    Publisher's Summary:
No two people are exactly alike, but Elijah Crowe is very, very different. Elijah is on the autism spectrum, so the tasks of day-to-day life most people breeze through are a challenge for him. His career suffered because he never got the hang of schmoozing, and now he wastes his talents teaching classes at the mall. His social circle is limited to his ex, his therapist, and a structured inclusion group at the Rec Center. The one bright spot in his life is the memory science of Mnemography.
Although he loves nothing better than devouring the latest research and tinkering with all the specialized equipment, he never clicked with any other experts in the field until he met Daniel Schroeder. Daniel runs a memory palace - he even writes his own mnems - and that shared interest alone would make him fascinating. But Daniel and Elijah met under unusual circumstances, where the statement, "I like you, and I think you like me," held some surprising nuances.
Now Elijah suspects he's gay, but the few prominent people in his life are less than supportive. Some are downright hostile. Elijah might not be neurotypical, but he's plenty smart. Surely he can figure out some way to make people accept him for who he is.

Amazing! My favorite of the series - Love Elijah!
I am constantly impressed by Jordan Castillo Price. I dont know why I keep forgetting this, or maybe its less that and the more I read by her, the more I love.
I had avoided this series because I'm not a fan of speculative fiction in the dystopian sense, and something about the blurb felt that way - I'm not sure why. But really, the science fiction part is there, for sure, but this is more a story about relationships and expectations and dealing with people and their "quirks". I had no idea about the autism and I love that about this, but that's not all.
I am struck by how multi-faceted this story is. We have the fascinating science fiction the ability to make memories, the philosophy that inspires what is real? the relationship between Daniel and his father, the relationship between Daniel and Elijah, the relationship between Elijah and Beth and Elijahs autism. Its just so much! Youd think that with all this going on the story would be bulky or awkward, but it isnt.
Jordan is just so gifted that all the nuances are neatly ensconced in the story and as a reader, it isnt until Im thinking about it that I realize just how detailed and complex the story really is.
The second part of this trilogy is written from Elijahs perspective and its FASCINATING! Im not sure we can ever know what its like to actually be in someone elses head, but in this case, the POV is startlingly different from being in Daniels head. Elijah just thinks differently so his perspective on events in not the same as youd imagine the same events.
I loved that we got to see his yearning and understand where hes coming from then compare that to how Daniel feels and what he sees.
The story about Daniels fathers memory issues moves forward, but we see more about the romance in this installment. Its so easy to see how Daniel fits in Elijahs world so well and I was so pleased that when the two find themselves at a hurdle, they push through it rather than let it form a wall between the two of them.

Laurie and Sasha have built a bright new world together. Sasha is working for the Immigration Guidance Council, and Laurie is landing theatre roles he could once only have dreamed of. Best of all, they've spent the past two years enjoying the love they snatched from the jaws of Sasha's violent, dangerous past.
But Laurie has a history too. He's on edge, his talents increasing beyond his ability to deal with them. And although his father is dead, Laurie can't deny the turbulent genetic heritage the old man has bestowed on him. Only Sasha's love is keeping him anchored and sane - and Sasha is vulnerable, shaken by bad dreams about his life on the streets.
Then Laurie learns that Sasha's Romanian gang-lord father is on the loose in London, and his deepest fears boil to the surface. The last time Stefan's shadow fell, Sasha made a run for it, and Laurie can't bear the thought of losing him again. When Laurie lands a part in the latest Hollywood blockbuster, he abandons England for a dream of safety in the States, persuading the astonished Sasha to come with him.
But the dream becomes a waking nightmare for both of them beneath an alien Californian sun. Laurie must meet his demons head-on, and Sasha must confront the inner barricades that have kept him from treating Laurie as a comrade as well as a lover and a friend. The frosts of a midwinter London brought them together - will this blazing summer crack them apart, or forge enduring love from first romance?

