Unnecessary cliff hanger.

An intriguing part of "The Haunting of Bechdel Mansion The plot still has promise of a good story. Fewer than 100 pages to this book, the first several pages being repeats of the info in Book 0, left me severely disgruntled, though. Since I got it "on sale" for free from Amazon, I can't really complain about it being overpriced. I don't, however, like being left hanging over a cliff in cases like this. It's a bad marketing plow which turns me off to getting more installments in the future.

Another great one

I loved the first book, and this one kept me on the edge just as the first. Someone still needs to do some editing, but the story is so riveting, I can look past that. So, when's the final coming out??? I didn't see where it said, just "coming soon."

Don't bother

This book merely continues the unfinished story begun in Book 0. The story is promising but I believe the free downloads of Book 0 & 1 were supposed to get you hooked so you will pay for Book 2. It won't work. At this point I really don't care. I can finish the story in my own imagination. Beside, my imagination has better grammar and word usage.

~~Bumping and Thumping Continue~~

The thumping and the bumping continue in Book 1 of the series. Curtis and Mary Malone are attempting to remain in the Haunted Bechdel Mansion. The Redwood Massacre occurred at this mansion in 1975 and this story takes place starting in September 2016.

As explained earlier, Mary has what her Mom called a 'gift of foresight'. As one might imagine, with strong spirits meandering throughout the mansion, Mary begins to doubt her 'gifts'. She knows a couple of things for certain and one is that the spirits are angered. Also, the force of negativity is overwhelming the atmosphere. Curtis, her husband, continues to have doubts until he becomes a 'victim' to one of the scenes of mayhem.

I liked this one better than the first and this undoubtedly is due to the further development of the main characters. The reader also gets to know Pastor Phil in more detail and a paranormal investigator is called in to help the couple. One of the characters has an untimely death near the end and the reader is left to wonder if it is of natural causes or murder. Ah, nothing like another mystery tossed into the mix of paranormal events.

Looking forward to the next installment and most highly recommend this one.

Realistic nightmare

What was one of the most memorable moments of Rape Van?

Andy and Bridget have learned the secret to a successful relationship, and that is to support each others hobbies. The couple have been supporting each others sadistic pastimes for years and it looks like its time to pay only the police are nowhere in sight.

This is another great slasher horror from Miller. The concept is simple and brilliant but the characters are what really makes the book. Seeing life from a serial killers point of view is always an interesting perspective but couple that with a little devious double-crossing and add a really messed up child and you have a recipe for entertainment.

Break out the popcorn but hold the sauce, this book contains Millers fabulous gore-factor.

I adore Tim Miller's disturbing, twisted, and horrific writing style. His stories amaze me every time I listen to or read one, because I know he puts all he has into each one. Rape Van has it all! Extremely Horrific scenes that left my mouth agape, rewinding it just to be sure I heard correctly. Yep, I sure did.

It absolutely blows my mind what this author comes up with. Kudos to Mr. Miller for always bringing a fresh, albeit, terrifying, demented, picturesque, and graphic new story.

The narrator, Daniel Dorse, has a deep voice that just brings these characters to life. It was easy to follow the differences between the voices. I just turn the lights off, close my eyes and dive into the dark world as the story unfolds.

One of the most memorable scenes is when Maddie and Susie meet. A tender moment even for a psychopathic killer. Excellence!!

Cold, wind, and the scent of blood.

As a lover of horror, I really enjoyed "I AM the Wendigo".

The atmosphere is great, the voice of the narrator fits perfectly, and his acting is absoluletly on spot. The sound effects are a little too loud a few times, wich does not help the understanding, but works well overall, and helps the immersion. I could feel the cold winter wind on my skin.

The story is intriguing. As the title tells, the story is narrated by the monster, and as it is expected from a dark being with a hunger of human flesh, he is merciless, sadistic, and cold. The tension is built up well, and the killings are brutal enough to satisfy the bloodlusty little wendigo in our hearts.

If you like horror, creatures, and chilling atmosphere, give it a try. I recommend listening it sitting next to a window at night.

Bone Chilling

A scary story about a monster who stumbles on a scene more horrifying than him, I Am the Wendigo is expertly performed and wonderfully written.

