word go. On to the next one!

A touch of the otherworldly with initially bizarre influences of ancient Roman attitudes, this sci-fi erotic romance is fast-paced, dramatic and well-developed keeping readers wanting more. The historical influence is felt in some of the constraints on the citizens of the worlds: Panucia had advanced technology, but the leaders of the variant territories banned their use, as well as intergalactic travel.

Slavery, gladiator games and other bloodsports are common and popular, prostitution is rife in the lower classes, and much like today some territories and people are more cruel and harsh in their punishments than others.

Surinia is well-heeled and raised to be independent and thoughtful. When she takes up for the cruel punishment of a slave, her life changes and she sees the cruelty and despicable acts that heretofore had been beyond her notice.

Kritan, a Kartarian half man-half beast is on a mission to find his estranged brother. Caught in a trap, he is enslaved and rescued by the lovely Surinia. As she questions and learns more about this intriguing man, she agrees to help him escape: yet he uses her as a captive.

The story winds through backstory, intrigue, political machinations and some seriously hot and steamy moments, with scenes of ménage and some dance about the lines of dubious consent. A bit more take charge and push the boundaries than many may be comfortable with, this sci-fi romp does bring plot and purpose to the story and gives solid reasoning to the choices.

Narration is provided by David Benjamin Bliss and he manages to navigate all of the changes in characters, emotion, personality and threat with aplomb: creating distinct voices for each character with changes in pitch, tone and delivery. Small inflection changes add tension or emotion as required by the text, and the narration never overwhelms or directs the story that is being told.

A wonderfully fun sci-fi romp that dances on the edge of propriety, but keeps readers and listeners wanting more of the world and the beings that live there.

This was great... Love the whole Alien-shifter race in this one... The main characters where very well done.. from the princess to her guard...to the king! Nice... Didn't really like the 3-some in this one... b/c I really wanted the Princess to only be with the King...but I get why it was done..

Another disappointment

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The story was so out of touch with reality that it was hard to finish the book. It went to far with the restraints and it seemed as if Laura and Shane never connected long enough to make it last. Nothing like the past reviews I read about it...another disappointment.

This one has all the ingredients that I want. The plot is great. The sex is intense. It's got good guys and bad guys. The narration is very good. I'm well pleased. I'm more than happy I used my credit on this one. Not much more to say than that. I'll be keeping my eye on this author.

Sweet Restraint

Beth Kery is one of my all time favorite authors and I'd listen to Shirl Rae read a phone book.

Would you listen to Sweet Restraint again? Why?

On the fence with this author. This is not erotica, but it does have very strong BDSM action that is tempered. This author needs a better editor as she has the right stuff. Fast opening, and a good story line. The erotica part was good, but how many times does a listener have to hear the heroine cry out the hero's name "Shane"! Editor should have said enough already, move on. This one was inventive, but so many authors are writing in the same vain, and they do a good job, but you can not remember the author's name after you listen to 10 more stories of the same genre. Unless the reader is outstanding, and brings you back to a re listen, ie: Anna Fields, Natalie Ross and Karen White, I personally own so many to be listen books, I do not have time to re listen to these types of stories.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

this is a good inventive core romance with hot, erotic sex make no mistake. It was worth the listening time and I did listen all at once.

Did Shirl Rae do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I have to say, I have mixed feeling about this reader. I am fairly sure she has an AKA and I have listened to her using another name. ie: Lucy Malone, similar but maybe not the same. This reader did a good job representing the characters in this book, a good range. She had a fast pace, which so many of these FSOG types need.

Dominant Cop - Submissive Attorney

I wanted to like this book; the idea of female attorney (April) meets sexy male cop (Rogan) had potential. Unfortunately, Rogan is a "dominant" who thinks that April needs to learn to be submissive to him - big yawn! April is a caring, educated and supposedly smart woman who turns control of her mind & body over to a man she barely knows; that seemed more stupid and dangerous than romantic or erotic. Rogan needs to be in control because he grew up in an abusive family, as if becoming a control freak is therapeutic. I lost interest in both characters about half way through Give In To Me.

"Grab Em by the Pussy" - Trump

If your ideal romance hero is "The Donald" then this book is for you.

If your ideal romance hero needs to have respect and boundaries and well...yeah, respect for his lady, then this book is probably not so much for you.

Our girl is on her way to an interview when she is mugged. After being beaten up, breaking the nose of the mugger, being interviewed by cops, this tough as nails lady limps her way, three hours late, to her interview hoping to convince the boss for a second chance. Within minutes of meeting her in an alley, he is shoving his hands up her skirt and grabbing her pussy. Even though she finds him sexy, she is just as surprised as I was by the sudden pussy grabbing. I almost quit the book there but I gave him a second chance and at the second meeting he is again grabbing her pussy and trying to force her signature on a "contract" she does not agree with.

The author tried to make him come off as all alpha and sexy aggressive in his pursuit but he was Trumpy and rapey instead.

I only got to chapter three but I did not really need more.

Good stories

If you like short stories and cowboys you will love these stories. I bought this book thinking it was just one story, but I enjoyed it. As with any book liked some more than others but all were good.

nope. I like the idea of short stories of this nature, but this reader killed what good parts there may have been.

What didnt you like about Annie Greens performance?

A bit too Southern and no good male voice qualities. I will not be buying anything more from this reader. Gads, at least try for a decent male voice. Shoot, all this breathy female high pitched voices are getting on my nerves. They are ruining a good sexy listen.

Almost anything narrated by Christian Fox is an automatic download for me and if you buy this one, you'll understand why.

This book is about a love. It's an awakening for Gage and a fulfillment for Oops. Honestly, that's her nickname, being named that because she was born to her parents when they thought they were done with having babies.

Because this is an erotic romance, I don't want to say more, because we know what that adjective describes, however; this is one of the best written and narrated ones I've listened to. There is some BDSM, but it's not too difficult to listen to rating it on a scale of 1-10, I"d give it a 5. I'm not a fan on BDSM literature, but like I said, I couldn't pass up listening to a erotic book narrated by Christian Fox.

For those who choose to listen to erotica, then this one will be worth your credit or your money.

This was a pretty good story. I liked both Zoe and Gage and enjoyed their story. This was a good addition to the series.

Zoe is a 20 year old college student that is also the little sister of Brice (the hero from book #2 of the series Damaged Goods). Shes been in love with Brices best friend, Gage, since she was a kid. Unfortunately Gage has never shown any interest in her other than as a little sister. This was understandable since she was too young for Gage until recently and they havent seen each other in 3 years. Now however, Zoe has managed to set up a New York visit where shell be staying in Gages guest room and shes determined to get Gage to notice her as a woman.

Gage is a Dom thats in New York for a while on family business. Hes satisfied with his life but hes looking for someone special, a sub that will be his full time slave that he can do whatever he likes with. Hes spent time in a local club but none of the subs hes had up to now have fit what he wants. When he goes to the airport to pick up his best friends little sister (a girl hes always seen as a sister type) Gage is in for a shock when instead of the girl he knew he instead finds a beautiful woman that turns him on greatly.

When Gage picks up Zoe he has a hard time keeping his hands off of her. Zoe doesn't make it easy for her as she goes all out to show him just how adult she is now.