    Wonderful Story
    Any additional comments?
This was a wonderful continuation of The Midwinter Prince series. This book was from both Laurie's and Sasha's POV. The words of Harper Fox combined with the narration of Rusty Coles make for a very enjoyable listening experience. Highly recommend this.
Simply magnificent story of love and atonement
What did you love best about The Lost Prince?
This book has everything. At its heart is a strong love story between diverse, extremely compelling characters - Sasha and Laurie . There is sort of a role reversal when Laurie takes on the protection of Sasha - he has stalwart intentions but blunders it so badly with such misappropirated aplomb. They both care so fiercely for each other they don't always make the best decisions. I appreciate that the story took some unexpected twists such as Laurie falling into substance abuse issues as a coping mechanism, rather than being honest with Sasha. What Laurie thought were protections led to worse problems. I also like that the story ran the full gamut from happy career, happy home life, to turbulent upheaval, culture shock, emotional betrayal, and the action/adventure climactic scenes. The secondary characters are all clearly presented and very pivotal to the story. Such wonderful escapism for this reader.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Lost Prince?
Hmm, so many. Many of them are reveals, so I can't be specific. I do like how intense both Laurie and Sasha are about their work, and in their feelings for one another. Although Laurie's intensity gets him into trouble at times -to say the least... I did love how when how all seemed hopeless, a figure from the past appeared to lend a very big helping hand.

    Publisher's Summary:
Jason Walker is a child star turned teen heartthrob turned reluctant B-movie regular who's sick of his failing career. So he gives up Hollywood for northern Idaho, far away from the press, the drama of LA, and the best friend he's secretly been in love with for years.
There's only one problem with his new life: a strange young man only he can see is haunting his guesthouse. Except Benjamin Ward isn't a ghost. He's a man caught out of time, trapped since the Civil War in a magical prison where he can only watch the lives of those around him. He's also sweet, funny, and cute as hell, with an affinity for cheesy '80s TV shows. And he's thrilled to finally have someone to talk to.
But Jason quickly discovers that spending all his time with a man nobody else can see or hear isn't without its problems - especially when the tabloids find him again and make him front-page news. The local sheriff thinks he's on drugs, and his best friend thinks he's crazy. But Jason knows he hasn't lost his mind. Too bad he can't say the same thing about his heart.

Maybe the best Holiday Audiobook This Year!
When Jason Walker, a B list actor finds himself in a small town re-thinking his life, hes shocked and amazed to find hes not living alone.
Ben is the boy who haunts a snowglobe he finds in the house left by a previous tenant.
Jason, ironically a B list horror film star, is either crazy or Ben is real and a ghost.
I dont want to give away big secrets but I will drop these morsels:
Ben and Jason find a way to touch one another
Jason is the only one who can see Ben
Neither knows a way other than death for them to be together in real life
This book ends with a delightful HEA
    **
I think this may be my favorite Marie Sexton book (after her Coda series). Her writing is gorgeous and evocative and really draws the reader in from the first page.
The way she solves the main dilemma is both terrifying and wonderful!
I highly recommend this story to fans of the belief that love conquers all, for people who believe that there are Christmas miracles, to believers in magic and to fans of sweet and sappy romances everywhere!

    Audio
Nick J Russo does another amazing job. Hes easy to listen to and really carries the emotion well. My only disappointment was that he didnt give Ben an old fashioned voice or any sort of voice inflection or accent. He sounds just as anyone else would in our day in time and I guess in a way that makes sense but I was hoping for something a little different. Just something to remind us that his voice is coming from a music box
In any case, it was still wonderful and a fantastic way to experience this amazing story!
    4.5 of 5 stars

If you buy one audio book this year get this one
I don't know if I can relay to you how amazing this story is it has everything from two very strong main characters to a creepy home. This book is on my re-read list. Marie Sexton choose the perfect narrator for this. Nick J. Russo made this come more to life. Fantastic work both the author and the narration.
    Hauntingly romantic
Would you consider the audio edition of Winter Oranges to be better than the print version?
I didn't read the print version, but Nick J Russo brings the story to life so I would imagine that would. The story is so good its a win either way!
Who was your favorite character and why?
    Ben! He is unusual.

