A true history lesson of Future Events!
A consist picture of the end of days, foretold in the Bible and even
the Korrand. Give in simple language which everyone can understand.
After thousands of hours of prayer and study, Perry Stone has given
    us "End Times..101"
Paul wrote I & Ii thessolions to the early church so they wouldn't worry
about believers that had died before. Christ returned. Perry Stone has
given us a charge... "Accept Jesus as Savoir" or face these dyer consequences.
The choice is up to you! The time is short! Jesus is coming soon!!
    It's like reading tomorrows newspapers!:0)
This is a book for those that are truly aware of world events and looking for insight of likely unfolding scenarios. The plot is plausible and may be frightening for some who are not prepared for it. I highly recommend this book.
End time prophesy and the Middle East
What made the experience of listening to Unleashing the Beast the most enjoyable?
Predicting the end time by deciphering the Bible prophesy
What other book might you compare Unleashing the Beast to and why?
I read several books about the end time prophesy, but this book clearly tells the power of Islam at the end time.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
    The revelation of Antichrist
    Any additional comments?
Many books were written about the end time prophesy and who is Antichrist. All the prophesies do not come true up until now. I wonder if Perry Stone's prophesy concerning Islamic power will come ture.
    A Must Read
This book is a very enlightening must read book! Highly recommend !!!!!
I could listen to this book over and over and still learn something new every time.
This book may be somewhat upsetting
I gave this book 5 stars because it proves itself while demanding you stay engaged. I do not recommend casual listening as you may find yourself listening over and over and over again.
Depending on your religion or what you may have been previously taught, this book can be somewhat upsetting. While trying to disprove you may, in the end, become a believer of what it says. I'll leave it at that.

A wonderful little gem of a book by Julia Cameron
I love this little book. Every morning I read several daily inspiring words for the day in different books. I found this book by accident at Barnes and Noble, started reading it and loved it.
What I do, is just ask, and flip open to a page that I should read for today! It works, always a timely message....like it is written just for me. Julia said that this book was given to her through higher inspiration....I believe it!
A perfect little book for gifts too. Just gave one to my art teacher for Christmas and she loved it!
    Bought for a friend
I have owned this book for several years and go back to it from time to time. Love it. Bought for a friend who is having a spiritual journey.
    Three Stars
I liked Blessings ok. It wasn't what I thought it was, but it was still well worth reading.
    Leaves you feeling Good!
This is just a lovely book! I highly recommend it. I read a new blessing every day and then think about it through out the day.

  • The Gods Were Astronauts Audiobook by Erich von Daniken

    Title: The Gods Were Astronauts
Subtitle: Evidence of the True Identities of the Old 'Gods'
    Author: Erich von Daniken
    Narrator: Kevin Foley
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 7 hrs and 45 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 04-26-11
    Publisher: Tantor Audio
Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 113 votes
Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Religious Thought
    Publisher's Summary:
Erich von Daniken has exhaustively researched and analyzed the great world religions, their myths and belief structures, in an effort to find an answer to a question that has fascinated humans for millennia: who, or what, were the Gods described in ancient stories? His extraordinary conclusion? The Gods were not metaphysical beings born of humanity's overactive imagination, but extraterrestrials who left traces of their presence everywhere on Earth. The book includes:
    Members Reviews:
Material is excellent; narrator is awful!
While Erich von Daniken's material is EXCELLENT and definitely worthy of 5 stars, the narrator was so bad (IMO) that I am having a hard time finishing this one. It may just be a personal idiosyncrasy, but I think this narrator does a great job of making the material seem BORING, with his antiquated non-expressive reading and phony-sounding radio-announcer voice... makes my ears gloss over after just a few minutes and leaves my mind wandering. It reminds of the most boring of educational films I saw in school as a kid... like the ones from the 1950s... awful!
I am going to buy the Kindle version (I hope there is a Kindle version!) of this book and read it myself, as I know the content is fascinating - I just can't stomach the narration. Wish I could give this book the 5 stars that the book deserves, but with this narrator, I just can't.
The other Erich von Danikon audio-book (Twilight of the Gods) that I purchased at the same time as this one is EXCELLENT (as is the narrator) and I do plan on purchasing at least one more (probably more) of this author's audio-books - but will definitely listen to the samples first to make sure the narrator is good!
    Real History
Would you consider the audio edition of The Gods Were Astronauts to be better than the print version?
I haven't read the print version but the audio version was excellent.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
The most compelling aspect of this book is the basic questioning of the history we have all been taught. Upon closer scrutiny we realise that our version of history is nothing more than a collection of nonsense from arrogant egotistical megalomaniacs.
Which character as performed by Kevin Foley was your favorite?
There were no characters as this is a non-fictional work. The narrator simply read Erich's words.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No particular moment as the entire book was one astounding revelation after another.
    Any additional comments?
It is such a pity that the world has been stuck an induced coma of religious dogma and myopia, for the better part of two thousand years. We have limited our own progress as a species - we
    same old same old
Its the same as all of Eric van Daniken books. He's always bringing up tons of examples and evidence that backs up any of his claims. But the majority of the brainwashed population cannot learn anything else new or change their beliefs and anything including their views on their own religions or any other religions of the world. And the scientists remain afraid of properly documenting and analyzing the true facts before them. Because they may get ridiculed or laughed at for even thinking such different thoughts.

    Members Reviews:
The road less traveled but the real one
I read the Road Less Traveled many years ago. It was a very immature time of life and I really had not awakened into much "consciousness," as Dr. Peck defines in this lecture. I enjoyed this lecture so much & plan to listen to more of them. I'm not reviewing his performance as it was obviously recorded from a live presentation from which no editing was done.
The content is compelling, as it gives proofs of the human condition, the path to wholeness(aka holiness), and also our resistance to it. I love that Peck defines his terms so well that we have a visual sense of what he's describing, so as he progresses in the lecture, we can also keep up with him, not ever getting stuck on a term or wondering what he's trying to say.
    Well done Scotty, well done.

