Stay Here Tonight

A beautiful story about two women coming together despite a boatload of baggage on one end. The interactions between Lydia and Maxine kept me reading, although I felt honestly it was a little too short, but minor complaints. Still 5 stars, and I'm happy to have read it.

Always a good read with this author...

I just love all of Ms. Dane's books. This one is no exception. Great story and development and a slightly faster wrap up but still a great read.

Lydia Kellerman is a receptionist for an LGBT Charity. Every couple of days her fantasy comes to the office. Maxine Woodward is very rich and gorgeous. Lydia doesn't thinks Maxine knows she's alive.

Maxine is recovering from her divorce and for the last couple months she has been a one woman sex machine. But there is no love no spending the night with her.

Maxine ' s ex wife Penelope loves to stir up trouble so she is spreading rumors that Maxine is abusive, and that is the far from the true. The truth is she the wacko.

This story starts out as a one night stand and quickly turns out to be more. I voluntarily agreed to read this advanced copy. I would give it 4/5 stars . There is really nothing wrong but with my taste in stories. This is well written and loved to favorite characters from other books are mentioned here . Loved it!!

Laughed so many times I lost count. Layce's narration was hysterical. Well worth the listen!

Outstanding

This is one book you should buy right now.

it is so deep, heartfelt, and a tear jerker, you just want to reach out and hold both Lee and Vivian.

Ok, so that's just the read between the line emotions. What your gonna get on the surface is a dark comical laugh out loud rollercoaster . What a dynamic Journey these two ladies go through. You will not be able to walk away from them once you enter their world.

Lacye Gardner did an amazing job narrating every moment in her characters life. There wasn't a moment I didn't feel engaged, or connected to Lee and Vivian. When Lee was hurting I felt the pain and saw the underlining issues coming to the surface. like the big elephant in the room. Lee identifies as a Lesbian.. However sleeps with several men. in my opinion she did it out of boredom, hurt feelings, and maybe a part of her was seeking attention. who knows.. I've actually known women who yes were lesbians not bi do this. so I respect Lacye for bring the issue to the surface.

So take the time listen or read this book. disect it and really feel what these two ladies are going through, and what triumphs they accomplish together.

If you could sum up Legal Tender in three words, what would they be?

Amazing, Sweet, touching

What was one of the most memorable moments of Legal Tender?

That's a hard one since the whole book is. But I think Timothy and Joiner's first lovemaking.After all Timothy had been through and how sweet and touching Joiner is and gentle you could feel the love without them saying it.

Which character as performed by John Solo was your favorite?

Timothy with Joiner a close second. Timothy is so sweet and Joiner is so sexy.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A heartwarming story of keeping a family legacy.

Legal Tender is the fourth book in this series but each stands alone fine. I think this is my favorite in this series. I loved all of the characters and the storyline is so touching. It was nice to see Dieter and Gerald again and also Brian. I loved Timothy because he is kind, noble and deserved his legacy. This was a favorite because like the first book Timothy is fighting for a family heirloom that is controversial but he wants it not for the monetary value but because it was his grandad's the only person he felt loved him until he meets Joiner.

If you loved well-developed characters, motorcycle designers, lawyers, a touch of suspense and a beautiful love story with some sweet and hot man-sex you will love this. I highly recommend it!

Great Story Narrated Beautifully By John Solo

Knowing how wildly popular Andrew Grey is Ive been looking for a title to start with, and I picked well with Legal Tender. I was in the mood for something sweet and comforting and this one fit the bill perfectly.

I dont know what I enjoyed more, Greys adorable story or the soothing tones of John Solos narration.

I wasnt expecting to learn so much about the history of the Double Eagle coin, or to also get such an interesting legal story, but it just goes to show that Andrew Greys reputation as an excellent writer is well deserved.

Since this is the first Ive read of this series I can attest to the fact these books can be enjoyed out of order. Clearly there are characters from the prior books, but Grey explains their relationships and I didnt feel like there were gaps or that I was missing anything.

The pace of the story flows beautifully beginning with some charming reminiscences from the main character, Timothy, about his grandfather.

This is a very moving story that touches on depression and involves favourite characters from previous books. Kian has laid this out beautifully and Alexander Collins has portrayed each character perfectly and it's a pleasure to listen to his voice. I am excitedly waiting for the next book.

Sexy and romantic & the voice performance is great

I read this as an ebook just over a year ago when it first came out. When Ms. Perry asked if I'd like to review the audio I jumped at the chance. Below is my original review with some added thoughts for the narration.

I very much enjoyed Tod Scott's performance of this book. I love the different voices he did for each character. I will be looking for more narrations by him.

Our Secret Wedding:

The friends-to-lovers trope is one of my favorites whether it be M/M, M/F or any other combination.

