    Self promotion with political rants.
This author is an extreme liberal with personal political rants. This is a self published, self recorded by the author who goes off on tangents of political opinion with very little substance. This is such a low budget recording, which had a lot of hiss, squeaking doors and clearing of his throat it is almost laughable. It was not till after ten hours of listening that I started learning anything and found his information to be very generalized. Did I get some ideas? Yes. Could I get the same elsewhere, yes and I did with more detail. This in my opinion was a total waste of my money and time. I cannot recommend this to anyone.
Self promotion, horrible audio, if I only knew....
This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
    Nobody
Has Multilevel Marketing Success Manual turned you off from other books in this genre?
    Yes
Would you be willing to try another one of Michael Mathiesens performances?
Never - if he is a professional, I don`t know who might be better!
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Multilevel Marketing Success Manual?
    The entire book
    Any additional comments?
Please, a book that has hundreds of coughs throughout it, how come did YOU let him sell this book? Im seriously thinking about not buying a book from Audible anymore!!!!
    I'm waiting for Volume 2
Enjoyed the audio book, so I'm waiting for book 2. Very informative. Mr. Mathiesen talks instead reading and it's a personal journey for him.

    Narrator: Jay Webb
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 11 hrs and 8 mins
    Language: English

    Genres: Business, Management
    Publisher's Summary:
Time and space. Genetics and robotics. Education and fashion. Possibilities limited only by our imaginations. The future is yours to create. Could you be the Leonardo da Vinci of our times? Most ideas are incremental, quickly copied and suffocated by conventions. "Future back" thinking starts with stretching possibilities then makes them a reality "now forward". The best ideas emerge by seeing what everyone has seen, and thinking like nobody else. Newness occurs in the margins not the mainstream. Solutions emerge through powerful fusions of the best ideas into practical, useful concepts. Creative people rise up. Visionaries, border crossers, and game changers: Engage your right brain; open your eyes; think more holistically...intuition rules.
From Apple to Blackberry, GE to Google, innovative companies stand out from the crowd not so much for their exceptional products, despite what one might assume, but for the way they challenge conventions, redefine markets, and change consumer expectations. Apple didn't just create the iPod; it envisioned the future of music and then made a product to service that future. And the same holds true for every highly innovative company. In Creative Genius, Peter Fisk presents 10 tracks for innovation and provides business blueprints for making that innovation happen.
Creative Genius is inspired by the imagination and perspective of Leonardo da Vinci, in order to drive creativity, design, and innovation in more radical and powerful ways. It includes practical tools ranging from scenario planning and context reframing to accelerated innovation and market entry, plus 50 tracks, 25 tools, and 50 inspiring case studies.
Creative Genius is "the best and last" in the Genius series by best-selling author Peter Fisk. Others include Business Genius, Marketing Genius and Customer Genius.

    Creative Genius is Pure Genius
This book provides a framework for businesses to innovate in a way that creates competitive advantage. It shows that innovation is a mix of science and creativity and more than just sitting in the board room trying to think of new ideas. This book will be valuable to anyone that benefits from developing new ideas because it will show you how to develop and commercialise your ideas. I have my copy on my desk at all times. Happy innovating.
    Creativity enhancer (?)
This is a very nice book that goes through the stages of raw creativity and then tries to provide tools for those that want to master the idea generation methods and other ways to develop and furthermore provide an improvement to current practices on the flow and control of the creative impulse.
    A great read
A great book, just as all the previuos ones by the same author, but if you read them all, some ideas tend to repeat. This is inevitable, though, when one plans to write a series of books united by the same concept.
    Creative Genius
If you flip open marketing expert Peter Fisk's remarkable innovation handbook, you'll find something useful on every page. After introducing Leonardo da Vinci as a model and enumerating his qualities, Fisk offers a choppy but interesting host of lenses, images, options, ideas, metaphors, models and approaches, all to provide new perspectives based on a synthesis of sound concepts that you might not think of combining.

