I've already read these books by Rosalind James before and it was amazing to hear them brought to life! The accents were awesome, and hearing words pronounced correctly will change the way I read books that take place in New Zealand from now on!

I am a huge fan of Rosalind James and her Escape to New Zealand series. I have read all of the book in the series. This was my first time listening to any of them on Audible. How amazing that it was three books in a set, not just one! Claire Bocking brings to life books 4-6 in this series. The country of New Zealand comes to life, along with the voices of each character. Each book had its own unique sound and could stand alone on its own, but together as a set they are even better. There are children that are central characters in two of these books and Claire is able to narrate their voices without sounding like a condescending adult. I did wonder how the steam factor of some of the scenes would translate to narration, but I wasn't disappointed. I think you need to listen for yourself and come to your own judgement.

I am so impressed with the narration of these books. I am going to have to go and listen to more in the series, even though I have already read the books in print!

Book 3.5 Believe - Brad & Amanda gave us Meagan

I loved that this one is different from the rest but not. Haha that doesnt make sense but if you read it, well then it will.

I had so many feel, I teared up my heart was so full and I was scared. Yep I had all the feels.

This book really brings you everything. I think I liked that Meagan and Gray had this history already, and that they had to trust in each other.

I loved that Gray wasnt this Prince Charming but he has flaws and he has to work through them. And Meagan had to let him. There was drama sure but it wasnt overly dramatic. It was enough to keep you hooked.

I left off at a pretty good spot last night and continued this morning only to find myself in tears. Kelly really brought out the emotion with this one. And it was shocking and sad and you heart will hurt for all the characters involved.

I lovvvvved the end so very much it was the perfect ending and I can tell you this is my favorite of all the books so far. But you never know maybe Taylors story will end up being my favorite I guess we will see.

Erin and Stephen again wow. I am in awe at how each book doesnt bleed together and how each character really does feel like they have their own voice. Thats a gift, not all narrators can pull off and these two have it.

Good Girl! Bad Boy Biker! The Perfect Match!

Another Awesome, Exciting, Suspenseful story in the Burnout series! Full of Drama, and Sexual Tension with a plot that's more comparable to the first story in the series! The best part; this story builds on the two previous stories, and has a strong presence of the entire Burnout crew and plenty of their joking and banter. I love this series and characters!

Some spoilers/teasers:

The huge and sexy Hawk Red Cloud does not do second dates or even sleeps with the same women twicewell most times, and that's just how he likes it. He's polite, and kind to women, but he's not looking for a long time commitment. His inability to commit to any long-term relationship is due to deep rooted reasons.

Hawk runs into the sweet and innocent Tildy at a convenient store, and offers to assist her when her car brakes down in the parking lot. He's the perfect gentleman, calls in a tow truck, and takes her to the Burnout mechanic shop where Shooter looks over the car and orders the part. Hawk's definitely interested in a one night stand and invites her to Maria's. However, he soon changes his mind when he learns she may not be playing with a "full deck." He may have changed his mind about bedding her but after learning more about her, he definitely wants to be a real friend to her.

Tildy is the perfect rich daughter.. well at least she tries. She's learned to never argue, do as she is told, and accept what her parents want for her. This is how she has always been until the faithful day she meets Hawk and receives a "sign" they are meant to be together. Since meeting Hawk, Tildy slowly learns to go after what she wants; however, trouble soon follows her, and Hawk starts to see red.

While Hawk and Tildy's relationship is the main plot, there is a heart wrenching subplot with Shooter and Slick.

I recommend this series even with it's ups and downs. No character is perfect, they all have their flaws but each are lovable in their own way. Looking forward to Easy's story!

SADLY THIS SERIES HAS FIZZLED & BURNT OUT FOR ME

Writing a review for a book that's just been an 'ok' lukewarm listen is so difficult - there were parts I liked and parts I didn't.... but sadly, there were no parts that wowed me. Hawk is a handsome 'one an done' alpha Sioux hero and he's happy that way until a tiny naive virgin called Tildy slowly penetrates his carefully erected walls. Tildy comes from wealth and arranged marriages and never questioned, disrespected or broke any of the rules or demands that her controlling parents forced on her... it was just the expected way of things.