This was given to me as a gift so I purchased one to give as a gift. The writings are amazing, I'd give it 5 stars. I have read it several times already
Beautiful Landmark text of Profound Wisdom of The Ages!
It has helped to replace the many dysfunctional premises my sociopathic parents modeled! This is a book with a popularity which continues to grow at phenomenal rates! I had to buy this version since I'd lost my original classic one. There certainly NEED to be more Half Price Book Stores here in CA!!! I got spoiled by having 3-4 in Dallas alone!
This is my favorite gift for graduating seniors
This is my favorite gift for graduating seniors. My parents gave me this when I graduated from Nursing school and the poetry is very thought provoking and life changing. Kahlil Gibran is a great author and should be in every person's library...

What else can I ask? I wish there was more of the Course in Audible
    Uplifting
An uplifting and relaxing book to listen to giving a taste of the wisdom of this deep and amazing book A course in Miracles. Easy to listen to and giving a feeling of positive encouragement.

    Publisher's Summary:
Krishnamurti wrote and lectured for seven decades on the essential problems of the human condition. This conversation is no exception.
In this second dialogue with host Michael Toms, produced a year later in 1984, Krishnamurti addresses love, greed, violence, separation, time, death, conflict, and fear, discussing them all with a clarity and insight that makes the entire spiritual landscape appear newly visible and replete with possibilities. Krishnamurti also has much to say about the source of our problems, both personal and planetary, with appropriate comments on how to resolve them.
This is a priceless visit with an illuminated mind. Acknowledged as one of the greatest religious teachers of this or any other age, the late J. Krishnamurti was a visionary whose ideas are still ahead of his time.
    Members Reviews:
    Excellent
Another J Krishnamurti masterpiece, a very useful information on how to discover our inner self.
Worthwhile listening, but not the best
A bit scanty and piecemeal on the whole and not much in the way of addition to the ideas presented in his books, which are naturally much fuller in terms of explanation and logical progression. Still worth a listen though, especially for 60 pence!

Title: I Don't Believe in Atheists
    Author: Chris Hedges
    Narrator: Chris Hedges
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 4 hrs and 58 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 03-06-08
Publisher: HighBridge, a division of Recorded Books
Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 88 votes
Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Religious Thought
    Publisher's Summary:
There are two radical and dangerous sides to the debate on faith and religion in America: Christian fundamentalists, who see religious faith as their exclusive prerogative, and New Atheists, who brand all religious belief as irrational. Too often, the religious majority - those committed to tolerance and compassion as well as their faith - are caught in the middle.
Chris Hedges critiques the mindset that rages against religion and faith. He accuses the New Atheists - led by Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, and Christopher Hitchens - of promoting a belief system that is not, as they claim, based on reason and science, but on a simplified worldview of us vs. them, intolerance toward behaviors that are not understood, and the false myths of human progress and moral superiority. Ultimately, he makes way for new, moderate voices to join the debate. This is a timely, compelling work for anyone who wants to understand the true state of the battle about faith today.
    Critic Reviews:
"Chris Hedges reminds us that the point of religion is not to make us disdain those who think differently but rather to help us become decent, responsive, and moral human beings." (0, The Oprah Magazine)

  • God Is Not Great Audiobook by Christopher Hitchens

    Title: God Is Not Great
    Subtitle: The Case Against Religion
    Author: Christopher Hitchens
    Narrator: Christopher Hitchens
    Format: Abridged
Length: 4 hrs and 4 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 01-29-08
    Publisher: Orion Publishing Group Limited
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 10 votes
Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Religious Thought
    Publisher's Summary:
In the tradition of Bertrand Russell's Why I Am Not a Christian and Sam Harris's recent best-seller, The End of Faith, Christopher Hitchens makes the ultimate case against religion. With a close and erudite reading of the major religious texts, he documents the ways in which religion is a man-made wish, a cause of dangerous sexual repression, and a distortion of our origins in the cosmos.
With eloquent clarity, Hitchens frames the argument for a more secular life based on science and reason, in which the heavens are replaced by the Hubble Telescope's awesome view of the universe, and Moses and the burning bush give way to the beauty and symmetry of the double helix.
    Members Reviews:
Author mistook religious extremism for d religion
A very misleading book, as the author could not differentiate between religious extremism and the religion. Moreover, he completely ignores contributions of the religions to human civilisation.
    For lovers of literature everywhere
Christopher Hitchens's pugilistic style is unlikely to be to everyone's taste. However, the book has its own superbly unique literary quality. And thus it is very different from the works by other non-theists. You can't fail to get the sense that Hitchens deeply cares about reducing the suffering caused by nonsensical beliefs. This being said, his work, in places, is rather superficial and sometimes wholly misses the spiritual point behind certain ideas (e.g. 'There but for the grace of God go I.') Nonetheless, anyone appreciative of literature will find this a valuable contribution to the discourse surrounding religion. Last but not least, to hear this book in Hitchens's own voice really is a pure delight.
    Hitchens is great
An intelligent and thought provoking book. Well read by Hitchens himself, if a little quickly in places. Worth listening to more than once.
    A must read or listen.
Punctures the puffed up self important claims of the worlds religions, with his usual wit and erudition. Christopher Hitchens will be sadly missed.
    Essential listening (open mind required)
I really enjoyed the author narrating his own work.
Very brave to voice his opinion on such a volatile subject with so many fanatics intent on destroying all non believers. Excellent research and delivered in a style accessible to all.
Absolutely essential to all with an open mind. Shame so many are closed.....
