Fascinating Spin On Romance

A highly creative plot and characters. I enjoyed this story. The superbly engineered sentient android theme reminds me a little of the new show, Humans, which features androids with a twist. The idea of thinking feeling androids that go beyond mere machines has always intrigued me. Ms. Nightingale takes this concept and goes a step farther in Love for Sale, plus she mixes in suspense with the romance. An engrossing read.

Modern March gets her Man

Another atypical type story for me. Once I started it though, I didn't want it to end. What a premise! Linda Nightingale is brilliant. I fell in love with March and Christian as they fell in love with each other. Every character was rendered realistically. Every emotional button was pushed. You will enjoy every minute of it and March and Christian will live on in your imagination long after you turn the last page.

Love for Sale by Linda Nightingale is a very different take on finding your true love.

March is divorced. She really never loved her husband and is in search of her one true love. When she cannot find a human man to fill this need she decides to design one herself. She gets an engineered sentient android. Perfect for what she wants. She even goes all the way to London to get him.

I liked her brave spirit, and how she is willing to take her own destiny into her her own hands. She is a brave woman who is willing to try anything once.

Christian is the perfect one for March. He also has an unexpected independent streak that intrigues March. He is more than even she bargained for.

Christian is a little to perfect for me but perfect for March.

I found this love story to be eery and a tad creepy in places I liked the combination of love and action in this book. Love can come in many different guises and March is about to learn just because you buy love it does not mean you get the love you expected.

Wonderful Love Story, Great Bit of Sci-Fi

Although this novel starts out appearing to be purely a romance, it soon reveals itself to be much more.

March Morgan finds the perfect man in Special Editions android Christian whom she purchases from British company Mayfair Electronics. Though he is supposedly programmed to be exactly what she wishes, she soon discovers Christian is much more; he has developed a personality on his own, with personal opinions and wants.

Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! I love, love, love Origin, the prequel to a brand new paranormal/supernatural romance series entitled Ancient Blood by the amazingly talented Nora Ash. I've been a fan since reading her deliciously dark Demon's Mark Series four years ago, which was her first foray into the world of erotic paranormal romance, and have followed her blossoming career as Ash spread her wings and successfully tackled other subgenres. With the release of Origin, Ash has returned to her roots, and I couldn't be happier! Don't get me wrong; I love everything she writes, but no one writes dark paranormal romance like Nora Ash! Now, let me tell you why!

Ash is a gifted storyteller and skilled wordslinger who excels at creating spellbinding storylines with vividly depicted worlds, then populating them with compelling characters who literally explode from the pages and capture your imagination as well as your heart. And this book/series is no exception! Origin is a riveting, fast-paced paranormal tale filled to the brim with spine-tingling danger, chilling suspense, sinister machinations, heart-wrenching angst, explosive passion, and seductive romance. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with multiple perspectives. The dialogue is smart, well-executed, and flows effortlessly. But without a doubt, my favorite component of every Ash story is her intriguing cast of well-developed characters, always flawed yet imperfectly perfect. I was immediately fascinated by the three protagonists and what role each would play in the progression of the story. And again, Ash didn't disappoint! There's nothing better than a well-written antihero, and Ash pens some of the best I've ever read, and that's saying a lot since I'm an old codger whose favorite vampire book of all time is Bram Stoker's Dracula which I've read several times since discovering it 50 years ago. Lion shifter romance and intrigue

I love shifters and thoroughly enjoyed this story with great characters, romance and intrigue. She was abdu ted and taken a long way away in the middle of the woods. She was told she would need to have a child and then she would give it up and could return home. She would be paid. He had a secret that was finally revealed and they fell in love. They had to overcome a lot of obstacles, but finally get their HEA. I enjoy all the books from this author and can't wait for her next book. I value reviewed an advance reader copy.

She never worried about leaving her baby?

I only made it to chapter 6. When she agrees to do it with our once ever being upset at the idea of leaving a baby. Or the kind of life the child would have. She worried about money and her job. . .really? It killed any care I could have for charlotte. Also the other woman didn't ring true some one that wants and can't have kids would not be so uncaring about another woman being forced to have and give up a baby.

A Reading the Paranormal Review

Shapeshifters, man. I like their hot-blooded style! (For the record, I pretty much like all the species that populate the Eternal Mates world. From elves to demons and everything in between.)

We met Maya in the previous book and she's...not in the best place in this one. Determined to hold to the bargain her parents made, she's on her way to a new pride as a bride. Did I mention she's determined? Because she is. Her brothers can't talk her out of it and she wants one last chance to say goodbye to Talon before doing her duty.