A great listen!

I love hockey player books !! The men are always sooo HOT and Hawke was no exception! I also love second chance romances so win win for me! I really enjoyed this story - Hawke and Vale were so perfect together yet both had to get over their past mistakes to move on.

Loved this!

Listening to this 5th audiobook in the Cold Fury hockey series was so entertaining! The hero, Hawke, is a defensive player for the Cold Fury. He's a guy who sleeps casually with women and likes to go out for beers with the guys. But it wasn't always this way, as before starting his Pro hockey career he was deeply in love with a girl named Vale. She broke up with him the night before he left for his first real job and he's been hurt and bewildered ever since. Now suddenly Vale is back in his life working as a trainer for his team and his life gets tilted off his axis. Vale had her reasons for breaking things off, serious reasons, but she was really young seven years ago when it happened. Now Hawke and Vale have to try to build a friendly relationship, complicated by the reason she's in Raleigh to begin with- her dad has brain cancer and is there for treatment. In the course of things, truths come out and both have to decide if they can forgive. Great narration!

Fun series.

I've really enjoyed this series. Well written and real characters. I hope that there will be more.

You Can Judge This Book by Its Cover

Yep, the cover says it all. Sexy super-ripped hunk with the dragon tattoo. Romantic fantasy, heavy on graphic eroticism. Listen with the lights dimmed and your earbuds in.

If anyone had told me a couple of years ago that Id ever enjoy this kind of book, Id have laughed at them. But advancing middle age does strange things to a womans taste. First Loretta Chase got me hooked on her semierotic historicals. Then Audible put Kresley Coles immortals after dark series of paranormal demiporn on sale, and wham-bam thank you Kresley! Im ashamed to show anyone my ITunes audiobooks page anymore!

So this one is a modern setting, no paranormal stuff (but a fair amount of fantasy if you look at it one way). Knox Callahan and his brother North are serving time in Devils Rock, a maximum-security prison, for murder (they went after the scumbag who raped their 16-year-old cousin and things got out of hand). Briar is a nurse helping out one of the doctors from the practice she works for (I though it was a nice touch that her motive wasnt altruism but a desire for a promotion). Knox and Briar are both all chained up, she emotionally and he both physically and emotionally. Neither of them has had sex in a loooong time.

Knox gets beaten up in a dining room brawl over a stolen biscuit. Briar examines his injuries. Instant Electricity! Knox heroically rescues the infirmary staff. He gets parole. Months pass. Knox and Briar meet by chance. They get together. They have sex. A lot of sex. They both think its just great sex. Until they both realize theyd like it to be more, but each is afraid to tell the other. Misunderstandings and breakups ensue before the happy resolution.

Pretty standard romance plot line. I think there are 4 basic ingredients to making this kind of story a tasty dish for the target audience:

(1) the hero has to be interesting, attractive, and arousing. Knox scores a 10 (maybe a 12).

(2) the reader has to like/admire/identify with the heroine. For me Briar started low on this score, but halfway through shed won me over to at least an 8.

(3) the writing has to be at least clear and engaging, with some humor and common sense. Sophie Jordan is much better than at least, shes very good.

(4) the narrator has to be able to pull it off. In my opinion, Christian Fox is as good as Robert Petkoff (narrator of the Immortals After Dark books), and thats as good as it gets. Some may wonder why characters born and raised in the west Texas badlands have zero Texas accent.

I loved this book! She definitely did NOT disappoint her fans with this one!

Real as Texas

This book resonates with me for various reasons. I was born in Limestone County, Texas, and am familiar with landscapes mentioned in the story-the blue bonnets in the spring and rolling hills. I've lived either in Waco or within 20 miles of Waco all my life and enjoyed trying to decide the locale of the ranch 80 miles from Dallas. I am a quilter and had to laugh at the man who commented he had never "seen a person with 4 sewing machines," as I have 3 Berninas and at least 8 Featherweights. The technical aspect rang true as did the motives and intentions of the quilters: no quilter can ever have too much fabric!!!! The story itself brought angst, anger, fear, joy and elation- a gauntlet of emotions that, thankfully, ended on a high note.

