This series is so fun to read.

I thought this was so much fun to read. From the very beginning, there is this tension between the characters, interlaced with a history that goes back many years. There is even a dash of mystery as the story unfolds. The ride the story takes you on is quite thrilling and will keep you turning pages way too fast. Tamsyn is one cool gal and Iâd love to be her friend. She seems a bit out of place with the boys because she almost seems too down to earth for their boy-ish pranks and general tomfoolery. When Slade is introduced, the hearts start pounding. His air of mystery mixed with his charm will have you swooning, possibly more than you did for Axel (who makes an appearance!). There are secrets to be uncovered and moments of passion. I only wish there was more.

Besotted: Tamsyn and Slade: Steampunk Romantic Adventure

Elle Clouseâs steampunk universe is fresh and well-developed, with a complex political situation and alternate industrial developments. Tamsyn is kidnapped early in the story, but she is tough, skilled, and never stops trying to escape. When Slade realizes Tamsyn is missing, he investigates all avenues in his search for his new love. I havenât read the earlier novellas in Elleâs Chaos Factor Steampunk series, and I was able to enjoy the story as a standalone romance. I enjoyed the universe Clouse created, and her characters are wonderful. And I have to say Airships! No Steampunk novella is complete without Airships! Yay!

I want to see more of this world

This was my first Chaos Factor book. I really enjoy the steampunk genre. Ms. Clouse did a great job of setting up the characters and their history together, especially for someone like me who hasn't read the previous stories. The storyline was great, it had action, mystery, and a kick-ass heroine. The taste I got of this world made me want to go back and read the other books in this series. Well done.

Steampunk Fun

The Factor Steampunk series is great fun to read! I loved Tamsyn and her tough can-do attitude and so does Slade. One of my favorite lines as Sladeâs âSheâs a gunslinger?â I was also pleased to have Axel and his Airship assist the smitten Slade, Edge, and Lir search for Tamsyn after she is kidnapped. I would recommend this series to those who love streampunk.

Weird but interesting

So this is the first book for me by this author. Overall I found the storyline to be a little weird but interesting. I'm sure I'm in the minority but certain parts just didn't work for me. CONTAINS SPOILERS-- Here's why so don't continue reading my review if you don't want to know details. Like Dana's parents were harsh a**h****s who kicked her out when they found out she was pregnant. Plus her dad treated her like crap and never paid her well when she worked for him. But yet all things were forgiven and hunky dory in the end with her relationship with them. I find that hard to believe after the way it was emphasized on their treatment of her. Or like when she went to stay with Elijah after finding him. She stated she was basically broke and couldn't afford to stay at a motel but a few days. Really? How much does gas, a motel room and food cost? She found him almost immediately once she left home. Where did the $5.000 her parents gave her to leave by a certain date go? Or the money she supposedly had saved working and could rent a one bedroom apartment for a month along with enough for food and basic expenses for about six months? With that being said that's part of why it just didn't flow for me.

Another fun novel by Sara Zenia!!

I received an ARC for an honest review. This was an interesting story. I find it funny that some reviewers think a biopic man is far-fetched. In the 1960s, there was a TV show called the Six Million Dollar Man who was biopic. It's probably on TVLand or Netflix now. So I contained it farfetched, I find it appalling that The Organization was then going to use these rebuilt soldiers as 'cannon' fodder for a host of different weapons. Bad government! So I'm glad Elijah escaped and met Dana. Whether it made him remember his humanity or not is up to the reader, so you need to read the book. It's interesting, fun, and sexy. There's some twists you don't expect which keep you on your toes!

Made the Grade: Bionic Outlaw's Baby by Zara Zenia

3 out of 5 stars! Elijah was a lifer in the Army, who grew up in foster care, so when a mission turns him up as dead he understands that no one will be out there really missing him. What surprises him is that he awakes to find that the doctors revived him, yet they did so in a way that irrevocably changed him into a bionic man. Though he really doesnât mind the tests the doctors do on him and likes his living arrangement, for the most part, after a fellow âtest subjectâ befriends him they learn that they are more like prisoners than anything else.

This audiobook was given to me for a honest unbiased review. This sci-fi romance was great. Loved how the Aliens had to learn Earth's culture. This is a different take on other sci-fi romances where the human woman has to go to a different planet and learn different culture. This difference makes this book stand out. It is good that not all of the book was sex, there are sex scenes, but this is not a full out erotica porn situation, but a romance!! Smut has its place, but for those who want a little more romance than sex, this is perfect for you.

Good start to a series. Entertaining, fun and enjoyable short story. It's a good story for those days when you want something a little different. The Warriors from Orba are refugees from outer space looking for a safe place to live.

Romance, a bit of action, humor, aliens, mental abilities, strange new world, and a HEA.