Super sexy and fun Christmas story
Where does Champagne Kisses rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
Since I've loved the majority of the Audio's I've listened to, that's a hard question to answer. It's worth a listen and I'll definitely listen to it again every year around the Holidays.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Champagne Kisses?
The intimacy when these two come together. I enjoyed reading it last year when I read the e-book, but there was something about the way Silversmith told the story that added an extra layer to it.
Have you listened to any of Tobias Silversmiths other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not, sorry. But I'll listen to him again for sure.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Again, the intimacy. This is a super short story so the moments come and go quickly. But I absolutely loved the way the intimacy was conveyed both in the written and audio versions.
    Any additional comments?
    Tams e-book review from 2015
Evan Cleary has worked hard to start his own business as an Event Planner, scrimping and saving to build the business from the ground up. Now he fears it will take two jilted grooms about five minutes to tear it down. Evan thinks fast and with the assistance of one grooms grumpy brother and check writing momma, Evan pulls off a fantastic Christmas party in place of the wedding and impresses everyone in the room. Including Mr. Grumpy.
Richard Patterson labels Evan as flamboyant and femme from the start and puts a lid on his attraction to the cute Wedding Planner. Alcohol, atmosphere and an adorably frustrated Evan causes Richard to re-think that decision. The two share a heated kiss, but then Richard opens his big, fat mouth which riles Evan's fur. Thankfully, Richard is a pretty smart guy, he makes Evan an offer that is hard to refuse. One night, no strings, just sex.
Short and sexy... this was just a fast, funny read. The chemistry between Evan and Richard wasn't evident at first, it took a few pages to get a feel for them overall. I thought Richards aversion to flamboyant, femme men then falling hard for one was a nice twist. Evan aggravated me toward the end though, the way he tried to blow Richard off, I didn't think it fit in the story the way it had been written up to that point.

    Publisher's Summary:
Re-release of best-selling 2009 novel - What happens when Rory travels halfway across the country to meet the girl of his dreams? Certainly not what he expected.
Rory's just a simple southern boy from St. Antoine's Parish, Louisiana, but he knows what he wants - the girl of his dreams, reclusive and mysterious artist Ran Yamane. He's loved her since junior high school, and now he has the chance to meet her. He chucks everything and travels 1,500 miles to Anime Expo in Long Beach just so he can tell her. He's determined that nothing and nobody are going to stand in his way.
Turns out, Ran Yamane isn't a girl, but he gets that a lot. People come to him with teddy bears and chocolates and disappointment by the truckload. He's trusted fans in the past and paid the price. So when he meets Rory he is understandably wary, but resigned. He isn't prepared for his magnetic attraction to the young man, Rory's apparent willingness to overlook his gender, and the chaos that ensues when his number one fan (and psycho stalker) shows up to get revenge.