A sweet, priceless romance...

This book is pretty good. It's a love story about a football player and a doctor who is caring for a boy that needs a bone marrow transplant. It is sweet, loving and generous. The football player, Mark Carlton is the type of guy we all hope to meet. I really like the doctor too. Beth Browning, DR is a kind, loving DR who treats this boy like he is the only one that matters.

The author, Sherryl Woods did a good job on this book. I liked the story-line especially. I love happy endings when it comes to cancer. The narrator, Teri Schnaubelt delivers another perfect narration, complete with multiple voice, emotions and accents. I love listening to her voice.

I received this audio book as a gift. This is my honest review.

Yes, after the first book of this series I practically added every title she has on Audible to my wish list. Great author with an amazing story telling ability.

I have listen to her performances throughout this series. This book wasn't her strongest performance so far. However, she still does a great job with narration. I am excited for May.

THIS IS MY NEW #1 IN THIS SERIES - LOVED IT!

Mason & Mia were hilarious and sexy, as is the clear standard for the books in this series. What I'm enjoying the most about these stories is that each one is different but there are some consistent themes that are giving me a lot of hope for what might happen by the end of the year. Well written, with great narration, although the accents could use some work, overall, these books catch my ears and heart on fire with every chapter!

WHY?

Why did Wes have to do it? I know it was going to happen when she was announced as the star. But he broke man code to let her answer his phone. I still want Mia and Wes together.

Laughing Out Loud is an understatement

What made the experience of listening to Shopping for a Billionaire's Wife the most enjoyable?

This is for sure in my TOP 5 audiobooks in the Rom Com genre. What made this experience most enjoyable is Julia Kent`s quick wit and flawless writing, partner that up with a talent like Tanya Eby and then you have a situation. And that situation is people staring at you because you're laughing uncontrollably while you're either in your car stuck in traffic, or going for your morning/afternoon get fit walk.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Shannon, OMG she is hilarious but then again they all are.

Far to many, I`m sorry I can`t pick just one I loved the whole book let alone the series

I've read all the Shopping for a Billionaire Series but this is my first audiobook, I`ll be purchasing the next one for sure. It would be great if Julia could bundle up the first 4 audiobooks as she did the book boxset. As they are a shorter in listening time, I would purchase them if they come in a set

Wow! This author is amazing! Another LOL romantic comedy!

I'm not sure how she does it but my family probably thinks I'm nutty when I listen to this series. I have my earbuds on and all they see is me Walking around laughing all the time! I love Julia Kent sense of humor! She is awesome!

Narration is always on point with Tanya Eby. She really has a talent for narration! I absolutely love her as well. Her narration is always flawless.

The story continues now back to Shannon and Declan fleeing their elaborate wedding put together by Momzilla. They all head to Vegas and the conclusion is awesome! It is a bit of a cliffhanger for Andrew, Amanda, Josh, and the driver! You just have to read it to find out! The whole series is awesome! Start a book 1 though. You do not want to miss this series. Definitely one of my favorite!

Shannon and Declan finally tie the knot, but NOT, without bumps and detours along the way.... if your following this series... then you'll continue to love this one.... Marie and Jason have a very touching moment, Andrew and Amanda get very close. The wedding of the century goes cross country and high dollar! As you know, anything and everything happens here....

Second Book Better Than First

I enjoyed the second book in this series more than the first. The characters are more developed, and the secondary characters add dimension to the story. The main characters' families are a great addition. It's a sweet Christmas romance but is best as part of the full series. Narration is good and since this book is even better than the first, I'll keep reading the series.

Okay

This was a sweet story. However, it was nothing special. I felt like the story was not developed properly. It took too long for Andrew and Jenna to get together. I got his reason while he was younger, but he reasons while they were now adults was a little u necessarily drawn out in the book. The ending was too long. I felt like the author needed to end it at the New Years part, but she continued just to set the reader up for the next book which I felt too away from the story.

Not as good as the others!

The story was just ok. To me it was boring compared the the first. I did not like the narrator either. The way she pronounced her words was very annoying to me.
