Rowe and Justin are more than just employer and employee and they both want Dani. Loved how these 3 came together. Loved it a great short story.

The Bigger They Are...

I loved Dani, Rowe and Justin. Some may say Justin was a jerk, but I think the author did a great job showing that he was exactly what Dani and Rowe needed. Very sexy stuff.

As a first in a series, this book was just enough to whet my appetite for more. Steamy hot, with nice setting, strong characters and passion.

The little Dom thing in a menage relationship was definitely arousing. I liked how the heroine had to come around and decide if she was a one-man-woman

or she could love both equally. And the MEN, my sweet jesus, where they hot! And surprisingly emotional. All this combined with good erotica and not stalling

the plot makes this a perfect weekend read. Make sure you have your partner around after you read it ;)

What was most disappointing about Cerys du Lyss story?

The most disappointing about this book was the narrator, she sounded like a 12 year old. The story was unbelievable. I thought that the silly girl was dreaming.

great small town romance...

What do a firefighter and a bakery owner have in common? In this book, they are both still unmarried while all of their friends are hooked up. She's been crushing on him; he hasn't ever noticed her that way, mainly on purpose. They've always been friends and it would be awkward if they got together and then broke up. Plus, she's the marriage and kids kind and he doesn't think he deserves that. However, after a kiss the year before, she has harbored a crush that then blows up into a flame -- she wants him to take her virginity. They end up getting together and things go the way nature intended... and then it all gets messed up! Let's just say, there's a lot of fixing before they get their HEA. I enjoyed this book very much!

And another one bites the dust

Book three in this series revolves around the third Wyatt brother who is the self-proclaimed Casanova of Wyattville. He is a man whose early disappointment in the romance department has colored all his involvement with women, all of which have been brief encounters only. Yet his attention seems far more focused on Kate than he ever expected and to a level that is WAY out of his comfort zone. This short novel is really about two emotionally injured individuals who are both deeply afraid of the vulnerability of truly loving someone, yet both yearn for the intimacy and deep connection of an authentic love relationship. This author writes beautifully and keeps her characters sharp and the story action moving without overloading the narrative with pages and pages of introspection. And I might happily add, the stories are well edited and the author uses very correct English, something a former English teacher like me truly appreciates. This series has been released for several years now, but it is still terrific and deserves to be read and enjoyed.

Loved It!

I was waiting for this story so I could finish out the brothers. I wasn't disappointed. I love both of these characters and will definitely be rereading it! He was definitely an alpha to die for. I liked how Kate decided what she wanted for herself and set out to get it. A nice twist with 'danger' to keep it from being boring.

This author does a great job of writing a short story and actually giving us a STORY not just a bunch of sex scenes. You get to know who the characters are what causes them to behave the way they do. Wonderful job.

I'm guessing Ryan's story will be next and i can't wait!

Flash point

So this story was cute. I enjoyed it. I just couldn't stand that there were no POV breaks. It was so jarring at some points I had to reread the sentence to see who was not narrating. I also wish there was character development. There wasn't really much.

I loved it and had really looked forward to it's release. What a story! It was a little short and the ending was rather abrupt.

A lipsmackingly good read!

My first book by Shelli Stevens was Dangerous Grounds, the first book in the Seattle Steam series which I read a long time back. But Dangerous Grounds has always lurked somewhere at the back of my mind as a book that I enjoyed immensely and I just might give in and revisit Gabe and Madison one of these days. So when I found out by following Ms. Stevens on Twitter that her latest release is all about a tortured hero who needs healing in all the ways possible, I didn't hesitate to get myself a copy and indulge. And indulge is what I did as this short story delivered on all fronts and made all my senses come wonderfully alive with the raw sensuality between Trevor and Megan.

The story kicks off when Trevor walks into a coffee shop in his small hometown of Wyattsville to overhear the most notorious gossip in town declare that his ex-fiance Megan Asher was getting married. The streak of possessiveness that strikes through Trevor when he hears that someone else might claim his Megan is overwhelming to say the least. And it is with all this jealousy and possessiveness lurking close to the surface, almost ready to explode that Trevor confronts Megan to find out whether there was anything to the rumors floating around town.

Megan can't believe it when without any warning Trevor walks in demanding to know whether the news that she was getting married that was circulating around town could be at all true. It is true that Megan had been the one to walk out on Trevor and their engagement but it had been Trevor who had really left their relationship after coming back injured from tour duty in Afghanistan, a man too haunted by memories that he had refused to let go or get professional help for him to heal. But leaving Trevor and trying to get over him certainly hadn't worked at all when all Trevor had to do was just walk in for all her senses to come alive and slap her on her head for walking out on him.

With Trevor determined to win back what he rightfully considers as his, the heat is on as two people who have always shared a combustible passion between them fires up the pages in this delectable read. But compatibility in bed and out of it and a love that can last a lifetime certainly doesn't seem to be enough when Trevor still ends up walking out on Megan afraid that by staying he would only end up hurting her. And it is Megan who remains undeterred in her conviction that she would help exorcise whatever ghosts that haunted Trevor and move them closer to the happily ever after that they both so much deserve making this book a lipsmackingly good read.

