Cute story, made the reading exercise more fun! I am always looking for easy readers to practice my language skills, and this one was more fun than most.

An excellent supplement for learning Russian

An excellent supplement for learning Russian, especially after you have mastered the most basic elements of the language. The only complaint I have is that stress is not marked in this book, making it necessary to look up new words to find where they are stressed. Since Russian stress is highly variable even within declensions and conjugations, this is a problem for learners who want to pronounce the words correctly. Nevertheless, the text is fun, the story entertaining and highly readable. A great learning tool.

It's a funny short novel, and by reading it, a language learner can significantly expand her vocabulary. A great read for those who already know some Russian and want to learn more and have fun at the same time. Each chapter is supplemented with a vocabulary list and a few exercises. In addition, there is a Russian-English dictionary in the end.