Nothing New Under The Stars... But Still a Great Book
Why would some one rate a book five stars even if that person found nothing new in that book? That's what happened with me when I read "Internet Reputation Management For Business" by Guillermo Rivas. I gave it that high rating for two main reasons:
First, because the book lives up to its positioning for business. Small to medium size business owners and those new to the field of Internet Reputation Management will find in this book all they need for a solid foundation.
Second, as an expert in online reputation management, one would not find much new in it. But even then, the examples and analogies that Rivas used throughout the book to make his points understandable by his target audience, these same analogies and examples can be used by Internet Reputation Experts to explain the importance of online reputation management to potential or existing clients who are reluctant or skeptical about it.
Based on the above, I highly recommend this book to beginners as well as experts.

    Publisher's Summary:
Some successful project managers use wrong project tools, while some unsuccessful managers use "state-of-the-art" project tools. In other words, how could project managers execute successful projects using the wrong project tools; and likewise, how could project managers execute unsuccessful projects using the best project tools? This contradicts the project management experts advertising that their tool would revolutionize the project business by making one successful in running a project. Nevertheless, project tools are important. The general thesis is that using just the best project management tools while forgetting everything else about running the project would doom the project to failure.
This book contains information about what works and what does not work when managing a project, which can be used to assist anyone in managing a more successful project. This book provides a project management framework illustrating twenty-four project management rules.

Weird story along the way to useful PM points.
Was he on acid? The voodoo doll mirror stories were weird and unnecessary. Good lessons learned.
    good message
author does a good job getting the message accross on key project management principles that should be considered for effective execution.
    Good Reminders
I enjoyed this. A lot of the "lessons" are cliche, but served as good reminders. The format introduced a new context or perspective for some of the lessons that I hadn't thought of before. Overall a good listen.

    Simply Elegant
I just finished "20 Minutes to a Top Performer", and as an Executive and Life Coach, I have pages highlighted and marked for easy copying to give my clients, who protest that they don't have time to breathe, much less read a WHOLE BOOK. What I loved about this book is that it was simply elegant...what could be clearer than "Here's a few steps...do these, don't do these other things." The reviews and prep.sheets at the end of each chapter were and are a helpful way to easily put this knowledge into practice. No big huge mind bending revelations, just some down to earth ideas that you know intuitively to be true. And coupled with this practicality, is a sense of compassion and patience for that fact that we are all struggling human beings, and it sometimes just takes time....we applaud ourselves and others for "failing better", as Mr.

Get organizational results by nurturing commitment, integrity, and transparency
A healthy corporate culture is the secret to an organization's performance. The good news is that employees already embody the values needed to propel the organization to its goals, but institutional roadblocks get in the way. All too often leaders don't know how to diagnose their culture in order to clear these roadblocks to performance. The 3 Power Values presents a breakthrough model that permits leaders to measure and manage culture. To create a fully aligned high-performing culture, leaders need only focus on nurturing three catalyst values: Commitment, Integrity, and Transparency.
The 3 Power Values offers leaders at all levels a unique and accessible approach to identifying the behavioral challenges that are hindering their corporate culture and to removing them effectively.

    Words to Live By
Great read and applicable in every business....... Excellent business case examples of how Commitment, Integrity and Transparency impact not only our business lives but personal as well.
How meet the challenge of getting organizational constants and variables in proper alignment
In Leading Change, James O'Toole suggests that most change initiatives either fail or fall far short of original expectations because of cultural resistance that results from what he so aptly characterizes as "the ideology of comfort and the tyranny of custom." David Gebler agrees (as do I) and notes, "Classical social psychology has always had insights into how to create an effective and high-performing culture. There is plenty of information on this topic but not many strategies for organizing the data so a leader can develop a coherent plan."
In this book, Gebler offers a workable model of culture that can help his reader to change how people go about their work in the given organization. "I have learned that employees already embody the values needed to create a high-performing culture. Leaders do not have to create a culture. They just need to get out of the way of their people creating one naturally." This reminds me of what Keith Murnighan has in mind in Do Nothing! How to Stop Overmanaging and Become a Great Leader when emphatically recommending that leaders literally do less so that others can do more...and do it better as they "learn by doing" rather than by admonition or passive observation. "In other words," Murnighan suggests, "stop working and start leading."
Gebler has found that every organization has key levers that managers can use to influence the behaviors that drive culture. "Behaviors associated with three values - commitment, integrity, and transparency - remove the behavior-based roadblocks that keep people from being able to live their values at work.

