Badly wounded in Afghanistan when the helicopter she is piloting goes down under enemy fire, Captain Quinn Briscoe is struggling to rebuild her life. Facing not only a disfiguring injury, but a medical discharge and the end of a serious relationship, Quinn increasingly shuts herself - and her heart - off from the rest of the world. Her first meeting with lovely, self-confident and successful business owner Alison Jenkins is disastrous, and Quinn feels an instant antipathy for the woman, along with an undeniable attraction.
Trying to get along for the sake of her sister Rebekah, who's gone to work for Allie, Quinn offers to fly the attractive boutique owner to a family wedding. However, what should have been a quick one day trip to the mountains of North Carolina suddenly turns into a long weekend at a romantic lodge. When a series of circumstances makes it increasingly clear that Quinn won't be able to deny the growing passion between them much longer, will she be able to put the scars of the past aside to build a relationship with Allie worth fighting for?

    A Simple but Nice Story
So narrator was okay. I felt when she was speaking as a character she was pretty good but when just narrating she was a bit monotone and a bit nonchalant. I liked the book because it was simple and sweet read and the Audio is decent enough. I don't regret getting it.
Sweet Lesbian Road Trip-Story/Narration Well Done!
I enjoyed this story very much. The story is not especially deep, but it is engaging and sweet. The characters are not complicated, but they are very well developed, relatable, and interesting. If youre looking for a quick, easy feel good listen, this is a great choice. There is just a tiny bit of stereotyping as we follow two women over a weekend trip where they experience, initial dislike of each other, followed by mutual attraction, and a quick jump to romance & even some steamy sex. But there is also touching and comedic moments that will make you smile and maybe even laugh out loud! Definitely worth a listen!
    Hilarious
What did you love best about Falling Slowly?
The humor of all the characters.
What did you like best about this story?
Too short which I think made it feel a little rushed at times.
Have you listened to any of Lynn Devereuxs other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. Liked all of the ones I have read.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    I did.
    Any additional comments?
Love and humor. What more could you ask for.
    Listenable Again and Again
This short novel, super novella is in my top ten list in the lesbian fiction genre. The two major protagonists are both very likable, although Quinn pushes that factor pretty hard in their second meeting before redeeming herself in their third. Allie's cousin and business partner Amanda is a forgettable character but Quinn's sister Rebecca is good and Allie's Aunt Marge is a hoot. It was particularly funny when she asked Quinn if she and Allie lesbianed together. In my opinion this one is a can't miss listening experience, enjoy.
    pretty good listen
I enjoyed it. I was doing my puzzle while listening to the audio. It was cute; that's the word I would use to describe the book.

    Book 2 of 4
This episode consists another 25 minutes total with a second sexual encounter a week following book 1 and the stranger tops but leaves the bedroom without leaving name or phone number again. The performance leads the Story and the Overall process of spending too little time being engaged by the authors.
I have no interest wasting my time with books 3 and 4. I really am more interested in why anyone would stretch this little work into 4 books. Books 3 & 4 are approximately 50 minutes long each. Do you really think there is suddenly going to be a great plot and ending from these two authors? I don't.

When his sister and her husband are killed in an accident, Aussie cattle station owner Lachlan McCoughney rushes to Texas to rescue their infant daughter, Chloe. He expects to find his niece living in squalor with the Sheffields, a rodeo family.
Instead, Lachlan finds Holden Sheffield, a salt-of-the-earth cowboy, running a huge business operation. Insta-romance with some suspense and humor
    Any additional comments?
This fun and sweet romance actually has a little bit of everything: humor, insta-love, suspense, some emotionally charged scenes, action, heartache, some sexiness, and even a kidnapping!
For over two years Aussie cattle station owner Lachlan McCoughney has been looking for his runaway sister. Instead of the happy reunion he hopes for he instead finds out his sister and her husband have recently been killed in a plane crash leaving behind their infant daughter in the custody of her husband's twin brother, Holden Sheffield.
Lachlan immediately rushes to Texas to take custody of his niece from Holden. There's friction between the two at first, but, of course, that friction turns to sparks and the two fall in love. Lachlan recognizes how perfect Holden is with their niece Chloe, and he tries to work out how to break it to his parents that Chloe will be staying with the family she already has. However, when Chloe is kidnapped the two men must work together to bring her home.
Yes, it is bit dramatic at times, and the insta-love is super fast (especially under the circumstances), but I was prepared for all of that and enjoyed it all.
The only thing I was baffled by is how Holden, who runs a huge rodeo operation in the U.S., and Lachlan, who runs an enormous cattle station in Australia, would be able to make a relationship work. In the end obviously there's a solution, but I didn't quite buy it. I found myself having to suspend my disbelief a lot in order to enjoy the HEA.
Rusty Topsfield is a great narrator and I enjoyed the narration overall with one glaring exception. I'll admit I didn't care for his Australian accents. Though I give full kudos for him making an effort, I felt like his Aussie needs some work.
If you're looking for an insta-romance with some suspense and humor, and are a fan of the Dreamspun Desires series, I think you'll enjoy this as much as I did.
    Really enjoyable
I I like the characters and the narrator and can't wait for the next book.
Rusty's accents aren't that great but good emotion
Lachlans sister Adie left her life of cloistered richness to run away with a rodeo bull rider who is the twin of Holden Sheffield. When she and her husband die they leave behind a 3 month old baby girl that nobody in Lachlans family knew about but are determined to keep.
Holden is of the impression that the McCoughneys are ruthless snobs who cant possibly be good enough for his little niece even though her new uncle is a hottie.
When the ranch faces some danger including the kidnapping of the baby! everyone must band together and when that happens some surprising feelings surface.