    Almost Perfect !!!
The cover of Drawn Together caught my eye, I liked the synopsis, I've had good luck w/ ZA Maxfield and Audible Studios; but it was Greg Boudreaux (Tremblay) who made it an immediate download.
So, even though it was 1am and I needed to be conscious in the morning, I couldn't resist a quick listen. ZA & Greg had me hooked from the first sentence. Sometime after 4am I managed to tear myself away for a few hours.
I REALLY don't like angst in my fiction or thrillers or books with psycho stalkers who torture & kill. I REALLY don't like plots where a character makes a "difficult decision for the good of them both" and "big misunderstandings" ensue. I LOVED this book anyway!
How can you not love a book where one character is described by a friend as being 1 part John the Baptist, 1 part John Holmes and 1 part Elmo; while the not girl of his dreams turns out to be an anime artist who personifies Bishnen?
A lot of stereotypes get flung around, but the characters alternately own & defy them.
ZA Maxfield has created a wonderful, humorous, dramatic, romantic, & fun M/M story. Add to that Greg's Exquisite performance, and you have a book that's nearly impossible to pause for bothersome details like food or sleep. Thank you Audible Studios for bringing us this!
It's not perfect, but for me the only thing that would make it better is seeing Ran Yamane's art.
    Greg Boudreaux rocks this!
    Any additional comments?
Drawn Together was one of the first M/M books I read. I have really fond memories of this story and when I found out it was being re-released as an audiobook...well, I was happier than a pig in mud. Then I found out Greg Tremblay, performing under his steamier "Greg Boudreaux" moniker, was going to narrate and my excitement knew no bounds.
I absolutely loved the narration! Greg does not disappoint with his wonderful southern drawl for Rory, Yamane's lighter tones, the pure creepiness of Amelia, and the perfectly pitched side characters.
I'll admit I did some eye rolling and teeth gritting at the story this time around. This is one of those times I had a hard time re-reading a book I loved years ago.
I completely credit my ability to suspend disbelief and just enjoy the story and flow directly to the awesome narration by Greg.

A great ending to s superb series
I LOVED the series and really LOVED this book. It was a great conclusion to the series. However it's sad to know there won't be anymore Elaine, Dr. Xavier Vincent, Sebastian and of course Marco. I'll miss them. I truly enjoyed this trilogy plus the novella. It was a very unique story that was very hot, steamy and loving. Renea Mason is a writing genius. This story had everything. It ended much different than I expected but even better than I expected. Such a great read. If you're a romance fan with an open mind, you really need to check out this trilogy. I highly recommend it. I've LOVED everything she has written. I also highly recommend her Symphony of Light series. It's AMAZING. I'm in love with that series as well. Talk about being a truly talented author. I can't wait to see what Renea Mason comes up with next.
    PERFECT ENDING! WOW!! JUST PERFECT!
SHE DID IT AGAIN!!! WOW!!! What a perfect ending to an amazing trilogy!!! This entire series has been so action packed, seriously dirty and all around perfect! I can't say it enough, READ THIS SERIES!!! The Good Doctor Trilogy is filled with brains which I seriously love, these characters are not only SEXY, they are brilliant!! Xavier, Sebastian & Marco are each every women's dream but together... I don't even think most women dream that good. I think my favorite thing about this book was that we got complete closure on all aspects of this story. I will miss this series but I will be stalking the Author waiting for whatever is next and still getting my Author/Narrator combo fix with her PNR series.
The narration was great of course, If you haven't listen to Duet style narration, these two own it!
    Well worth the wait!
Would you consider the audio edition of Loving Doctor Vincent to be better than the print version?
Oh my god, YES! These two take this book to the next level! Levine has "mastered" his alpha male voice, while Deward can flip the switch from a breathless Elaine to a cold-hearted Victoria with ease. This was a beautiful experience.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Loving Doctor Vincent?
I have to pick only one??? Ha! No way. Every sex scene, every conspiracy, the fights... all of it was memorable.
What does Noah Michael Levine and Erin Deward bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Um, lemme think... realism, I think first and foremost. I AM Elaine in this story, and it's compounded by their brilliant acting.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I wanted to, and ended up staying awake far too late last night. Unfortunately, at 1:30 in the morning, I had to pause it.