    A Must Buy.......
Alot of Great Information, was very happy with this book.
    Five Stars
    I would purchase this again.
    Big Disappointment
I was very disappointed with this book. The first hundred pages repeated itself. It talked about credit checks on the customer and the importance of creating a credit policy. I work in collections and I need some helpful hints on how to collect money on past due accounts. There was maybe a total of 5 whole pages throughout the second half of the book that pertained to collecting on past due accounts and it wasn't very helpful; be respectful, be knowledgeable about the customers account, smile, focus, and things like that. Nothing really concrete on how to get the money.
This is the prescription for How to Get Paid
Book Review: The Guide to Getting Paid by Michelle Dunn
    By Robert G Lasher
Collecting money, especially from people with serious financial difficulties, is a skilled and complex art form. It is a practiced, disciplined set of communications and negotiating skills requiring a backbone of steel, helped by an empathetic heart. A creative thinking, results oriented problem solver who does not mind thinking "outside the box" can turn what seems like an irresolvable mess into a workable, profitable solution.
As big banks and auto companies get bailed out, and people across the country walk away from under water mortgages without apparent consequences, as whole countries, including the USA, toy with the idea of defaulting on their financial obligations, the risk of extending credit anywhere, under any terms is becoming higher and higher. If you own a business, large or small, and you offer credit to promote increased sales, you need to be out front on this.

    Publisher's Summary:
From Workplace to Playspace is about visionary, courageous, innovative, and persistent organizations that challenge long-held preconceptions about the incompatibility of workplace and playspace. Each day organizations across industries and with wide-ranging missions are discovering that playspace is the space they can and must create every day at work if they are to think creatively, question old assumptions, respond effectively to the unexpected, and engage all to work at the top of their talent.
Filled with case examples from such organizations as Learning Curve International, Google, Chicago Public Schools, Umpqua Bank, and Threadless, the author provides both the conceptual framework and the principles to guide practitioners to create playspace for innovating, learning and changing in their organizations.

A guide for the company 2.0
After I met the author and listened to one of her keynotes, I was very excited to get my hands on the book and with high expectations, I started to read. Not only did she fully deliver but she managed to exceed my presumptions.
What I like about this book is that it is an easy read where you don't have to have studied psychology and hold an MBA degree to understand what the concepts are and to utilize the rich knowledge provided by the author. Meyer introduces her research findings with real life examples of various companies which have incorporated the concepts of their own version of "Playspace" - with outstanding results.
Meyer connects the dots to make a solid business case and explains in detail how to enable people to be creative and experience a mind shift, transforming their workplace into a true "Playspace".
Another wonderful asset of this book is that different roles are addressed (from facilitator, to participant to decision maker) with various tips and background knowledge.
Meyer shows with this book that a change in the way we work does not necessarily have to come from management, but everybody can make a change and get the ball rolling.
In times where many companies are facing cut-backs and a difficult economic situation, this is the right book how to not only make best use of the creative energy but also to create an environment where people like to work in.
What the world needs now. . .is Playspace!
Meyer is on to something profound, yet simple, and ultimately timely with Playspace. Her concept is based upon years of research and proves a return on investment for individuals, teams and organizations who invest in the model and who find and leverage places where Playspace is already happening. If we can get more people to recognize and embrace the model Meyer defines, the more places we can find and create Playspace experiences, the more innovative we will be as a culture. Instead of just striving for "learning organizations," I believe we must become learning individuals, learning teams and create a culture of innovation and engagement in our communities, states and countries.
