A common definition of resilience is the ability to cope with and recover from setbacks. People who can remain calm in the face of disaster have resilience, and people with psychological resilience (i.e. growth mindset) are able to use their skills, strengths and tools to respond to life's challenges, which can include those related to: Death of a loved one (i.e. during the pandemic); divorce; financial issues; illness; job loss; medical emergencies and natural disasters.
In this Episode, Dr BB shares with her audience one young lady's inspirational resilient story. Her story shows us not to fall into despair or hide from issues by facing life's difficulties head-on.
Dr BB also emphasizes that people with resilience do not experience less distress, greif, or fear than other people do. The key is to use healthy coping skills and healthy mindset she introduces as the "growth mindset" to handle life's challenges in ways that foster strength and personal growth. Hence, these resilient people emerge stronger than they were before.
Who can deny the opporunity to boost resilience, right? So, come join Dr BB to have a listen, share, subscribe and review this Episode.