    Perfect fluffy goodness!
    Any additional comments?
I honestly didn't think I could love this story any more than I already did. Easily on my favorites shelf, this is a perfectly fluffy, low angst, feel good romance that is absolutely, impeccably captured by Michael Ferraiuolo's performance.
I loved every minute of it.
Ferraiuolo's choices for Oliver, Jaime, and Jack's voices were faultless. He precisely captures Oliver's shyness, Jaime's infatuation, and even Jack's wistfulness.
The narration is a brilliant complement to a really wonderful, lovely story.
This is a perfect romance for anyone looking for a lighter, low angst, feel good story with great characters, hot sex, and a perfect sigh-worthy HEA ending.
    Highly Recommended!
    So Effin' Sweet!!!! 6 stars!
Oh my goodness this is SO effin SWEET!
The blurb tells the basics: Oliver, an overweight game designer, has moved to Seattle and has decided to do a make-over with his life.. He hires an escort to teach him how to be a better lover since he was told by an ex that he lacked skill. When Jaime, a very attractive older man, comes over and notices the book hed brought in to signal the escort, Oliver assumes Jaime is the escort.
Jaime is just a man whos finally realized his passion leans toward bigger men and hes finally embracing it and he approaches Oliver out of real interest, not professional, but he realizes that Oliver needs the paying for it to overcome his shyness.
Just as can be predicted from the beginning the deception can only go so far before someone gets hurt.
But its so much more than that. There are layers, and a sad ex and growth and laughter.
    **
Unlike SO MANY books with overweight characters this is NOT A MAKEOVER STORY! Thank GOD! Oliver is PERFECT as he is and Jaime shows him that he can be loved exactly as he is.
Even disguised as just getting healthy, books that show the MC changing their bodies and finding love are really telling everyone that only the physically perfect can find love. Even if the author tries to show differently. Cardeno C doesnt do that and its so beautiful!
Another GORGEOUS part of this story is that there is no BIG MISUNDERSTANDING! Instead of drama and angst, we have two grown-ups having conversations about their concerns. Despite the way they met. It was so refreshing!
The writing is excellent as always.

    Publisher's Summary:
Neil Dalton's foundation is already cracking. Grief, guilt, and PTSD have ruled his life since a terrible crime tore his world apart last year, and he's dreading a holiday visit with the family he simultaneously needs and resents. Then someone from his past shows up and rattles that shaky foundation right out from under him.
First a war nearly destroyed Jeremy Kelley, then his family threw him out when he needed them the most. Now he's barely holding on emotionally. He spends his last dollar to get to Chicago and prays his former best friend won't leave him out in the cold.
Neil and Jeremy spend the holidays with Neil's family in their hometown of Omaha. They struggle to deal with families, flashbacks...and feelings that haven't even begun to fade since their last failed attempt at being more than friends. As they try to repair their fractured psyches and rebuild damaged bridges, they rely on each other more than ever, but they can't deny the mutual attraction that's existed since before they were both emotionally battered and scarred. If they couldn't make it work back then, how in the world can they pull it off now?

This book is anything but cold.
Where does From out in the Cold rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
    It's a favorite, that's for sure.
What other book might you compare From out in the Cold to and why?
Any other book written by LA Witt and narrated by Charlie David. They have an amazing partnership and I love everything I listen to from Charlie that was written by Witt.
What about Charlie Davids performance did you like?
    Everything.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Neil finally let's it all go, accepts his true feelings for Jeremy and lets Jeremy in.
    Decent Book, Horrible Recording
The actual novel is quite alright, albeit a bit formulaic. But for all its predictability, it's covers a topic that needs to be written about, namely PTSD. It's offers both sweet romance and a glimmer of hope for people who might feel hopeless. In addition to the principle relationship, there are a number of examples of grace in other relationships.
I would recommend reading this book. And I mean *reading* it, because this recording of it is substandard in a number of ways. For one thing, the narrator sounds very much like a computer generated voice. Moreover, much of the time, the recording sounds as though the blank spaces between words has been removed to speed it up. Worst of all, about half way through, the treble disappears almost completely, rendering the audio nearly inaudible unless the listener goes into her or his settings to put the bass on minimum and the treble on maximum. Obviously, this made the sound quality even more unpleasant than it already was.
I hate to say it, but this recording should not have been released. It demonstrates a very slipshod attitude toward production values.
    Wow!
"It's a welcome addition to my library. I've read it twice, and , as with his/her other books, I'll probably read it multiple times. It's not often, I find an author who make a story not only believable, but enlightening.
    Enjoyable
Good book for a simple relaxing time. What I expected.