    Publisher's Summary:
"I think gay guys like weddings more than anyone. And it's not because we want to destroy marriage, like some people say. It's because we really, really want to get married!"
Russel Middlebrook is gettin' hitched! The wedding is taking place in a remote lodge on an island in Puget Sound. Russel and his husband-to-be have invited all their close friends to spend the whole weekend together beforehand. And for the first time in his life, Russel is determined to not be neurotic, and not over-think things.
But that's before things start going wrong. Who expected a dead killer whale to wash up on the beach below the inn? And what's this about a windstorm approaching? Then there's the problem of Russel's anxious fiancé, who is increasingly convinced the whole thing is going to be a disaster.
Meanwhile, the wedding is taking place near the ruins of a small town, Amazing, where, a hundred years earlier, the people supposedly all disappeared overnight. Why does it feel like the secret at the end of the road to Amazing has something to do with Russel's own future? Can Russel's friends Min, Gunnar, Vernie, and Otto somehow help him make it all make sense?
The Road to Amazing, the final book in the Russel Middlebrook Futon Years trilogy, is a story about endings and beginnings, and also about growing up and growing older. But mostly it's a story about love and friendship - about how it's not the destination that makes a life amazing, but the people you meet along the way.

So happy my favorite characters are back!
    Any additional comments?
I basically binge listened to first The Thing I Didnt Know I Didnt Know then Barefoot in the City of Broken Dreams. While I liked the first, I didnt particularly connect with the second, so I started The Road to Amazing with a bit of trepidation worried I might not like it.
I neednt have worried. Hartinger brings back all the characters Ive loved and sets a really sweet tone amidst the chaos of a wedding weekend where so much goes wrong. Dead Orca on the beach below your wedding venue? Check. Huge storms knocking out power? Check. Wedding guests not being able to get to the island the wedding is happening on? Check.
However, through it all Russel keeps his cool (with a lot of help from his friends) and calms nervous groom Kevin (with a lot of help from their friends).
For me, its truly the supporting cast that makes this series fun, but what makes it really enjoyable is narrator Josh Hurley. Ill say it again, Josh Hurley really does an excellent job with the different character voices. I also love how he portrays the myriad of expressed character emotions.
And can I just give a shout out to my boy Gunnar? You may not be easily understood, but you are definitely one of my favorite characters! Love you, boo!
Ive enjoyed my time with Russel, Kevin and the gang. My wish for the future? I hope, if there are more installments, that Hartinger will open up the points of view to include Kevin and Minh, Gunnar and/or Otto.
The best series I have read in two years!
This was for me a sad googbye. After six books if the most adorable and interesting characters it was really hard for me to say goodbye.

The perfect combination of suspense and romance. I loved it!
I like mysteries and thrillers with a romantic angle and this satisfies perfectly. I'm definitely waiting for the next one!
    Worth the read
A bit predictable but good action and worth the read. I would recommend this to someone who loves an action filled romance even if you know what will likely happen. :-)
    caution
The reader is VERY slow throughout the book, even during action and emergency situations, she is painfully slow. It made it hard to fully enjoy the story. At times it was hard to tell the two main characters apart. This definately would have been a better experience with a different reader, but the story was good regardless.
    Great story
Loved these characters. Extreme conditions throw these characters together, and as events unfold love grows. Read this book awhile ago. Remembered liking it, so got the audio version. Really enjoyed that the narrator was British and had all the pronunciations and inflections that as an American I just couldn't great my brain to do while reading.
    5 stars all around
I read ebook years ago & rated it 5 stars back then. Add 0.5 stars for the audio book's narration for a total of 5.5 stars total. I've re-read it before but decided to try the audio book this time around. I think I enjoyed it more with the excellent narration. Hearing it read with an English accent really adds to the book. I'm not knowledgable enough to know if it is accurate for the area.

