Superbly read chilling tale

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Again we are treated to gem of a story by Dan Thompson.

Hatred. Hidden which is, but taken from an unusual angle that will have you on the edge of your seat in this Psychological Short Story.

Sean Tivenan i a superb narrator and is equally able to portray the male and female characters skillfully and with pure conviction. This is the first time I have come across Sean but will be defiantly be listening to other books that he has narrated.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I like the way the main character Mark, is shown as a multifaceted man, who has a deep rooted fear and hatred, but who is able to appears to be the perfect husband and lover.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The scene i enjoyed the most was when Mark was in the restaurant. Dan slowly builds the tension, until i could feel the goose bumps prickle on my skin. Chilling stuff!!!

Any additional comments?

A really enjoyable listen of first class quality. If you like Psychological Short Stories, you will not be disappointed.

Needs some work

Well...this was not as good as I was expecting. The writing seemed rushed and it needed some editing (i.e. missing words, incorrect character details). At times it was difficult to follow who was doing what to whom. I had such high hopes for this but as is not worth the money.

Mark was Jeff's first little boyfriend at the age of 16, always together, always making love. Jeff had told Mark that he wanted them to run away together, to always be together, but Mark pushed him away back then telling Jeff he wasn't ready, he still liked girls. This broke Jeff's heart. They hadn't seen each other over the years and they were both pushing 30.

Mark was getting married to Jeff's sister...That's what brought him home. Mark asked Jeff for a favor, to be his best man since the one he had chosen had come down with the flu. It was hard enough for Jeff to be there, but to be asked to be his best man just broke his heart all over again. In the course of getting ready, Jeff had walked past the bedroom that Mark was in (his sister's room) and Mark told him to come it, asking him about a tie. When they started talking, Mark asked Jeff if he was doing the right thing, that he had someone else on his mind. When Jeff had asked, Mark confessed it was him. That's all it took!!! A fun half hour

What made the experience of listening to The Carmine Dancer the most enjoyable?

I liked the way the story was written in the style of 1920's style noir detective movie, and the narrator really got that feeling across.

Nathan and Buck are playing with fire...After their sexual encounter with both of them naked and cum everywhere, Japheth catches them with their pants down. Furious, Japheth grabs Nathan to take him back to the camp with Buck and him arguing all the way back. All trying to convince him that they had not broken the rules of "No Touching". With the rage he was seeing and the possession Japheth was showing over him Nathan decides No one was going to tell him what to do. I absolutely adore this book!!! I adore both the heroes...one is so classy, enigmatic, sexy so much like Mr Darcy...Alex is simply my very favourite character..he is a bit spoilt 18 yr old who is entitled and so very innocent...I often found myself chuckling when I was reading "Interview"....Another great imagination and style from K. Matthew

Grabbed my attention

I was a little off-put by the 'emo' label. Aside from that, this caught my attention and had me interested. Great build up for a real story, though you don't actually -get- that story. Wonderful teaser.

This one was interesting

I am looking forward to reading more about Mr. Dacey and Alex. I am hoping that it will be tastefully done and handled well.

It just ends. He gets captured by terrorists and then is rescued by werewolves and that's it. He just goes back to active duty. There is no story. No plot. No ending. I'm not giving anything away because there is nothing to give away. How can they put out a book with not plot, just magic?
