A Must read for all managers of technology companies!!

As someone that honestly has dealt with this, tech managers can be the worst. I have quite a few prior managers that really should read this book. Mr. No Comprendo really hit home. Tech managers that have no idea what the technology is or what each person does are so difficult to work under and for. Also, the review and reward system is perfect as I have worked under both types of bosses. One that gave me more incentives (higher raise) for working harder and ones that have given the same amount to me as the guy who took three hour lunches and never showed up on time. I definitely did not feel motivated to show up to work on time or even come back from lunch after one hour once the raises were handed out.

I hope that as this gets out to business professionals, more and more companies require their newly promoted or hired managers to read this book. For any manager trying to learn the best way to be a manager, do yourself a favor and read this book!!

Everyone in the business world should read regardless of your title or position!

Highly recommend this book! It is a short easy read full of insight and strategy. Coming form the corporate world this all makes sense in that platform. What I was not expecting is how insightful it was to me as a small business owner. It has made me see things with a different perspective. It has opened my eyes to many pitfalls that I would of probably fallen into if it wan't for this book. I enjoyed all the pshycology behind every example and the war analogy. It sure feels like a battlefield at times and in all reality we are fighting for our lives as our jobs/careers are our livelyhood. This is a book that everyone in the business world should own regardless of your title or position. I am purchasing it for my friends as I know it will help them greatly.

Concise, valuable info for today's professional

I wasn't sure what to expect when I sat down to read this book. I've read bits of Sun Tzu's ancient classic "The Art of War" and I've also read "The Art of War for Women" by Chin-Ning Chu. They were very different. So I was pleasantly surprised to discover how Dan Green's book was short and easy to read, yet filled with valuable information applicable immediately in the business world. Every chapter starts with a quote from Sun Tzu, and then the author adds a relatable modern business scenario. This is followed with the lesson to be learned, and the logic behind WHY you should apply it. Simple and effective. Green has a talent for explaining how Sun Tzu's ancient concepts will benefit any modern professional- and it's done in a conversational, easy to read tone.

This book is great! Itâs short and sweet. For someone as famous as Jack Ma, youâd be surprised how hard it is to find more than the most basic details about his life. More than the basics are not readily available on the internet, so if you really want to learn about this guy, you actually have to do some digging. Unless you get this book. It presents info about Jack Ma (the founder of Ali Baba, for those who donât know) in a concise and readable manner. Itâs an affordable ebook and well worth the $3 (or whatever Amazon is currently selling it for).
