    Asking for my credit back!
I admit, I only made it through part 1 of this download. Just can't bear to waste more time on this one -- and I'm one if those people that rarely gives up on a story. The premise sounds good but two hours in I was already bored. Too many history lessons built into the writing that really don't explain or connect well enough to the story. Too many events not plausible as depicted. The 'love' seems more like a bored fascination than any true feelings from either hero or heroine. And the net speak sounds like reading my teenager's text messages -- cliche-ish and trite. And overdone.

Very Good Story - but too preachy in some parts
Very good story- plot definitely fits into today's political/ radical/ terrorist climate - so I didn't want to stop listening - I wanted to find out how it was all going to work out. But the preachy parts did take away from it for me & some parts, especially near the end were not as believable. I might have hesitated to buy it if I had known it was christian based - but over all I'm glad I listened to it.
    Great story, Great narrator
This wonderful story came alive with the excellent narration of Mr . Dallimore. His ability to give each character's voice a different vocal distinction makes for a more exciting adventure.
    Needs new reader
I love this story but the narrator gave no emotions and his timing was way off. I struggled through it because of the narrator. This story is amazing but the narrator distracted me because of how monotone the performance was.
    Love this series
I've actually read this series before but I have recently gotten into audiobooks and wanted to listen to it. I thought the narrator did an excellent job with the voices of the terrorists.
    Really worth listening to.
Well written and the narrator did a great job. It was exciting and kept your attention. A good clean Christian story.

I thought this book was one of her best. The characters were well developed and the plot was interesting. Best of all, it was funny. As outrageous as some of the characters were, you still rooted for them and wished you could meet them in person.

Well, she did it again.... just can't put it down, having to know more about the story. Keeping you on the edge of your seat... Can't wait for the next one to come out....

I'm sorry... but his is bad
What disappointed you about The Cove?
I know that C Coulter has a loyal following. I've even enjoyed a book or two, but... NO.. just no. This was so poorly written and so lame. Written in the voice of "Oh John... Oh, Martha" sappy romance dime novels, but pretending to be a mystery. Characters are totally unbelievable. NO one would behave that way. Dialog was so inane and the whole plot was ridiculous, a few times I wanted to bang my head on my ipod. I know you ask, then WHY did I continue to listen? I kept hoping (call me the optimist) that at some point it would take a turn and make sense or get better, or come to a conclusion that would have justified the time already invested in listening... but NO. I'm not a literature snob. In fact, I'm rather easy to entertain. I enjoy so many genres and appreciate many different writing styes. I rarely give negative reviews, fully realizing that what we enjoy is highly subjective. But, please save your money. This book is so, so very bad. I got it on sale and if not for that, I would be calling to get my money back.
Has The Cove turned you off from other books in this genre?
The genre? What genre was this exactly? It wasn't a romance novel, and sure as heck wasn't a mystery. It had no genre... maybe a comic strip
What three words best describe Sandra Burrs performance?
Sandra was fine. She isn't responsible for bad material. Her voicing and inflections were appropriate and she did her job.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
    all of the above.
    Any additional comments?
Run... save your money. Don't waste your time. Not to Coulter. Please show more respect for your readers. We deserve better from you.
Kept waiting for this book to improve
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Different narrator would help this tremendously.
Has The Cove turned you off from other books in this genre?
    Yes
How could the performance have been better?
I felt the narrator did not connect with the characters.
What character would you cut from The Cove?
    None
    Any additional comments?
Although the story was interesting, the story never really flowed. I never felt connected to the characters in any way.
Average Dramatization. Insipid Characters - Skip I
What disappointed you about The Cove?
The story was predictable and boring. The characters were bland and unlikeable.

