My Rating.....5 Stars!! to "Betraying The Pack" Pack Two by author Eve Langlais...

This is book two in this series of four. Book one, "Defying Pack Law" is what reeled me in and "Betraying The Pack" was just as sexy, sinful, and filled with suspense and evil.

This story features Bailey and the four sexy wolf shifters that desire her. Yes, that's right! I said four: Gavin, Wyatt, Parker and Jaxon. These four men were amazing and loving and each had their own distinct personality.

Bailey wakes up one day to realize that she has been kidnapped. Unfortunately, she can't remember much more than that. Like who kidnapped her and why. Thankfully, Bailey manages to escape. She finds herself running naked through the dark, unfamiliar woods while being chased, only to run into Gavin who is naked as well!

Gavin was relieved to find Bailey. He met her previously in a bar and instantly felt a strong connection to her. Once he realized she had been kidnapped, he and his pack mates set out to find and rescue her. Saying Bailey is frightened and freaked out is an understatement; she has no idea why she was abducted or by whom. Although they don't know why Bailey was kidnapped and held, Gavin, Wyatt, Parker and Jaxon know that she needs their protection. All four of these men are drawn to her. They will protect her with their lives if necessary and then they will claim her. Of course Bailey is shocked by the fact these four gorgeous men want her. Not to mention the part about them being wolf shifters?!

I loved all four of these wolf shifters. Gavin was intense and passionate and determined to make Bailey his mate. Wyatt was hesitant to claim Bailey at first. He wanted her but he wanted it to be about love. Awwww........ Parker was her "rock." He was the one who kept her calm. He was patient and understanding of her feelings. More so than the others in my opinion. And then there is Jaxon. he was the funny one. His jokes were cute and not only balanced out the other men's personalities, he brought lightness to the dark evil they were fighting against.

This is one of those reviews where I find myself lacking for the perfect words. Eve Langlais is an amazing writer. I was experiencing so many different emotions as I read.

I can't say to much about the ending without giving it away. I will say that something happens at the very end that leads me to believe there may be a continuation in book three even though there will be new main characters. If that's the case...I need to get reading!

Love it

I wasn't expecting much more than a nice story but I received a great surprise....although this is a short story, it's a great one. The British writer finds an American in a bar and they have the most interesting experience of walking around the city and experiencing the unusual. What they do find is love...unexpected love.

A fast paced fun paranormal.

Audio Book Review

I love a good Paranormal romance. Out of the Ashes brings us several creatures not just your run of the mill shifter or vampire. we have Arden a half-Elf that owns a resort and is a caretaker. So when sexy Alpha werewolf Eli comes asking the local pack for help to find his missing pack Arden wants to help too. When he finds out Eli and him are mates he is hurt that Eli doesn't seem to want a mate. I loved his friends Whimsy and Julian as well and look forward to a story for them.

The narration is very good. I loved the accent Andrew McFerrin gave Eli and the unique voices of each character.

If you are looking for a good paranormal romance audio with vampires, wizards, werewolves, demons and fated mates I recommend this. Its fast paced and fun with a sweet romance.

Wonderful, Emotional Story

This book, the final one in this part of the series, tells how Leonidas and Roselyn survive all the conflicting magic surrounding their mating and the dragling pregnancy and the possible birth of a healthy, demon free baby. Roselyn has her original witch magic, the dragon and fae magic from their mating and the sealing. But she also has the demon from the attack when she was kidnapped and it is growing stronger!

Both she and Leonidas know that the demon must not be allowed to survive and make several attempts to separate it from her and the dragonling, but to no avail. In this story we see the depth of the love Leonidas has for Roselyn and vice a versa. They are both prepared to give their lives for the others survival and possible happiness. They look for help from many sources, Roselyn's family - dysfunctional as it is - even the three dragon princes try to combine their fae magic to dispel the demon all to no avail.

Erelah an angeling whose sworn duty and greatest joy is protecting humanity but who is also the only female Leksander, the third Prince of the House of Smoke, could ever love plays a part in the story too but I can't tell you what part without giving too much away.

