Passion Not Pornography

Miranda Liasson prefects the art of writing passion in This Loving Feeling. With strong, believable characters ( Difficult to do when one is a rock-star.) the author didn't descend into the old "throw in another sex scene" to sell the book. This bad-boy turned good plot works on so many levels.

I especially love an audio book narrator who makes me forget there's only one performer.

over the top with lots of cheese

the plot was unrealistic and at times hard to believe. what up and coming rock star would turn down an opportunity to tour with the rolling Stones? what loving girlfriend would expect him to? I listened to this book and the voice actor seriously annoyed me often with her voice inflections, frequent hesitations and stutters. I would never have read in my mind the way she read things out loud. also, many of the characters in the book were one dimensional like the interfering grandmother, the stereotypical selfish boyfriend, the honorary Greek grandmother, etc. everything and everybody wrapped up nice and neat in the end. I was waiting for people to start farting rainbows. I'm all for a happy ending, but prefer large doses of reality in modern romantic fiction.

Always take the Dare!

Amazing listen! A great book by Rebecca Shea. There are some deliciously steamy scenes (#HowHotIsHolt), but the love story is so much deeper than I expected. I loved both of the narrators, but I liked listening to Saige the most. She put so much emotion and feeling into the story. I will definitely be listening to more books narrated by Kas Vadim and Savannah Peachwood!

THIS WAS SO SO MUCH MORE THAN I DARED HOPE FOR

Saige is still carrying the heartbreak and memories of a tragedy that happened to her when she was a naive and tender 13 yr old celebrating her birthday (nothing sexual but very emotional) and the drama of that day has now built an impenetrable wall around her heart. Fast-forward 10 years - she still has constant nightmares about that day which forces her to re-live everything but now she's a successful Interior Designer for a prestigious Company that custom designs mega-rich client's every whims and desires for their tailor made jets. Saige is good at her job and loves it - along with the friendship, support and banter that she gets from her small tight group of co-workers. However, celebrating with them in a Bar one night, leads to a game of Truth or Dare that will bring her happiness, joy, passion, sexual bliss and a relationship that, brick-by-brick, slowly reveals her heart once more. The first thing I noticed about this awesome listen was the many detailed colorful descriptions which gave clarity to each of the scenes and brought them to life. Saige is a strong yet vulnerable heroine and likeable too, Holt is perfection.... he's not a womanizer or an arrogant ass - instead he's EVERYTHING you hope for in a drool-worthy hero and the array of secondary characters adds humor, light and fun to the listen. Their chemistry was instant and the sex wasn't far behind but I've got no complaints with the 'insta' relationship here because it left a lot of room for the relationship to blossom and character development and for them to reach the boundaries to Saige's heart which no man has ever crossed. It also left room for tender, sweet and touching times that you know, along with Holt, that there will be a reckoning when the big secret is out and things will inevitably come crashing down around them.

Healing power of an Outer Banks vacation!

Summer by the Sea by Jenny Hale is a contemporary romance ideal for a summer vacation. This story revolves around Faith and her sister Casey who haven't seen each other in about 10 years. They reunite to help celebrate their grandmother's 90th birthday at the beach house they used to frequent as children in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. The rift between Faith and Casey started when Casey ended up falling in love with and marrying the man Faith thought was the man of her dreams.

Faith, now a successful kindergarten teacher, is finally ready to put the past behind them, especially after meeting Jake at the beach house. Jake, who has emotional baggage of his own, is a local developer and the owner of the beach house. Like in the movie Pretty Woman, Jake makes several grand gestures that only money can buy (e.g., he flies Faith down to Key West on his private jet for one fantastic day), but it's not enough for Faith who wants Jake to be true to his real self. While Jake is extremely likable when he's being himself, I found the characters pretty one-dimensional and the story a bit repetitive. There is also not much plot, other than the "does he like me, or does he not" romance between Faith and Jake and the rift between the two sisters.

I listened to the Audible version of this story narrated by Teri Schnaubelt who did an outstanding job. Her narration flows naturally at an even pace and she was easy to listen to. She has differing voices for all characters, male and female, and young and old. Simply put, Teri's rendition substantially contributed to my enjoyment of this story and the increase in the overall rating reflects it.

Another fabulous escape to Hope harbor

Working days are so much better with books like these in the Hope Harbor a series to listen to during the drive!

Narration is a huge selling point that meshes perfectly with Irene Hamon's masterful writing. It's like being there; smelling the salt air, feeling the dampness of the fog banks and tasting Charlie's tacos! Wonderful series! Don't miss it!!!!

