It was almost like stalling or "filling in time"

Book 4, in my opinion wasn't as riveting as the previous 3. It was almost like stalling or "filling in time". I will say that I'm not as gung ho about buying the rest of the series after finishing this book. It covered over 10 years, but wasn't impressed with the progression.

It just keeps getting better

I am really enjoying this series. The books really tie together well and this book has some real surprises in it. I continue to be enthralled with Senya and Katie. Although I sometimes want to kill them for being so dense they can't see their love for each other. Sort of like real life I think. I think I'll keep reading and find out if they figure it out.

A well written fantasy book

I enjoyed the book and I am sure to follow the series and recommend it to others.

I am Married to an Alien

What would you do to ensure your loved one lived? And, if that cost was paid each day, how would you overcome the emotional challenge? Well, this book covers those issues. This isn't a story of a grand quest to gather some item with a party, like so many fantasy settings. So, if you are looking for shooting action or physical conflict you wouldn't be in the mood for this plot. For my part, I love action stories; however, on occasion I want to read an "emotional" story that has purpose and meaning. Thus, if you are want to enjoy a good story to see what emotional complications are generated with twisting together an alien species with humans then you found an enjoyable journey.

In short, if your expectations are set to follow the struggles of characters you'll not be disappointed.

Absolutely! This is a charming story that will steal your heart!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Glisten of the Ngirozi?

When Earth didn't keep ts deal with the Ngirozi people....I was so mad!

What about Russell Stametss performance did you like?

He is youthful and pleasant to listen to...he did a great job with the main character...and I cant wait to see what happens next!

The end....the wedding vows! So romantic and sweet!

This book was a pleasant surprise, and I hope more people discover it....maybe Audible can do a daily deal with it or something...because people should listen to this story....Fin is a sweet and decent guy who falls in love with an alien girl he names Glisten and basically fights for his love and to save her people from a cruel earth...they go back to her planet and become husband and wife....this is a romantic tale and I loved it!! I hope there is a book 2 soon! Quick light listen that you wont want to put down.....2 thumbs up!!!!

Attitude and Doc Martins will get you pretty far..

Odium 2 picks right up pretty close to where Odium 1 left off. You miss most of the torture that Nina went through, but you do get some snippets of it. And it is bad. Really bad. Any normal person would be curled up in a ball sucking their thumb if they had to go through what she did. Still she goes on. And keeps her snarky attitude. Nina is one of my favorite hot headed, stubborn, eye rolling heroines. Even if I do occasionally want to stop and shake the heck out of her. It makes her that much more realistic.

Book two proves to be much darker than the first one. You meet some great characters along the way, and watch them all get into trouble trying to find someplace safe.

Jennifer Reilly is the voice of Nina. She reads her perfectly. When I read Odium Origins part 2 I read it with her voice in my mind.

I cant wait to see what happens in the next installment of Odium, and what trouble Nina will manage to get into. Thanks to the holy crap revelation at the end, I will be stalking Claire until it is released.

Great Sequel to First Book

What made the experience of listening to Odium II the most enjoyable?

I love the narration, very pleasant and easy to listen to, good pace, nice voice and a variety of "voices" to keep it fresh, some were really fun to listen to as well. I am a big fan of Odium so I've been waiting for the sequel!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was good, fun read. Very fast paced, action packed. I enjoyed it very much. A couple of unique and weird concepts I haven't seen before in zombie plots. Curious to see where this goes.

Any additional comments?

I would definitely recommend to start with the first Odium book which was really good. The first book has a little more character development and gives you a real sense of who Nina, Mikey and Emily are. The second book was good as a sequel, as it moves very, very fast.

MOST annoying character EVER

This pretty much sums it up.............

Nina won't tell Mikey something that happened on a scavenging run, He gets angry because she doesn't trust him enough to tell him what is bothering her...........Nina gets mad at him & slaps him for not "just trusting her". oh good grief! She is the whiniest, bitchiest, most selfish heroine I've ran across yet. If she was a bada$$ I could see the author justifying it. But she's not.

It would be a pretty good story if there was another lead character. Picks up where last book left off.

Would you try another book from Piers Anthony and/or Steven Menasche?

I would not read another Piers Anthony book after this travesty however Steven Menasche's narration was probably the only reason I held on through the end.

What didnt you like about Steven Menasches performance?

Interesting take on a society built around psi powers.

Sexist. Misogynistic. Pointless. Abrupt ending. Multiple times found myself question the actions of the characters, in that if they had just used the powers/ resources they had used earlier in the book they could have easily overcome their current hurdle. Example: *SPOILERS* During the final battle why did Knot wait until the majority of his group was dead/ incapacitated to align with the bees and get the override code for the door to the main CC power room. He could have aligned with the bees in the first control room they entered. *END SPOILERS* Sloppy writing. Really didn't want to finish the book and would have been happier if I had stopped half way through saving myself from the pointless ending. There are no other reviews for this book which is why I am leaving one, in hopes that I save at least one other unsuspecting listener from my fate. But what do I know? I'm just a woman.

The automaton sound of the narration could have been overlooked, but he seemed to be unable to follow punctuation.

The main character's cheap knock off of a 1950's hardboiled detective was ludicrously set in a dystopian future.

I couldn't make it through the set up.

Enjoyable Easy Read

A fun mystery. Not an award winning novel, but great for an enjoyable entertaining read.

Mediocre at best

Definitely not one of Nora Roberts' better reads. Story is rather dull and difficult to get interested in. It had the potential to be a good book, but just didn't make it.

The story itself wasn't bad. I was able to figure out the ending nearly halfway through the book. My only complaint would be how fast everything happened with Laurel and Matthew. One minute they dislike each other. The next, he kisses her. Then they have 4 drinks and kiss. The next day, she loses her virginity. The next day, their engaged. I understand that during the year prior, Matthew had feelings for her and showed it by constantly picking on her and annoying her, but still, the way their relationship evolved was way too fast.

Perry mason summaries

It was a decent storyline Kate Rudd always does an amazing job. she could make a dictionary sound interesting. but the perry mason summation the the end of the books treats the reader like they weren't clever enough to figure it out.

well written, great characters. this is the final book in the series and you should read them start to finish. the authors are great and the narrator is perfect for these! I'm off to buy more books by these authors!

Great seried

Hate to see this series end. Wish there were more. Small town gets brought in the big city issues. Small town girl grows up moves to LA. Stevie move back, joins the police department. Murders start happening. What's happening. Started with book #1 and couldn't stop.