    It was ok...
I liked the book but the narrator made it feel like a cheesy crime novel with the voices; normally I'm a big fan of it but his female voices were horrid and that SQUAK! made it hard to follow, I found I was going back often just to catch what was said.
Overall content was good, story has some holes but I'm willing to try the next book just to see.
    Disappointing. Disappointing. Very Disappointing
What disappointed you about The Edge?
The story line was at times interesting if not Illogical and even preposterous but the innappropriate dialogue between characters was so childish it was painful . I had the distinct feeling I was reading a novel written by a 8 grader. The narration was most annoying making the overall experience too much to endure. Sorry, but this one is not worth further discussion.
Has The Edge turned you off from other books in this genre?
If the Edge is typical of Catherine Coulter's writing, it will be my last read.
    Horrid narration!
The narrator was horrible with the female voices. He made the characters, who should have been strong women based on their professions, sound simpering and weak and in need of saving. In fact some of this was the fault of the author, but the narrator made it even worse.
    unbelievable
I like Catherine Coulter's FBI series, but this story went from okay, to bad, to worse, to ridiculous.
    Story ruined by narration
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No, the narrator made the story sound like an old black and white cheesy PI movie.
I read this story years ago when it first came out, and liked it. Not my favorite of the series, but I did like it. If all I had to judge the story was by this listen, I would have given it a much lower score than a 3 overall.
What didnt you like about Robert Lawrences performance?
The strong women federal agents sounded like whiny weak little girls to me. The only women he didn't make sound horrible was Gilly. The different men's voices were just as bad.
The whole performance just sounded cheesy and old time cliche, like those old Humphrey Bogart detective movies. Not my style.

    Great!
Great story and an excellent narrator. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
WRONG COVER + POOR STORY = NO
I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author in exchange for an unbiased review.
Darn, I really wanted to like this but couldn't. So unbelievable but I'll give it a gold star for creativity. But Markithus was no Alpha. I didn't see any redeeming qualities in him other than yes, he wanted to have emotions. But he didn't fight much for anything. And Lanie wasn't much better. I rolled my eyes way too often, but I won't make a list.
Narration was good. I've heard her performances before and they have never given me a cause to complain.
Hands stuffed in my pockets, folks.
    Different from the start!
I had a hard time at first with this story. It grew on me. Once I got into it, I didn't want to stop. Give it a try! I really enjoyed it.
    S I-Fi Horror
There isn't a lot I can say without giving away the plot. I will disclose that it isn't your typical alien-to-human love story. A hint; earth girls make nice babies.
It's H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, and Margaret Atwood rolled into one. If you enjoy being chilled to the bone, then this is for you.
I listened to most of it but horror is not my genre. I gave up before the finish line.
    Entertaining
I got this ARC via the author and this is my review. The narrator took the story and started running with it and did not stop until the end. I loved the way she showed Marticus arguing with himself. The descriptions were awesome. Especially loved how that suit wrapped around her so she would not be caught. When Lainey finally forgave him made me sit up and take notice. This was a well-developed story that kept my attention the whole while. I finished listening in one sitting. Lost some sleep but that was ok. I'm retired.I am my own boss. Good story about a cruel race but one of them was able to step out and see the world differently.

Another era....Another series from M.L. Gardner
Leaving the door open for sequels yet to be written, Gardner tells the story of an era yet to occur. She has perfected the skill for drawing the reader into the story, offering page after page of eagerness to see what's next. This reader has enjoyed each story she has written; and "Sayan Knights" is no exception. There is no slow beginning. No failure to relate to her characters. No boredom with the plot. Pick up an ML Gardner book, and I assure you that you will be hooked on her work. Now, on to the story....
Another era.....descendants of the old world work to survive and prosper in a new world dominated by "the city". You will find romance, combat, envy, developing relationships....and wisdom. Gardner never simply ends a story. She always leaves the door open for more to come....
The only problem with Ms. Gardner's books is that ...
The only problem with Ms. Gardner's books is that they leave you wanting more and more. Strong characters, and plot. Worthy of the read and your time, this book will entrap you in another world and keep you there.
    Couldn't Put It Down
This is an engaging story that has a steady pace of action and drama. I enjoyed both the world building and character development. The tales revolves around two brothers and a new woman that joins the resistance movement. We see the motivations and desires of all three major players as they relate to each other and the community. I enjoyed how the author created lots of action using very little fighting, which is refreshing even if I normally prefer âblood and guts fights.â
Rather than give away plot points and spoilers, I want to encourage you to just jump in and read the book. It was a complete ending that opens up sequels.
The beginning of a great adventure!
I just read this story while away on holiday. It was an awesome retreat into a world of adventure and adversity. The main characters are engaging and human. And I appreciated that! Can't wait to see what's next in this series!
Can't wait for the next one
I devoured the 1929 series (If you haven't read it, you should) so I was excited to see a new book by M. L. Gardner. This new series didn't disappoint.

