Waited a long time for this story...

I have a lot of really mixed feelings about this book. I read all the others in the series many years ago and felt cheated at how Wisdom ended because so much was left hanging. When I saw this book had finally been written and added to audible to complete the series, I was really excited. I think the story overall was good and I liked the fact that we finally got to understand Peter a little better in this book. I'm not going to give anything away except to say I liked how Peter and Alice's relationship evolved as well as how Jack matured in this final book. Bobby was a stronger character in this book which was also nice. My favorite aspect of the book was getting a glimpse of what Elise was like and finally finding out what really became of her and why Peter was so heartbroken for over a century.

I will say that I understand the ending, but, it doesn't mean I liked it. The ending is where my mixed feelings come to play. I guess I'm sappy and just wanted a better HEA but get that would have been extremely difficult to come by considering the characters personalities within the story. I appreciate that everyone got some kind of closing and a chance to say what they needed too before the end. I'm just mad that it made me cry - I told you I was a sap... Peter was my favorite character and deep down, I was on team Alice and Peter. I do realize Jack was the right choice, however. *sigh*

All in all, I love A.H. writing style. I am glad the narrator finally picked up the pace to a normal speed from the other four books. I had to listen to the previous books in a higher speed to get through them and that was tedious and disappointing because I loved the stories so much.

If your looking to finally end this series, buy this book. It's worth it just to find out what happened to Elise, Peter, Jack, Bobby and Milo.

a long awaited ending.

I waited a long time for this one to come out. I was kinda disappointed with it and at the same time not. part of me wished that Jack found his mate and then Peter and Alice got together in the end

I love this series but after waiting literally years for this final book to come out, and it ends the way that it does they left me very unsatisfied I'm very unhappy with the ending.

Great book made even better by narration

Immortal Ops

Lots of humor through out, enough to relieve the tension of the story line. Excellent!

Good book but don't spent the credit.

Ok so this book was good and truly enjoyed listening to it that being said this book is roughly 3 hours long so I would recommend not using a credit for it. I paid $8 for this one and it was well worth the money. It was a wisper sing book. I enjoyed the action and the plot along with a little bit of romance . I do wish it was a little longer because I would have loved to see you more development with a characters.

Immortal Ops

I'd heard a lot about Ms. Roth's I/Ops series & was excited to listen. While the story & narrator were good, I'm kind of surprised by how short each book is. This one, at just over 3 hours, appears to be one of the longest in the series. As good as the series may be, I'm not spending a credit on such a short book again.

Love this series

This was my first paranormal book. So happy I found this one to introduce me to the genre.

This is well worth the credit spent.

Can't get any better than Tricked!

WOW! Tricked was beautifully wicked, had a bit of darkness that I always adore with Miss Rebecca Zanetti's Dark Protectors and has another delicious alpha vampire that weakened my knees and melted my heart. Jared and Ronni have such an explosive chemistry. This novella had me biting my lip in anticipation and had me completely enthralled. I enjoyed every second of the romance, the passion, the wonderfully crackling sexual tension, and the amazing heart-thumping action.

Rebecca Zanetti writes with passion you can sink your teeth into! Her writing is phenomanl and I can't help but to be sad when Jared and Ronni's story ended. This is by far, the steamiest, maybe even dirtiest book so far and I LOVED IT. The moment this hit my kindle, I devoured this in no time flat and I found myself squirming in my seat, again and again. I can NOT get enough of these Delicious, alpha, dominant Dark Protectors!

Vampire mating at its best!

Loved this book. Jared and Ronni's chemistry is explosive right from the start, you can't help but fall in love with them. I love the fact that even thou the Dark Protectors series is basically over we are still getting spin offs and novella's of the secondary characters.

Ronni was poisoned and it's quickly killing her heart. Jared and his vampire bond and blood are the only thing that can save her life. Ronni wants to live and find the person responsible for trying to kill her but does she really want to be mated to a vampire for life? He maybe funny, sex on a stick, cute and a whole lot of different things but he's an still an Alpha stuck in another century and extremely bosses. But hey a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do :)

This was an awesome quick beach read that I just couldn't put down. I so can't wait to read Ginny and Theo's novella 'Tangled' in May 2017.

Pure Genius

As always, David Brenin did an excellent job performing this story, and I will forever be thankful to S.E. Smith for introducing me to his talent through her Alliance series.

As for the book itself, I loved it. For someone who reads and listens to many sci fi / fantasy romance books each month, this is such a unique way of approaching the Shifter genre. I read the book on Kindle a while back, and had read it again since then. I don't always buy the Audible for books I've read on Kindle, but as soon as I saw it was available for pre-order, I jumped on it. Imho, the story is that good.

In addition to being a refreshing and extremely enjoyable romance, it truly made the plight of Aboriginal peoples and their disappearing cultures real to me. I think the best books not only entertain, but also function as a telescope and a mirror, teaching us about others with whom we share this world and ourselves. I hope S.E. Smith allows this book to become a series. If so, I'm definitely going to be buying the Kindles and the Audibles from now on.

Like but not love...

I liked this story. S E Smith has quickly become a favorite of mine and the combination of her stories and David Brenin's narration is always a winner. Smith has created a fun and unique shifter world where humans are thought extinct until a lone female is discovered. Ty and Ella are likable characters. The storyline is decent. There are several good secondary characters. I just didn't completely "feel" the book. Something was missing for me though I'm struggling to put my finger on it. It was an enjoyable listen and it is worth the credit if for no other reason than to find a new shifter world to play around in.

