the story is pretty good and entertaining

This was book two of a 3 book series! Oh... did I say book? Although this story is printed with a cover and a back cover, I hesitate to call it a book! It is definitely NOT a novel. It is much more a short story. In fact it looks as if the publisher tries to add some blank and filler pages before and after the story begins and ends. The story is only about 70 pages long!!! And, to make the "book" seem bigger they add a "preview" at the end of the story... of the next book in the series. The only problem with that is that the next book in the series is also so short, that the preview is probably a third of the next book!

Don't get me wrong... the story is pretty good and entertaining, even though the characters in the story do not seem written to be very complete. The author does keep me interested in the story, the only problem is that this is a short story... and whatever you pay for it is not worth it if you think your getting a real book, a novel.

This three book series would have been much better if the publisher had published them as a single book. then maybe the story would have been an actual novel that could have boasted to be a bit over 200 pages!!!

I have yet to get book 3 of this series. I may or may not get it in fact. I mean, I already read a third of the book in the previews after the story in book 2. A 70 page story certainly is not worth the cost, but after reading the first two, it might be nice to know how the story ends!

Note to the author... publish the three parts of this story as a single book... perhaps even expand each story as they are way too short and because they're written like a short story, the story and the characters are not written fully or fleshed out like the story in an actual novel.

Title: Hell's Bells

Author: Eve Langlais

Narrator: Mindy Kennedy

Format: Unabridged

Length: 4 hrs and 3 mins

Language: English

Release date: 06-22-17

Publisher: Audible Studios

Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 72 votes

Genres: Romance, Paranormal

Publisher's Summary:

Welcome to Hell, where good intentions have paved the road in sin.

A catastrophe has befallen Hell. The great and mighty Lucifer has fallen prey to the most wicked of spells. He's become...nice.

Just using that word makes Gaia want to gag. The demon she fell in love with is not some pushover, polite, candy-ass nice guy. She wants her big, bad Lord of Sin back.

Can she, along with the minions of Hell, find a way to break the curse? And will they do it in time to celebrate the wedding from Hell?

Members Reviews:

If Love depravity & debauchery a must listen!

Great addition to the story line! Mother Nature to the rescue and run of the show. Luce is at his best and worst. Still funny and a great carry of the story line. This one is forthcoming on the story and no real twist until the end, if you follow the complete story line.

Hell I could deal with

I listened to this series in a binge marathon, it is that good. Ms. Langlais has the ability to pull you into the story and keep you there. The storylines, the dialogue, the characters are extremely well done, and some of the dialogue is so funny I did laugh out loud quite a few times. Lucifer and Gaia and their family and entourage are unforgettable. I recommend this book and the whole series with 5 stars.

I loved the stories when I read them, even better with Ms. Kennedy's exceptional voice, so versatile, made the characters come alive. Thank you for the hours of entertainment and laughter.

Laugh with the Devil

The Devil is getting married. Yeah, married. And because of a curse, he's the biggest Bridezilla in the history of Bridezillas. Imagine the Devil tweeting and about how he is doing all the prep for the wedding and even hashtaging...#squeeeeee. Yeah, tweeting. The saying When Hell freezes over. Yeah, it's snowing. A trip to Hell is always fun and laugh worthy. The cures has turned the Prince of Hell into a sickening sweet, upbeat, please his love at all costs, celebate wimp. Hell is falling apart and the Devil is only concerned with saving the date for the big ceremony. AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY

Very good story!

This was a great storyline, I enjoyed the characters, the twists and turns of the plot. This series was a great binge listen! Can't wait for more.

Fun Series

Have enjoyed all the books to date. They are predictable but still fun to listen too. The devil is as expected; brash and crude. But what else would he be.

Easy listen

This was an interesting audio. I did enjoy the strong female lead & the hot vampire sex. However, I thought the writing was a little Elementry. It was an easy book to listen to while engaged in other activities. It didn't take much concentration in order to grasp the storyline. I am interested to see with the next book holds.

Be ready for a book hangover!