I really loved this story and this part in particular was written in such a way that I just could not stop listening. The story was so full of worry and hope, two contradictory emotions I know, but which would win in the end? I just had to keep listening until I found out.

The climax of the book was without doubt amazing and wonderful, I loved it and the performance by Noelle and Roger was, as always incredible, what a great team we have here a wonderful author in Alisa and two wonderfully talented narrators. I for one can't wait for the next part of this brilliant series Leksander's story to be available on audio.

Short stories

Always delightful to read about Effrijim, the adorable demon. Other characters from the author's works are featured in several very short stories in this anthology. Best enjoyed by readers who have read her vampire and Dragon books.

Great short

I love all of the dragons and Jim. Wanted more, wanted Jim to explain to Aisling and her to kick the apprentice but for doing that to Jim. Maybe next book.

Hilarious read!

It's a great read! Jim is so irreverent and funny! Once you start you won't want to put it down! It's a wonderful side trip in Katie MacAlister's dragon series. You'll enjoy every minute and be wanting to read more stories with Jim by the end!

Anything Katie writes I buy!!! Started with her Dragon books in which Jim was in!! I love him he really makes the books with his antics. Sometimes you just need to laugh until your cheeks hurt!! Wish the whole book would of been about him and getting into trouble and Ash coming to his rescue...but...maybe next time!! I want more dragons so Jim can continue being 'Jim".

Sweet and light hearted, great narration.

Love wanted is a slow paced romance. But also one of friendships and an epic love that transcends life itself. It was incredibly well written and Ezekiel Robison made it a pleasure to listen to. This story is told form multiple POVs but that didnt bother me. It enabled the reader (listener) to really understand all the angles, the feelings and motivations for the people involved.

Larry, down on his luck and on his last dime when the store he's working for keeps cutting his hours and his landlord just served him with an eviction notice for being late with the rent, again. Then we have Bo, the aspiring chef, working as a short order cook. He too is out of luck and money when his school shuts down and keeps his tuition money.

Both men answers a help wanted add from a Mr. Roger Stanhope, a wealthy 93 year old man looking for a live in chef and caretaker. What they don't know about, is Roger's plan for these young men and it might just be more than they bargained for. Some weeks later on the gardener quits and Jimmy is hired on to take care of the grounds and the cars. And with his arrival, will all the best laid plans come tumbling down?

This was a love triangle that I honestly didn't mind. I truly dislike love triangle for the sake of things, when it's only used as a plot device but brings nothing to the story itself, or when everyone falls in "love" with the same picture perfect person at first sight. Please spare me from those. Most triangles are painfully obvious from the beginning and hold no suspense or guesswork where it will turn out in the end. I want to guess, be left in suspense, and wonder about who and how it will all turn out. That's what makes a love triangle work for me. And with this book? I have to say it all worked out very well.

One of my favourite parts of this story was the relationship between Roger and Jeremy. Theyd had a lifetime loving each other, theyd loved truly and well. And nothing, not even death could separate the two lovers. Their love shone through everything and it was wonderful to share those moments with the two. They lived that one true and forever love so many are looking for, but so few are lucky to find.

Ezekiel Robison was a very good choice of narrator for this book.

Whimsical, A Bit Too Fairy, But Fun

The 'rainbows and sparkles' and totally gay names were a bit over the top for me. Once I got passed that distraction, I enjoyed the story. It was creative, whimsical and fun.

Greg Boudreaux did a great job. All in all a good listen.

This book was very entertaining. I enjoyed all of the characters and the universe. It was easy to get sucked in and once I started I couldn't stop.

I loved the book, but the narration took this to another level! This is such a great story that I didn't think could get any better. Greg Tremblay proved me wrong. For me, he made it perfect. I loved every minute of listening (even going over parts). I believed in every character, and he managed to knock Twig from being my favourite- now Bill is my favourite character. I really hope if this becomes a series Bill gets his own story, but NOT with the odious Bransome