Sea Rose Lane Doesn't Disappoint

The second novel in the Hope Harbor series is a sweet tale of finding love and happiness through letting go of preconceived notions of who we should be and what we should do. In classic Hannon style, the characters are richly developed with easily relatable flaws. I find Hannon's work a comforting read that I can enjoy again and again!

Not my cuppa tea

It was just way too sappy for me. I love romance and some mystery and action. But I couldn't's stand all the mushy stuff that kept coming out of there mouths. And in the beginning it was like they hated each other and she always talked so nasty to him. Then boom there in love. Not something I would listen to again.

The first and second book in this series are far superior to this one. This one was more sweet and less intense. Not horrible but it didn't live up to the reputation of the first two. I might return it.

SWEET LOVE STORY, ENJOYABLE ROMANCE & VERY HOT

What a great addition to the series where The Wicked Horse Bar is really a front for the secret Sex Club called The Silo where kinky f'kery happens, where anything and everything goes, fantasies are fulfilled and you can have your every sexual whim met.... no matter what it is. Rand is a Tattoo Artist but, in his spare time, he's a Fantasy Maker at The Silo... and the handsome tattooed sex God loves to get involved in anyway he can. There's been a beautiful Member called Catherine who regularly frequents the Club with her elderly Billionaire wheelchair bound husband who just eagerly watches her and Rand has happily 'indulged' himself with Cat a time or two.

However, when he sees Cat asleep in her car after her most energetic and debauched night so far - Rand becomes worried, her husband has recently died, and he can clearly see that things are bad for Cat. There is always hope if you let it in.

Easy is still trying to deal with losing his leg, seeing a beautiful bartender go to the bathroom after finding out the girl he was dating made fun of him because of the loss of his leg , he has a little fun in the bathroom with the bartender. Daisy wants Easy but he wont let her in otger than sex. Can she get through to him in time or will she give up

Easy .... Wasn't Easy!

Great series, which I've enjoyed; however, Easy's story is my least favorite so far.

Throughout the series, Easy's has moments where he cannot deal with losing part of his leg, and lashes out to everyone around him. Then there are times, he can very witty, funny and helpful, so I was not sure what to expect from this character's story. Easy's character externalized his inner anger and insecurities and took them out on Daisy and the others. I didn't really care for the first time these two hooked up, and how he used her. He did eventually come to terms with his new life, and was patient while he tried to convince Daisy he wanted something with her (even if this part of the story felt rushed.)

Daisy's character was awesome! I loved her spunk, wit and her teasing personality with everyone. The banter between her and Milo was hilarious! Even though this story is short, the characters are further developed. I liked how Slick, Vegas, and Tildy excepted Daisy and brought her into their family from the beginning.

Mason Lloyd, as usual, does an awesome job narrating the story! I've really enjoyed his performance, and how he portrays the characters throughout the series.

Overall, a really good MC romance series, where each book further develops the characters and world building.

Great book worth the credit!!

You may think that this is just another one of those rich guy shows innocent girl "the ropes" books so common today. You would be wrong. Initially introduced to readers as the "book within the book" in a book in the Escape to New Zealand series, Just in Time, the story can be read as a stand alone and thoroughly enjoyed without knowing any background. However, for fans of the NZ series, it's like watching the heroine of Just in Time (Faith, the fictional "author" of Fierce) fall in love with Will all over again in this book as she works through her feelings by writing a love story. Once again, Rosalind James has given her readers with a little extra gift while crafting an engaging tale that also stands on its own.

Leaving Will and Faith behind in their book, this story of Hemi, Maori multimillionaire who only has arrangements, and Hope, sweet yet strong, quickly moves from that common trope into a story with depth and many layers. The conflicts are not simple and the work and life situations are not simple. Although it is told in first person and has a lot sexual situations, I don't think this book could be characterized as erotic romance. In erotic romance, the sex typically moves the story forward. In this case (because this is what this author does so well), the emotional connection moves the story forward and the very hot sex scenes are the result of that.

If you are a fan of erotic romance, I think you would find this a satisfying read because it delivers on the promise of that genre. The bonus is that it delivers so much more.

As a narrator, Claire Bocking has spoiled me for anyone else. She is amazing. I don't know what else to say about her, other than she nails it every time.

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT.. HEA BUT PART I OF A TRILOGY

What an enjoyable, well written and wonderfully narrated book this was as Hemi Te Mana, the handsome, charismatic and filthy rich fashion tycoon, finds his very own virginal Cinderella when he meets Hope Sinclair. But, because of past painful personal issues, Hemi has absolutely no intentions of a) getting emotionally involved, b) opening up to her, c) letting her in.. and never d) keeping her.