Shifters with a twist..Humans are the rare ones

I loved this book... such a different take on Human/Shifter relations.

Made me think of white man and native American relations in then early days of the American colonies... so sad.

I liked Ella right away...

Such wonderful characters!

Kyle is a turned wolf. This makes everything different. He grabs your heart and hods on tight. Stephanie is his mate and from his past. These two are great and this story is so good. The narration is terrific. I definitely recommend it. Love this series.

The series gets better with each story.

While Cody is still my favorite hero, Kyle is definitely nipping at his heels. Pun intended. Stefanie, his love interest, was an easy character to connect with and I loved how she refused to back down. Her childhood connection with Kyle simply made their being mates a no brainer for me.

I loved the ending of the book and how they got the old bullerr, I mean alpha out of Arizona. Best part of the book, imo.

Wow! One Strong Woman/Wolf

Firstly I have to say that I read this book way back when it was first released, but I didn't remember all of it so it was a joy to listen to the story and be drawn in to the world of Twin Moons Ranch all over again. All the characters from the first two books are alive and well in this book too and add to the fullness of the world created by Anna Lowe.

The main characters in this book are Stephanie and Kyle, to people who as children/teens met and became fast friends whilst they were living on an army base, both being the children of army personnel. Kyle was living with his mother and a stepfather from hell and Stephanie was his only link to normality.

Jump forward 15 years or so and they meet again on Twin Moon Ranch. Kyle is a police officer, but he is also a changeling - a human bitten by a wolf who survives the change. He's still a loner despite belonging to Twin Moon Pack. He was in a fight with a rouge and would have died if he had not been taken in by the pack. He is their link to the human world via his job with the police force.

One morning he sees vultures circling in the distance and goes to investigate, what he finds is a total shock - he finds an unconscious woman, who he then realises is Stephanie. She too has been bitten by a wolf but at this stage of the story she doesn't know what has happened to her or what the implications will be.

The story then goes on and we find that in wolf law, one bite turns but the second bite binds.

He wasn't your usual suspect...

Nothing like a hot pursuit and hotter love.

I went through a gamut of emotions with this thrilling short lunchtime read. Stunned, embarrassment, heart ache. And on top of all this, WTFF!!! He did NOT do what I thought he did - read to understand.

Former classmates Chris and Matt were complete opposites. Chris had taken the high road and discovered and furnished his dream of becoming a police officer. Matt had become his complete opposite.

Arresting Matt for burglary set into motion something indecent and decadent all in one. Matt used Chris's attraction to get a slap on the wrist. But it all backfires when he finds himself falling for the good guy. How in the hell could a cop and a criminal make it work when they were on different sides of the law? For such a short story, this packed a punch and captured all the nuances of a longer romance.

A fun hot enjoyable short read

This is a short read that is intended to be enjoyed on a lunch break or two and is the first in what will be a cops & robbers type of series. All are standalone.

Chris and Matt`s story is amazing in so many ways how did the author pack so much in to such a short story. I love the chemistry between them from the start they were sweet and hot together. A fun hot enjoyable short read from start to end highly recommend.

Cop catches thief passion ensues

Cops and Robbers? Cop catches thief. Opposites attract. Matt and Chris are on opposite ends of the law but somehow they manage to get away with passion. The characters are interesting. The sex is written well. It is passionate and realistic. I did not want to stop reading this story. I got this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Adventures in Paris

I liked this book even better than the first book. Be forewarned that it does end in a cliffhanger which will leave you scrambling to get the third book in the series. I've come to love the characters in this series and will hate when it ends.

Makes you want to punch them but....

Hands down, the narration. It made all the moments I wanted to pull my hair and punch the characters all worth while

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Silver Thread?

ANYTHING involving Stella (honestly, that kid rocks!)...Other than that it would have to be the scene where Annika asks Talvi to play the electric guitar during band practice and they finish the elusive song.

What does Nick Cracknell bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

He is amazing. I'm currently reading the 3rd book which has no narration at the moment and I miss Nick. There are so many characters in this book and he is able to give them all life & seems to even bring their personalities out. He uses the same voice and accent for Talvi and Finn but somehow they are different enough that you can tell the brothers apart. I find myself attempting to use the same voices in my head while reading book 3...my head is not nearly as good at playing Nick as Nick is at playing the gazillion different characters. Also, I have no idea who Stella is or whose idea it was to add her but cheers for that (also thanks for adding in Annika singing!)

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

As before, definitely the part where Talvi joins band practice and they finish the song. I was also very fond of the "James blows up and goes nuclear" scene after the sugar and fire incident which leads to said nuclear blow up and ultimately fun times with pixie dust.

Any additional comments?

Worth it if only for the narration!

Wow!

I love the characters in the story, the conflict feels real

Breathless.

Wow. It's tempting to say that I am merely breathless. After reading this book I was literally about to send Victoria a physical message thanking her for a book series I literally read in one sitting. Not only does the conflict keep me incredibly involved, the characters almost make me believe that they are my friends.

If you hesitate to ponder whether you should buy this book or not, I can promise you that you will lay your hands upon gold. I wish I had a higher position in the media to publicize this book more; it truly is a hidden gem. It is intellectually stimulating, and clarifies the transition to becoming a lesbian. If you are ever in such position, this book will be your guide to help you through. Truly, a beautiful book on a beautiful subject. 10/10.

Amazing!

I really enjoyed reading this, originally my friend purchased this and I asked if I could read it. But I got hooked! I really find the character 'Tessa' interesting and this is now one of my top 10 favourite reads :)
