Publisher's Summary:
Tyler Ballard was in prison when his son created a dreamworld called Foreverland, a place so boundless and spellbinding that no one ever wanted to leave. Or did. Now his son is dead, his wife is comatose, and Tyler is still imprisoned.
But he planned it that way.
The final piece of his vision falls into place when Alessandra Diosa investigates the crimes of Foreverland. Tyler will use her to create a new dimension of reality beyond anything his son ever imagined; a Foreverland for the entire world.
Danny, living outside of Spain since escaping the very first Foreverland, begins receiving mysterious clues that lead him to Cyn. They are both Foreverland survivors, but they have more in common than survival. They become pieces of another grand plan, one designed to stop Tyler Ballard. No one knows who is sending the clues, but some suspect Reed, another Foreverland survivor. Reed, however, is dead.
Everyone will make one last trip back to Foreverland to find out who sent them. And why.

I also just loved the ending
A thrilling end to this trilogy. Everything from the first two books unites together in "Ashes" and it's a chilling, exciting ride. Never knowing what is reality or the dreamworld kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I also just loved the ending! Now I have the short prequel to read next, then I'm off to explore Bertauski's other worlds (I mean books) but I'm pretty sure I know which series I'll read next. Tony is a new favourite author! Yeah!
Home Run!
After reading Annihilation of Foreverland and Foreverland is Dead, I wanted the last book right then, but also didn't want the story to end. So when I learned that Tony Bertauski had written and released Ashes of Foreverland, I bought it immediately. And then, like with all good things, I waited a full month before I opened it. That was Tuesday, I didn't put it down until I finished it early Wednesday morning. That is how good it is.
The story itself is a roller coaster of mysterious circumstance and intrigue. It's rare for a book to keep me guessing until the end, but the layers the author built were too many for me to unravel. Even when I thought I had it figured out, BAM! He'd land another surprise hit. When they finally started to unfold, it was shocking but felt so very right.
Ashes certainly doesn't disappoint as the end of a series go. In fact, reading Ashes of Foreverland has made me want to read the entire series again. It was definitely a home run!
Loved it!
I expected that this final book in the series would tie up some of the loose ends left from the first two books. Tony did that, plus much more. Iâm happy to admit that I wasn't a hundred percent sure of what was real in the story until halfway through the book. Even then, I guessed wrong about some of it. This is such a wonderfully devious and twisted plot, even more so than the other Foreverland stories. The ending is not at all what I expected, but itâs a satisfying conclusion to a great series.
I was a bit surprised to realize that this series took place in the same universe as Halfskin. That made a lot of sense, so now I have to wonder if I missed previous hints in the first books. Devious writer, I tell you. If you havenât read Halfskin yet, you should.
While Iâm sorry to see this series end, I very much enjoyed the way it concluded with this book.