Paranormal romance I am told, and I think to myself, I just don't know if I can listen to this. It is not my choice of genre, but it's Kim Loraine! I love her Golden Beach series, so I have to listen. I will muddle through....but oh was I completely entranced! This book from start to finish captured my attention. Vampires, fallen angels, friends, incubus, wooden stakes, sunlight...so many intricate details are woven into this story of Galen, Reece and Sariel, not even mentioning the incredibly erotic scenes. Kim Loraine is a master at integrating the supporting cast of characters too, giving us Devin, Gabriel and even Lucifer, making them memorable and important. Passion, heat, anger, sadness and every other emotion you can think of will be felt as you read this book. I can tell you I am looking forward to book two and the continuing struggle between heaven and hell...you know it will be a wild ride.

Will M Watt and Susan Fouche...this narrating team is complete perfection.Their talent is beyond extraordinary. Will's ability to switch between Irish brogue and an American accent is flawless and Susan is able to make you feel every emotion that Reece is going through. I could not have enjoyed this book more! Love it!

I've never enjoyed an audiobook THIS much!

Would you listen to Waking the Watcher again? Why?

Absolutely. This is the best narration I've ever listened to.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the relationship between Reese and Galen.

What about Will M. Watt and Susan Fouche s performance did you like?

Everything. They're both so incredibly talented.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed a few times, but no crying.

Any additional comments?

I've read and listened to this book and I prefer listening.

A story about obsession, chemistry & the forbiden

This is my first PNR from this author. The writing is very solid and the overall plot is established clearly. It's a story about wanting what you can't have and the consequences of what happens when you pursue the forbidden. There are many sexy and hot scenes and they are very well written. You feel the heat fly off the page and into your ears with the great narration. These are the types of stories that beg to be performed and am very happy of how these narrators bring these characters to life.

Love Love Love this series

Love Love Love this series. great stories each with a HEA . I really like the fact that although each story stands alone there is a continuing story through out the books.

Not worth my time

I didn't get past the second chapter. I tried, but the writing was terrible. If I had bought it at a store I would have returned it.

Must read!

This is the first book I have read by the author Kenzie Cox and it was a great book to read. I could not put it down until I finished it. The story was well well written and pulls you in with the characters and their storyline. I look forward to reading the next book in the series by this author.

Enjoyed this collection of hot wolves!

I enjoyed the three books in this collection and the over-all series arc. Each book was a quick read and packed a bit of heat while still delivering a great story.

Members Reviews:

Worth reading

I read all three of the Freak House trilogy books and enjoyed them all. They kept me guessing and most times I was wrong which I don't kind because then you know it's a thriller and not obvious as to you being able to predict everything that will happen.

Nice Work

Okay I finished the trilogy. I liked each one they kept me entertained through out the story of how the stories ended in the last book. C.J. Archer is a great writer as far as I concerned. Thank You Ms Archer

Memorable characters and conflicts you'll love

C J Archer is my new, go-to author. I have read three of her trilogies and am anxiously awaiting the next in the Freak House series, because there is so much more to tell and she does it so well. I can't get enough of her stories. Started with the Emily Chambers/Spirit Medium series, then moved on to Freak House 1 & 2. I love novels written in the first person, and her ability to weave a wonderful story with creative dialogue, memorable characters and satisfying conclusions is second to none, as far as I'm concerned. I highly recommend her work to anyone who loves the historical /slightly-Gothic/ mystery novel. Don't waste another day; CJ Archer should be in your library ASAP.

This book is HOT. Action, Mystery, Adventure and Romance burn up the pages as Jack and Hannah close in on answers. LOVED IT!

This is the last book in the first Freak House trilogy, and I am sad to see the focus shift from Jack and Hannah, but I can't wait to read the second installment to the Freak House series which will feature Samuel and his story.

Heart Burn was rich in historical detail and delightful story telling. Mysteries about Hannah and Jack's parentage, Tate and Langley's past, and demon summoning made for an engaging read, while complementing the deliciously torturous desire and sexual tension between Jack and Hannah. C.J. Archer does paranormal and historical romance like no other. The 1st Freak House Trilogy is one of my favorite trilogies of 2013.

Four Stars

well done.