Connor and Lee were friends in school and now Lee works for the company owned by Connors father. One night Connor sees Lee kissing another man and that changed everything for him. Hes had feelings for Lee for a long time that go beyond friendship but he always thought that Lee is straight. Hes also been perfectly happy dating women but considers himself bi-sexual.

After Connor sees the kiss everything changes for him and he knows that he wants to pursue Lee as more than a friend. He doesnt go about it in quite the right way, though and it puts Lee off. Connor begs for the chance to start over and thus begins his courtship of Lee.

The romance between Connor and Lee is slow to build Lee cant believe that Connor is doing anything other than experimenting but once things take off there is a lot of heat and hot, sexy time! Connor is such a romantic man! He plans a big surprise for Lee and it turns out wonderful.

I really enjoyed reading this. I felt like there was a real connection between Connor and Lee and I loved following the development of their feelings for each other.

Our Secret Christmas:

I loved this "bonus" story about Connor and Lee. This story takes place during the same time frame as Our Secret Wedding but contains scenes that weren't in the original story. It's kind of a "behind the scenes" for what happened in Our Secret Wedding.

What can I say? I've read this book a half dozen times before the audio book came out and I'll listen to it a half dozen more at least now that Hollie can read it to me. I love Amber and Kylie's relationship and how they interact with each other and help each other be better people. I also adore Hollies voice and I'm glad to have another lesbian romance with her narrating. I love how she can do so many characters and switch back and forth so seamlessly. I highly recommend any books by Erik Schubach and anything read by Hollie.

What made the experience of listening to Syncopated Rhythm the most enjoyable?

Driving around while delivering packages made it awesome? But seriously, the worldbuilding (first book of the Music of The Soul series for me). I enjoyed all the characters and the closeness and slow build of the romance between the leads!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really liked Kylee... reminded me of myself in a way, sweet but overly cautious of others... WHERE SHE WOULD GET IN HER WAY *facepalms*

Have you listened to any of Hollie Jacksons other performances before? How does this one compare?

I LOVE Hollie Jackson, her voice always works so well with Erik's stories! She has a way of reading the characters where you can actually tell the differences between them all.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Lovely story. I loved the characters

This was so good. I wanted to read it, it seem like a nice story but Im not much of a FF reader so I wasnt expecting to liked it as much as I did. Amber and Kylee were so lovely. It might be part of a series but it worked perfectly as a stand-alone.

I listen to the audiobook. It had a nice steady pace. I loved the characters, they both were nice but Ambers insecurities seem so relatable that she became my favorite. It wasnt as if Kylee was so self-assure. She had issues too, but there was some charm in Amber that got my attention.

The plot was fine. It was a very enjoyable story. I also liked some of the secondary characters and how sweetly the romance was manage. Amber and Kylee were so adorable together, they made such a nice couple.

The narration had some ups and downs for me. There were times when I wasnt sure which of them were talking, which made things a little confusing. But I did liked the way the narrators voice sound so happy at times, it was really easy to connect emotions based on the way the book was narrated.

I love these books. The stories will have you feeling everything. I love the narrator. She makes the characters pop out in the stories.

I loved Syncopated Rhythm. I've read the book several times. Love the story. Popular rock star meets music video intern and off we go. Hollie Jackson does a great job with the narration. PLEASE do Water Gypsy on audio next.

This is yet another great book.

quirky characters, cute love story, and great narration as expected. We need a sequel to this book.

The story was very funny. It had several LOL moments. The narrator did a great job.

Fun Story, Great Narration

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this. The story is hilarious and entertaining and the narration was thoroughly enjoyable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Big Love?

There were lots of laugh-out-loud moments, but the 'je ne sais quoi' routine was classic. I had to stop the book until I finished laughing so I didn't miss anything.

What about Layce Gardners performance did you like?

I am usually leery of authors reading their own books. Having heard Gardner read excerpts before, however, I was cautiously optimistic about this full-length narration. While Gardner was briefly a little stiff at the beginning, she quickly relaxed into the reading and did a wonderful job. The different characters' voices were easily identifiable; Zing's voice was perfect. Gardner ably captured Zing's naiveté and exuberance. It's clear that Gardner's previous acting experience made her a skilled narrator of her own work.It was a real treat to hear how she envisioned her characters and what they must sound like in her own head.

Funny

I enjoyed the story. It was great for my road trip. My favorite parts were the several great laugh out loud moments!

Adorable and funny

This was a very enjoyable read. I actually laughed out loud during a few parts. My only complaint would be the lack of an actual love scene, but the plot was engaging enough for that to be forgiven. Definitely worth reading, many times over.

No glaring typos or editing issues. I didn't like the misogyny, however - gay doesn't equal hatred of women. The plot was a tired trope, the characters flat, the dialogue predictable.