    What a surprise!
Wow... what a surprise book! I wasn't expecting such an in depth story...but wow... The female characters was surprisingly... tough...
Most of these sappy romance stories have the women falling all over the man, and just ooze forgiveness after the man hurts them. Women are emotional and you rarely ever see a woman actually get pissed and stay pissed for significant about of time in these type of books.
Teresa was a great character, as she found out why her marriage was horrible from day one, and the man she thought loved her, really didn't.
Alexandro was a good character too, as he found out that Teresa had no knowledge of their fixed marriage, so the entire time, he was hurting her thinking she knew about everything when she didn't.
Nice drama, and awesome smexyness... although it wasn't graphic, it was subtle but intense. I totally loved it. Great to see how Alexandro changed over the course of the story.
Well worth a credit, buy or sale... book is not all that expensive...under 10 bucks!
Nice narration... Good shift in male to female voices...plus the Italian accents weren't all that bad either...
    horrible, horrible narration
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I really, really wanted to hear this book because of the recommendation of a friend. I can't easily read a whole book in print, so I was happy to see it was available in audiobook. However, this is one of the most offensive narrations I've ever listened to. I've heard young readers who should never have been hired to read an audiobook. Justine Eyre doesn't have this excuse. I have heard books she's read that have been fine, although I don't really love her voice. This narration is so extremely affected that it's actually quite ridiculous. It's not clear what accent she is trying to use for the heroine; the hero is supposed to be Italian and it's not completely off, it's just so over the top silly. But the main narration is so extremely bizarre, it's hard to imagine what Ms. Eyre thought she was doing. I know from other books that Ms. Eyre is NOT good at accents. She apparently believes that she is. I know that she records at a home studio and doesn't use a producer, which she desperately needs. I honestly hope that anyone who wants to hire Ms. Eyre to narrate will insist on having both a producer and an editor/director working directly with her. She's Canadian but even her French accent isn't good; she's been trained (at least a little) but her British accents are poor. Really the only accent she's good at is Canadian/American and if she tones her style way, way down. If this rant sounds like I'm upset, I am. The reader of a book should NEVER put herself into a book in this way; we readers want to appreciate the book; the narrator does the best work when he/she disappears into the work and is only appreciated after the fact when the listener relishes a good book that was really well read.
So listen to this book at your peril.

Cant wait for the next one!
I was completely hooked on the Bluegrass Series by the end of the 1st book. I have a long commute to and from a demanding job so I need time to unwind - Kathleen Brooks books are perfect. Good stories, good plots, good characters, a little bit of humor, and not trashy thank goodness! (I get tired of fast forwarding through books that are 25%+ sex.) I just can't remember when I've enjoyed a series more and the narrator is perfect! Thanks Ms Brooks...another job well done.
    Great story
I am a huge fan of this storyline. I love all the caricatures and can hardly wait until the next book comes out!
    Another great book
Kathleen Brooks has done it again! I just love the Forever Bluegrass series! This book had a lot of humorous moments in between the serious and intense moments. Now that I finish this book, I want another one!!