I absolutely hated the H the moment the truth was revealed I was very interested how the Author would proceed answer is bad very very bad but very predictable you know same ole same ole h been the doormat that she is gets angry for a hot 2 seconds H says he loves her h forgives him yada yada yada they live happily ever after bla bla bla...... Back bone miss Banks give a chick a little credit.....It's not often a book makes you want the H and h not to end up together and have a HEA but that would have been a lot better than this..........

Denied!

Bryony Morgan has to find answers- she has no plans to be denied! She can't fathom why that man acts like she is a stranger, he doesn't remember the nights of passion,the insatiable desires that fueled there uncontrollable passion. And definitely doesn't remember the promises or that growing secret, The relationship is shrouded with secrets and unrealized deals..she fell hard but will he remember? Rafael De Luca, has absolutely NO recollection of this woman, and he doesn't remember because of an accident that wiped it away along with a secret deal..Comeback to the islands and remember..She doesn't know about the accident and the events that transpired on that island..Can he remember? Book 1 of the pregnancy and passion is beautifully written and definitely a 5 star read!

Just a Memory?

You can't go wrong with ita Maya Banks novel. She is a master storyteller, weaving entertaining and compelling romance with rich, multilayered characters. Bryony and Rafael fell in love on a small island paradise. Or did they? She shows up months later, pregnant but he has no memory of her or their time together. Yet he is inextricably drawn to her. They return to whwere it all began. Can they rewrite, relive or remember their story?

Nice message about change

First in the Pregnancy & Passion contemporary romance series and revolving around four men, friends and business partners. The couple focus is on Rafael de Luca and Bryony Morgan.

My Take

This was better than I expected. It is a typical Harlequin romance and with a beautiful message in it about not staying the same jerky person you were. Well, okay, it really could be generalized into one can change the type of person one is, if one chose.

Okay, I'm not buying that Rafael is so quickly concerned about Bryony's pregnancy nor that he accepts her statement as easily as he does. I would have expected there to be more doubt. His friends certainly had their doubts, strong ones. It made their final reaction much less believable.

The Cinderella moment wasn't believable either, that or I'm way beyond impressed that Ramon could find her that quickly based on a pair of shoes.

The amnesia Rafe experiences gives Banks a lot of leeway on how she develops the conflict between Rafe and Bryony, as Banks doesn't have to work too hard to portray two different Rafes. It also provides a reason for that shocking discovery at the end. Ooh, boy.

I suspect that Banks padded this out quite a bit.

Shallow Characters and Plot

I'm not familiar with the original Jane Eyre so I am basing this on the book's own merits. Jane's character is completely unbelievable - her obsession with Mr. Rochester - her overactive sexuality that comes from nowhere. Mr. Rochester is laughably one-dimensional. The ending is not credible. The book was saved by Penelope Rawlins' wonderful performance.

Not so much

Didn't like it that Mr. Rochester turned out to be whipped by his crazy wife. Didn't like the last few chapters.

Sexy D/s novel

Loved this book! Laura is a girl after my own heart--shy and a bit reserved in public, but her mind is often occupied by lurid sexual fantasies about people she knows, or embellishments of the spanking scenes in the 1950's adventure romances she likes to read. Soon after she begins to fantasize about being dominated and spanked, she starts getting mysterious emails from someone only identified as The Controller. Although she's shocked, she's also turned on and can't resist fulfilling his requests, which become more and more daring. Eventually she does find out who it is, and the second half or so of the book is about the development of the dominant/submissive relationship between them.

If you enjoy spanking, punishment, and the dominant/submissive aspect of BDSM I absolutely recommend this book. Plenty of sexy scenes of punishment and submission, but nothing too very extreme. While I don't necessarily mind if the characters in erotica don't have a lot of depth, that wasn't the case with Laura. She was interesting and lovable and I really identified with her, and I enjoyed that aspect of the book as well as the sex scenes. You get to see her from the time she gets curious about spanking through the development of a full-fledged D/s relationship. A very sexy fantasy...I really enjoyed it and will read it again.

Very interesting read. 3,5-4 stars.

The story wasn't as intense as they usually are when it comes to D/s relationship. It starts slow (a bit too low for my taste, but I'll get to that:)).

It starts with a book, that heroine is reading on a way to and from work, which gets her into the whole "mess" :-). She gets intrigued by some of the scenes in it. First it comes shock, then curiosity and the, "Hmm... I would like what she's having." :-).

One day, she comes to work and finds an email from someone called Controller telling her to wear stockings to work next time. She goes all "WTF?". And that is when the whole fun starts. She's not about to obey some random perv. She starts thinking who might he be. Maybe it's her boss? He kind of fits the bill. Maybe it's one of the guys from work. She decides to wear stockings to work, to flush the weirdo out. No luck. It's fun to read about how paranoid she gets, because she doesn't have any idea who mysterious man is. Then she receives more emails with different demands and almost gives her self a stroke trying to figure out who he is :-D.

Ugh....

This was truly awful....really. I made it about 45 minutes into the book before I just had to turn it off. A woman who works at a sex club got fired from her last job for having sex at work, offers to have a threesome out of the blue with another employee......but dumps her boyfriend for talking dirty to someone on the phone? Ya....that happens.

I don't expect realism, it is fiction afterall, but sheesh.....there ought to be enough in there that I can get caught up in the fantasy of it.

I suppose it might get better later in the book, but I'll never know.