As tends to happen, this puts her in the path of August, her special someone. Which is really bad timing in the sense that she's heading out into the wilds to be another man's ladyfriend. On the other hand, it's really GOOD timing since she hasn't actually mated the other dude yet. Sparks fly. Things happen. Regret is felt.

The regret isn't all on Maya's part, either. As the leader of his snow leopard pride, August is expected to take a snow leopard mate. Maya is clearly not a snow leopard. There doesn't look like there's a good way out for either of them at several points in their story. (As an aside, shapeshifters have some pretty outdated rules when it comes to mating and whatnot. Not all shapeshifters, I guess, but enough of them. Change is needed. *gives August a look*)

Another fast-paced, sexy romance with more than a hint of danger and plenty of smolder. I'm looking forward to Grey's book!

An exciting and wonderful find

This is a complete turn from what I usually read. It didn't cross the invisible line in my mind... fantasy versus demonic, fighting versus gore, swoon and sigh versus graphic sex. You get the idea. The story is clean yet has plenty of '...sigh'. It's an adventure for young and old, a mix of reality and fantasy that I will be enjoying again and again. I have a LOT of books. Thousands. Enough to read a different book every day for over seven years and never repeat. I've written nearly four hundred reviews, only a small portion of what I have read. When I say I am going to take the time to reread a book that means it stands out significantly. As soon as I got to the end I wanted to go back to the beginning and start all over again. This is one that feeds the senses, emotions, inner child and hopeless romantic in me. It has earned every star and then some.

A wonderful fantasy romance!

A lovely multi-layered tale that combines romance, myth and mystery in a gripping story that had me eagerly flipping pages in my Kindle. From the rich historical legends to the gorgeously-detailed settings and, especially, the enchanting characters who populate the worlds Ms. Peterson creates, this novel is beautifully beguiling.

An ancient Welsh castle, a kingdom beneath the waves, the missing heart of a dragon, Fey Folk, and a noble ghost are just a few of the fantastical people and places that populate the story. The main charactersâDr. S. E. DeSpencer (âEssieâ) and Lord Garreth ap Daffyd are a couple you canât help cheering for as they race against time to prevent a cyclic catastrophe that threatens Garrethâs world. Their romance is sweet and heartfelt. Essie is intelligent, determined and fearless, standing her ground when the need arises. Garreth is noble, protective, and decisive as a leader should be. I especially loved the ghost, Helyan, who has a supporting role in the story but deserves a complete novel of his own. Hopefully, that is coming.

As a counterbalance to the detailed history and intricate plot the author weaves into her story, there is banter and fun, too. A thread that runs from beginning to the end involves Garreth trying to decipher what the initials S. E. in Essieâs name stand for. And yes, we do find out, but youâll have to read this wonderful tale yourself for the answer.

Loved it

Lauren Smith did it once again. She never disappoints. Loved the story line and I thought the narrator did a very good job.

Feels more like a historical romance

This tells the story of 32-yr-old, art gallery worker, Rebecca Clark, and 200-yr old Devin Blake, the 5th Earl of Richmond. Rebecca was a bit of an unconventional-looking heroine with her brown eyes and "spectacles," which was great. She was also smart and used her smarts, so her agreeing to trust Devin so quickly was a downer.

Devin met Rebecca when he was a part of a classical art exhibit that is being shown in 2018 America, in Mistlethwait, near Boston.

Devin was punished by the goddess Aphrodite as punishment 200 yrs ago. For his freedom permanently, Devin was put to a test by Aphrodite, a test that only involved Rebecca.

Because of Devin being 200 yrs old and Rebecca sounding British as well, the romance feels a lot more like a historical romance than a contemporary one when technology is ignored. There was a small bit of humor. Rebecca didn't mince word, and Devin had a big learning curve living in a new time.

There was 1 sex scene after more than 2 hrs into the book. It used no explicit sex language or terms for body parts and was relatively brief with little detail. Though the story occurs in the U.S., the narrator had an accent and cadence that worked for the story ok. But she didn't sound quite American enough to consistently and convincingly provide the needed contrast the story tried to evoke.

There was a loose end regarding the gallery's missing statue which Rebecca worried about and then didn't. And Devin spoke of getting a job. We're never told what. I hate loose ends in stories.

There are to many but a funny one is when Freya is trying to prevent everyone from finding out that Sir Arnon de Bar is turning into a frog because of a curse and he gets away from her and his twin and jumps in the well, stands up in the water holding a women shoe and ask" is anyone missing this" lol , loved it

A fun tale

A whimsical tale based on the frog prince. A tale of strong women and men with lots of character. It was funny and enchanting. Lots of froggy kissing going on (tongue in cheek humor). I received a complimentary audio which I immensely enjoyed listening to and I am voluntarily reviewing.