Ten years and many boyfriends later, Cassidy Winters finally returns to the ancestral home of his late grandmother, Sadie Hart, despite the best efforts of his father to prevent it. Cassidy's plans of a quiet, seaside ceremony to wish a final farewell to Sadie quickly unravel. The dominos topple one by one and news of his arrival spreads faster than Cassidy's legs, bringing his boyhood friend and first love, Nate Sommers, to his doorstep. As if the island wasn't getting crowded enough for Cassidy's good taste and bad decisions, best friends Ollie and Spencer arrive in time to witness the uninvited return of Cassidy's most recent ex, Teddy, who's refusing to stay dumped.
Fists fly and all hell breaks loose amid mojitos and martinis while Cassidy finds himself planning a huge party to celebrate Sadie's life. Accusations are aimed as arguments and libidos boil over, but even through the chaos Cassidy knows exactly who he wants. While he's certainly willing, he isn't sure if he's ready or able for love and life at Pipers Point.

    Entertaining
    Any additional comments?
Cassidy Winters has spent the last (almost) decade fighting with his father first to return his grandmother, Sadie Hart, to her home at Piper's Point, and, later, after her death, fighting in court to prove Sadie's will valid, which left Piper's Point to Cassidy so he could bring her ashes home. It has been ten years since Cassidy has returned to the island where he spent his summers with Sadie and he's filled with fear that people will blame him for not being able to win against his father when he wanted to bring Sadie home.
Filled with humor and a surprising amount of UST, this also had a lot of emotional depth, particularly with Cassidy dealing with his guilt and grief.
I am a fan of Michael Lesley's. I love his performances - because let's be clear, Michael doesn't really narrate a story, he PERFORMS it. In glorious 3-D Technicolor. Sometimes it can be over the top, even sometimes a bit too melodramatic, and there were some emotional nuances to the story I would have preferred a quieter tone for, but Michael doesn't really do "quiet". He does however do wildly entertaining.
If you're looking for a funny, sexy, surprisingly emotional, sweet romance with lots of UST - pick this one up. Listening to this was fun and entertaining and fans of Lesley's performances will be right at home.
    Great story
Loved the story and can even see a movie being made out of it.
Michael Lesley is supper at the narration
    Fun, Sweet, Emotional and Hilarious
A fun and sweet trip down memory lane, with both hilarious and emotional moments.
But... the present is even more entertaining.
The book starts with Cassidy comes back to his late-grandmother house on Hart's island where he used to spend every summer there. In the beginning, the book switches back and forth between past and present which you will slow learn more about each character. There are some teary moments from both sweet and sad memory, but nothing depressing. There are also many dramas both serious and not-serious one. We wouldn't be left sad and brooding for long though. The book is full of funny moments that will make us laugh and smile throughout the book.

Mabe Crassen wants to get her hands on that ranch, so she sets her older son to court Trix, and her younger son, Jeremy, to distract Chris and lure him astray.
Jeremy Crassen thinks his mother's scheme is crazy. But he wants desperately to go off to college, which Mabe will agree to - if he seduces Chris. How will shy, virginal, secretly gay Jeremy attract Chris, who seems determined to do the right thing and marry Trix? Jeremy can't compete with a rich female widow. Or can he?

What would you do for your mother?
Jeremy and Eric's mom must have lost her mind. She is insisting that Eric quit drinking, smoking and partying and woo Trixie a grieving widow. She also Wants Jeremy to make it easier by stealing Chris, Trixie's best friend and current boyfriend because she thinks he may be gay. Already sounds good doesn;t it... but there are a few secrets to uncover and some near deadly action to toss in to make this an even more intriguing story.
The narration is good. Rusty Topsfield has a calm clear voice and makes the story come to life. He even manages to make Trixie's part cute. And Yes I listened to it all in one day!
If you are looking for a fun romance with some humor, drama, twists and turns, plus a bit of action and drama, and a touch of hot man-sex this is for you. Toss in horses, and an adorable le 4-year-old and it's awesome! I highly recommend it.
^I received a copy for an honest review*
    Fun, light, full of accents
Jeremys mother Mabe wants Jeremy and his brother Eric to disrupt the romance between Chris and Trix so that Eric can win the hand of Trix and inherit the ranch her late husband left her.
Jeremy is to seduce the obviously gay Chris even though Jeremy himself is not exactly out.
In the end things end up quite differently than anyone planned and through many twists and turns everyone ends up exactly where they need to be with a delightful HEA.
    **
Eli Easton is a terrific writer. She always makes me laugh (and sometimes cry!) with her moving characters. Jeremy is far more than he seems on the surface and though I really, really didnt want to like anyone in the Crassen family, I ended up loving them all perhaps the loser Eric the best!
I didnt ever get quite a good handle on Chris, however. He had some bad experiences in college that made him look upon all gay relationships in a bad light and is now determined to settle in to a sexless if not loveless marriage all before hes even 30!
Trix turns out to be a dark horse in this story. She ends up showing a lot more depth than I originally thought she was going to have and I really ended up rooting for her part of the story more than even Chris and Jeremy!
There were some parts of this story, however, that just didnt sit well with me. I wanted to see more of Jeremy and Chris together on page than we did and maybe a bit fewer POV shifts. Though I enjoyed Trix and Erics story as well as Billy and Mabe, I really wanted to understand Chris more and follow him with Jeremy after the big drama.
Janie didnt ring true to me as four year old, Mabe felt far older than her forty-two years and Chris also seemed far more jaded than his years would account for.