While the story was entertaining, engaging and interesting enough to keep my attention it would have been nice to have a little of their backstory before they landed on earth. As well as a bit more of the relationship between Allison and Benzen. But then again, there is only so much you can fit into a shorter story.

It started out with a bit of action then slowed down for a while to focus on the warriors acclimating to their new surroundings then picked up again with more action.

The "innocence" of the Orba warriors in their new surroundings was humorous to hear. Having to learn the "human" ways of life and trying to adopt to their surroundings gave the story a lighter tone in between the action.

It is the first in the series so not all the lingering questions are answered in this book. I am actually looking forward to the next book in the series. It synopsis sounds really good.

Sierra Kline did a good job with the narration. Pleasant voice. Easy to listen to for long periods of time. Good character voices even her male voices are good. Clearly spoken with a nice pace. She was able to make the characters come to life.

This audiobook was given to me for a honest unbiased review. This was good, not great but not horrific either. Had potential, but the delivery was not great.

DOESN'T DELIVER IN HEAT, ROMANCE OR VOCALS

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

I expected a steamy and raw alien abduction adventure but didn't get it. What I got was a romp of a story that quickly moved from one scene to (often unrelated) another. Beginning with a battle to meet Urie, going to meeting Samantha as she's captured during a run. And then back and forth. The opening battle provided only one component that carried through and even that added nothing to the story. As far as the romance... Samantha unequivocally fought against any submission, and yet one sight of Urie in the shower and she was (more or less) submissively in love. That lead to one sex encounter, over pretty darn quick, and she's happily playing house. There's turmoil as Urie sets off to save his family. Not to spoil anything, I'll just say I never felt he had Samantha as his #1 priority.

The book kept me listening because it moved quickly. It failed to evoke any strong feelings, though. Stronger moral statements could have been made against racism & slavery. Or it could have been Erotica. Something.

Sorry, but Max Lehnen didn't cut it for me. Maybe he's do better with a comedic verse... the narration was so "once-upon-a-timey" (ugh). I can't think of a word to describe it. He sounded "old" or "preachy" or "singsong." Looking into his other (many) works, the books get good reviews but his narration most often doesn't.

My final answer? Comme ci comme ça. Passable.

I enjoyed this story, but there was just something about this narrator doing the female voice that turned me off!

Step outside of the box - you'll love it!

Ruce Haulk is a lonely man. Just wanting to kill some time, he lands on a planet to find something to do, maybe gamble a little and have a drink. When he ends up beating Yarnell at his own game, heâs offered a âlady of the night,â so to speak, until midnight as a prize. He wasnât expecting who she turned out to be, or to find himself in the middle of a skin-trafficking scheme.

Remi Clysonne is an undercover officer that was sent to bust Yarnell in his illegal operations, but found herself his slave. When newcomer Haulk shows up, she knows itâs her chance to get away. And him winning her just made her plan a little easier, if she can only convince him that she speaks the truth.

The two run, but Yarnell will stop at nothing to get his property back. As they spend time together, feelings start to grow, but can Haulk accept her past and the men sheâs had? Can Remi accept him and all of his mechanical differences?

Part western, part steampunk, part sci-fi, and an all-around wonderful story. Mine Until Midnight is a different type of book than what you may be used to but take a chance and step outside of the box. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Everything about this book was fabulous!

This book has everything you could ask for.

Our hero, Ruce Hault is bored and asked his AI ship to find a planet so he can have some fun.

This could have easily been the WORST decision he had ever made.

But due to a beautiful woman and his ability to out-play seasoned cheats in a card game, it will turn out to be a fabulous decision, albeit one that nearly kills him and did hurt like hell.

Everything about this book was fabulous!

The writing, the scene set ups, the mixing of an old cowboy movie with spaceships and metallic robot horses. The non-stop action. The likability of the good characters and the utter dislike of the villain. The wonderful towns people who also hate the cheat in charge and risk their lives helping Ruce and Remi.

Both the hero and heroine have secrets that makes them think they are each unlovable, but both are better than the prejudices that have kept them alone âtil now.

I loved everything about this book.

Drawn into the characters lives as they fight on.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was hooked to the story. It was a growing mystery about Nadira's parents and more. There is some connection to them, their disappearances/deaths, and others. But what is it? What is the truth? I had to know! So much new information to take in! I was enthralled with the story!

Sometimes I'm so drawn into the story I forget to make notes for the review. It's a good thing! It happened with this story. I was so intent on listening to everything that happened and all the details, living with the characters and enjoying all scenes, that I didn't want to stop to make notes.

