loved it!
I loved this book but it was too short!! I want more! Jackson thinks he is not good enough for Portia. He loves her but cannot believe that she loves him. Portia wants him. She wants to have sex with him. She arranges a menage with another girl and Jackson. It sort of releases his strange feelings for her. Then she gets attacked by a crazy ex customer of the Sugar House. Jackson was not there to protect her. Will they get past it and be all that they can be?

PROTECTING PORTIA by Pavarti K Tyler is the 2nd novella in The Sugar House series and it is not one to be missed. The writing is clean, sexy and downright hot as Hadies. I was surprised on how fast I picked up on the story line and how easy it was to follow what was happening with all the characters since I had not read the 1st novella SUGAR and SALT.
Jackson and Protia are the perfect blend of brokenness and strength. I found it refreshing to read about such strength in people that should be completely broken. What was most surprising was that the weak one in the relationship was not really who I thought it to be. Inner strength and finding the truth in the reality of the situation was a fun exploration.
PROTECTING PROTIA is a great read that I would most defiantly recommend. It is erotica and contains lots of different scenarios including F/F/M. The only thing I found wrong with PROTECTING PORTIA is that I wanted more from all the storylines. I will most defiantly pick up the 3rd book in the series due out later this year.

More than just sex
Protecting Portia is the second book in the Sugarhouse trilogy. The series is a true trilogy in the sense that the story continues throughout the three books, but each book places a slight emphasis on two of the characters. As I hadnât read the first book, it was a bit difficult to get into Protecting Portia. There are numerous characters and several storylines through each other. The book is very well written and that kept me going. Although the book is advertised as erotica, itâs not as explicit as most erotica is. The author concentrates on the feelings of the characters instead of the actual physical act of sex. There are definitely graphic sex scenes but the author writes these scenes is a classier manner than most erotica writers.
Tyler also deals with the horrific things that happened to the characters in the past in a dignified manner.