    Story Review:
Round and Round continued the trend of this series. This was another cute but fast romance interspersed with a bit of mystery and characters who needed healing and growth. The author kept the story moving by keeping me wondering about the identity and motivation of the bad guy. It was this mystery and the bit of character growth that kept me interested because the romance was pretty much established right off the bat and was mostly solid throughout the entire story. I was glad Kevin found his MacDreamy Hotness and that he and Angus worked so well together, yet they were still not perfect.
I liked this series and this story was no exception. Andrew Grey is one of my go to authors when I want a satisfying read without too much emotional strain. I thought this story wrapped up the foursome nicely and I really hope officer grumpy gets his own story because he intrigued me and I want to know more of his history.
    Narration Review:
Overall, I thought this narration was very good. It hit the high points of the emotions and the story. The narrator really brought the characters to life. I took of stars because the story specifically said the main character did not have an accent except in extreme cases and specifically called out the instances when the accent was audible.

    Really Good Series
This was a really good series. At first I was disappointed when I realized the third book had nothing to do with Zach and Ryan, but really got into the drama of Joey's (Little Ducks) horrible situation and was extremely relieved with the ending.
    Awesome story
I like that I got to listen to more than one part of the story and how the three story mix very well together, super love stories of friends and ex-lovers. A must read and listen too!!
    Good Story
Would you consider the audio edition of More than Friends Collection to be better than the print version?
I didn't read the print version, but I enjoyed listening to the story. I felt like the story was a little over the top, but good overall.
Such a fantastic start to a series.
I happened to come across book 7 in this series first and I was immediately hooked. I had to go back and start where it all began.
From what the author has said, these are her first books but you can't hardly tell. Book 1 was slightly different than the other 2 and not quite as deep but that's only being nit picky because it was great and 5 star for me.
The deep, emotional and angsty trials that a man must face when being gay out in the world... Aria Grace really does these characters justice. I felt their pain and the new, exciting love as they build relationships. Let's not even talk about how incredibly hot and steamy they are, because Aria can write that scene and make anyone's temperature rise.
The first narrator, Douglas Dale, I wasn't crazy about. I felt like he was reading a book. Not reading the story of his life. With Michael Ferriola, it was the opposite. I really felt like it was his story that he was telling.
I seriously can't wait to continue on with this series, I am binge listening to all of them. I was able to purchase on Amazon for cheap and add audible narration for cheaper than what the books were on Audible directly. Check that method before purchasing through Audible but absolutely purchase them. They are worth it.
    Well Done!
The narrator for this story was wonderful! His voice was so easy to listen to! This is my first experience with an Aria Grace book and definitely won't be the last!

Workaholic Nate Erickson is a successful real estate developer who thrives on long hours and stress. When a Los Angeles project prompts him to relocate to Santa Monica, he welcomes the change of scenery. Nate has always considered romantic entanglements trouble, but his sexy next-door neighbor isn't easy to ignore. Which makes no sense, because Nate is straight...or so he's always thought.
Alex Reyes is a retired professional soccer player turned West Hollywood business owner with an insatiable lust for life. He loves his family, friends, and work. But there's one life challenge left to accomplish: coming out publicly. Respect for traditional Latino values has kept him in the closet, but Alex begins to think he and his new neighbor might help one another combat their fears. As Alex and Nate forge a strong friendship, they soon realize facing their personal demons will take more courage than either man bargained for. The reward is immeasurable...if the timing is right.

    True love brings ultimate healing
The author's story is powerful and believeable. The characters likeable, and the Californian setting was dreamy. The performance by the reader was simply amazing.

this book was pretty good, I really don't have anything good or bad to say about it so if you're looking for a neutral book this is it.
    Outstanding Performance
This was definitely my favorite out of this series. The distinction between Alex and Nate's voices was clear. Unlike with the first story, I was never confused about who was speaking. I enjoyed both of their personal stories.