Deborah had me worried for Nadira and Jonathan in this book. I worried for their connection, their lives, and their well being. I was saying to myself, a few times, that just can't be...they have to....there's a hint for what I want, or am I reading to much into it. I love when an author has me question myself and what's happening, it's all done in a good way and keeps me guessing.

The little extras that narrators do help make the book all that more interesting. Kristin has a talent of adding a bit of that flare to her work. Nadira and Jonathan have a psychic ability to mentally speak and in doing this Kristin does this in a way that you know it's not normal speak - there's a sound like it's dreamy or echo-y but clear to hear. Kristin does different voices for the characters, making them easier to differentiate when listening to all together.

We are reintroduced to the main characters, and those around them, in the first chapter. This is so well done as it's about now and how Nadira and Jonathan are living. But we see what had happened as there is a new worry as of today. Mikal has escaped from the penal colony he was imprisoned on, after the Burn Order was carried out.

This book seems to conclude a period of Nadira's life that was stressful. But, in the end I heard about the next book that's coming. It'll be done with a character we got to see in this series. Cool beans!

Different from the first book...in a good way.

While I liked Thicker than Blood (book 1), It was hard for me to read because the characters were never able to really catch a break.

This book on the other hand absolutely blew me away! Its raw and gritty, full of deep emotion. You will FEEL everything in this book. It was amazing to watch a little bit of beauty grow in a world that was twisted and dark. The character development with Eagle and Autumn was so impressive. This is now at the top of my favorites list.

Walking Dead

This story was simular to the TV program the Walking Dead, simular as the same walking dead people, if they bite you, you become a zombie so to speak. The story was mainly about surviving within a camp, the hostility that is generated when life it self comes down to surviving. A couple of lost souls find each other regardless how cruel life becomes. Enjoyed the journey the story token me on.

Sarcastic Annie and the Space Pirate Bear Shifters

"Breakwater: Leo" was a surprise to me after reading many of Ms Fanning's recent non sci-fi bear shifter stories. Annie is a hysterically funny, strong, witty, and sarcastic young woman who has had everything go wrong, but is willing to fight her way to freedom. Despite her extreme annoyance at her father for his failings and getting her kidnapped, she still wants him to be safe from harm.

Annie's run in with Leo and his team of space pirate bear shifters is interesting. The story is very short with limited character development, but it makes a fun, quick read during a break.

Lots of fun

It's annie's wedding day and boy was it is a nightmare. Not that things were going wrong, nope it was that her father sold her to a terrible space warlord. Getting off the ship and running for her life was easier compared to staying free.

Captain Leo of the Breakwater took one look at the women running out of the woods and knew he had knew if he didn't help her he would regret it for the rest of his life.

Oh my two favorite things shifters and space!

This is a short and fast pace story with lots of fun.

Shifter and syfy you can't go wrong.

I was given this arc for a fair review. what a great story. If you like shifter stories, this is a great collection. Some of the stories are so unusual, they are unlike anything I have read before. The author has a great imagination. I only wish I had realized that the stories inter-connected, they were not necessarily in order.

Wham Bang Thank You Mam !!!!! What an ending, DO NOT PASS THIS UP

OMG author Travis Luedke's final book in his Angel 6.0 series, Emissary, it's filled with surprise after surprise. It's jam packed with the same violent action and sex you can expect from a Luedke's novel, butttt he does it, in my opinion, differently. I was surprised at how it started but believe me that changed quickly; he had to build more background for what was to come. Then Wham, Bang towards the end I was yelling at him (Luedke that is)how could he do that to us NO,NO,NO. That's what happens when you jump to conclusions. I'm going to miss Angel, and her band of conventional and unconventional lovers, her strength, her mad skills, even her love of pain. As a fan I can only hope that one day she'll surprise us and show up, you know like a cameo in a movie. I don't like doing spoilers so I can only hope I didn't over do it, because I've said a lot more than I usually do. Author Luedke has some mad, crazy skills in his story telling and I would recommend this and all the Angel 6.0 books to those that love SciFi with a delicious touch of the erotica and the blood and guts of a really good thriller. By Angel, I'll see you in my re-reads.

Did not see it coming

This has been a fun ride with a girl who turns out to be more human than those around her. Even with the last book ending on an exciting note, this one starts a little less dramatically. Things were a little slow for me to start up with but picked up quickly and moved us into the action I had been anticipating. The characters were even more vivid here as things started to come to a head for both humans and cats. The language was what I expected from this group of characters including the cats who seemed to have a very human temperament at times. The world they inhabited could be now or a hundred years from now because the human way of thinking does not seem to have changed from the beginning of time.

Angel has had a hard time since she was taken by the Gran and used as a concubine from Nugene Station. But things had started to get better with the Emperor's son taking such a liking to her that he wished to keep her as his mate, and having Cesar actually come for her and try to free her.