Delectable morsel of horrific fun

This is a bite-sized morsel of horror with a nice pinch of something akin to justice as a side dish. Quinn's writing is eerily evocative and effective and Collins lends just the right air of gleeful, lurking menace to deliver the goods. A rare story that is well-done. Bon appetit!

This was a very strong piece of audio horror.

I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys hearing their scares as opposed to reading them.

The story itself is well-written and compelling. The narrative offers a unique perspective into the mind and pattern of a monster. Its driven more by atmosphere than by plot, which perfectly reflects the animalistic nature of the creature being depicted. The description of whats happening in the moment serves to bring the listener into a vivid and chilling environment.

What I liked best about the piece was how the writing style serves to leave a strong impression of the Wendigo without going into too much detail. A lot of the legends from which Wendigos originate are vague in physical details with a heavier focus in hunting patterns, as was the case here. Quinn has found an excellent balance between imagery and action that honors the roots of these tales.

The one aspect that I found to be lacking was the sound mixing for the clip. The narration itself was not bad, though it was perhaps a bit overstated at times. If you, like me, prefer the more subtle horror then you may find that the reading by Loren Collins a tad dramatic. Although this was something that bothered me initially, I found that a few minutes in it actually added a level of appreciation, as it reminded me of the older horror radio segments. What I did take lasting issue with was actually the sound effects in the background. While the intention was obviously to draw attention to the strong atmosphere presented in the text, I felt like they were a bit too loud and a bit too inconsistent, which actually drew my attention away from the story at a few key points.

Aside from my nitpicking at the sound mixing however, this was something that I enjoyed immensely.

Can't be done. The story has too many facets to chop down into three words. that is a completely preposterous question.

As always, Harry's tale keep you completely enthralled. i cannot wait for Alien Stars: A Harry Stubbs Adventure to come out.

What about Gethyn Edwardss performance did you like?

Normally i have an issue with an audiobook switching narration; but this guy is pretty close to the original narrator. HOWEVER, i do not like that they changed Arthur's voice, by changing the voice you changed his whole persona!!! with that said, the voice did for Mr. Yang was fantastic.

Bubba's Wrestlemaina

If you could sum up Night at the Museum in three words, what would they be?

Bubba Wrestlemaina. He fights the whole card. The first battle is against a human drug dealer and the main event is against someone I can't spoil. Needless to say Hartness is one of the best action scene writers against the business and Bubba has a series of fights in this one that take place around the world with each fight seeing the stakes raised until he gets to the ultimate battle. I actually thought he was going to die at the end and maybe he does you have to read it to find out.

What did you like best about this story?

This story is the payoff for Father Joe fans. Since 2011 we've been teased with how there more to him regarding his supernatural or magical powers. In this one we finally get answers.

What about John Solos performance did you like?

He IS Bubba, Joe, Skeeter, Amy etc. The narrator of the first season did an amazing job but Solo made these characters his.

If you could rename Night at the Museum, what would you call it?

Bubba's Wrestlemaina.

Unlike some of Harness other Bubba novels this one is not a standalone but the payoff story that had years of buildup to it. This one can be read as a stand alone I'm sure but you would be cheating yourself. For maximum impact please read the other stories first.

A great start to season 3

What made the experience of listening to Moon over Bourbon Street the most enjoyable?

The authors typical ability to introduce characters that only appear once but that have a full blown character arc where you emotional invested in everyone. Also the humor, action, suspense is top notch. The other thing I liked is that this is a mystery which new to the series. Normally we know who done it as Bubba gets briefed on that by his people. This story they are on vacation and have to figure that out.

What other book might you compare Moon over Bourbon Street to and why?

The other two seasons of Bubba the monster hunter.

What about John Solos performance did you like?

The fact that he never misses on his delivery be it the humor or the action scenes.

If you could rename Moon over Bourbon Street, what would you call it?

Redneck Vacation. I honestly don't know how to ever answer this question.

I truly enjoyed this story. This one kept my interest throughout. It has its creepy moment's! Love a good ghost storyline! More please!!

Time Winter (what a great name!), is fabulous! He brings the characters to life! This is a must in my opinion to really enjoy a story!

OH MY GOD THAT WAS SO GOOD

I enjoyed this so much I became addicted to listening. every spare moment I would sneak out to listen to it. it was beautifully spiritual and had lots of surprises. scared me a couple of times too which isn't easy. I read a lot of horror stories / ghost stories.

I you want to be entertained fully - listen to this book.
