    0:00 Introduction: Benfotiamine explained

    0:10 What is benfotiamine?
    0:40 What does benfotiamine do?
    2:30 Benfotiamine for diabetes
9:54 Learn more about the best diet for diabetes!

Let’s talk about benfotiamine. Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1. Vitamin B1 (thiamine) is normally water-soluble, but a fat-soluble version has several advantages.

Fat-soluble vitamin B1 can penetrate membranes made out of fat much easier. This is one reason why benfotiamine is so good for neurological issues.

Benfotiamine helps inhibit the formation of AGEs (advanced glycation end products). AGEs can lead to a myriad of issues, but benfotiamine is a potent antioxidant-type nutrient that inhibits the formation of glycation.

Benfotiamine also supports the myelin sheath and is needed for several enzymes in the mitochondria. If your cells don’t have B1, all kinds of issues can occur. Many of the complications of diabetes occur because of a lack of vitamin B1.

Benfotiamine is especially important for people with diabetes. It targets inflammation and oxidative stress and supplies the B1 you need for your enzymes and mitochondria, all while inhibiting the formation of glycation. It also helps increase the number of mitochondria you have, which increases ATP (the fuel for your tissues).

However, it’s also important to get on the right diet plan. Check out my other videos to learn more about the best diet for diabetes and other health concerns.

  • Easy Method to Fix Bad Circulation & Blood Flow in Your Feet and Legs

It's often thought that the heart is responsible for all your blood circulation, but is there more to it? Find out how to improve blood circulation in your legs and feet with these expert tips and simple leg circulation exercises.

Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food)

0:00 Introduction: How to improve blood circulation in legs

0:12 Problems associated with poor circulation
1:03 Improve circulation in legs and feet with infrared
    2:06 Potassium and magnesium
    4:08 Varicose veins and circulation
4:38 Leg exercises for blood circulation
    6:13 Cold feet

Understanding the Heart by Dr. Stephen Hussey Book Link:

    https://www.amazon.com/Understanding-...

If you have poor circulation in the legs and feet, you might experience the following: edema, swelling, painful feet, and cramps in the feet and calves.

According to Dr. Stephen Hussey, author of "Understanding the Heart," the heart spins the blood, acting as a mechanism to create structured water. Similar to the way a tree pushes water up from the roots, increasing structured water throughout the circulatory system can improve circulation.

You can increase structured water in your blood with infrared. Over 50% of the sun's energy is infrared! Increasing sun exposure can help improve the circulation in your legs and your heart function.

Infrared increases nitric oxide, which supports the arteries and healthy blood pressure. Vitamin D from the sun also increases nitric oxide.

If you have edema in the feet, potassium is one of the best natural diuretics for getting rid of excess fluid. Eliminating sugar and starches from your diet can also stop fluid retention, especially in the lower extremities.

High sugar consumption depletes vitamin B1. If you’re experiencing tingling and pain in the bottom of your feet, consuming benfotiamine—a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1—may help.

Cramping in your legs and feet can also be related to a magnesium deficiency. For the best results, take 800 mg per day in the evening for several weeks. It’s also important to avoid compression socks, which can further restrict blood circulation.

Diosmin is an excellent remedy for varicose veins. If you have varicose veins, edema, or any other problems with the lower part of your body, avoid intense exercise. Instead, aim for light exercise like walking and try these simple leg circulation exercises!

What about cold feet? Cold feet are generally caused by an iodine deficiency due to a low thyroid. Sea kelp is one of the best sources of iodine.

  • We Have to Eat Bugs & Insects to Save the Planet - Dr. Berg

Are insects the sustainable food source of the future? Find out if eating bugs will save the planet.

0:00 Introduction: Should we eat bugs?

0:47 Are bugs a good alternative protein source?
    2:11 Bugs vs. beef
    2:35 Insects and pathogens
4:12 Check out my video on what you SHOULD be eating for your health!

In this video, we’re going to take a look at edible bugs as an alternative protein source. Some say that we should be eating bugs by 2050 because of the growing population. Some blame climate change or claim that beef is not sustainable and that we need to find other sources of food.

One hundred grams of bugs contains about 12 grams of protein, 5 grams of fat, and 5 grams of carbs. If we were to eat insects as food, we’d need to eat 4x to 8x this amount to get enough protein! It could become quite expensive to consume this many bugs each day.

The cost of edible insects could be lowered by lowering the quality of what they’re fed, but then the bugs will be less nutritious with less protein. Eating insects would also require people to give up their cultural and traditional foods which is not likely.

When you compare bugs to beef, insects do not come close in terms of protein or nutritional value.

Insects also carry pathogens. A 2019 study evaluated several cricket farms that were developing edible insects. Around 81% of the crickets had parasites and 30% were potentially pathogenic. There's also a higher incidence of worms, viruses, bacteria, and fungus in crickets.

If you have an allergy to shellfish, you may also have an allergy to edible insects because they contain a similar protein.

Bugs have an exoskeleton mainly composed of chitin which is an antinutrient and can not be digested by our microbiome. Chitin also blocks vitamins A and E.

    #keto #ketodiet #weightloss #ketolifestyle

Thanks for watching! I hope this increases your awareness about the reality of eating insects. I’ll see you in the next video.

14:05 Learn more about toxic kidneys!

Today we’re going to talk about how to protect your kidneys.

The kidneys can take a beating and can even regenerate. They are composed of roughly one million tiny filters, which filter your blood.

But as you age, you start losing these filters—so it becomes even more important to start eating better and decrease exposure to toxins.

The two worst things for your kidneys are sugar and oxalates. It’s crucial to stop consuming sugar and high-carb foods and to start limiting your exposure to high-oxalate foods.

However, consuming cheese or dairy with foods that are high in oxalates, but are otherwise healthy, can help counter kidney damage from oxalates.

    Foods high in oxalates:

    • Almonds
    • Spinach
    • Beet tops
    • Peanuts
    • Grains
    • Beans
    • Sweet potatoes
    • Cassava
    • Tapioca
    • Kiwi
    • Chocolate
    • Swiss chard
    • Turmeric
    • Cinnamon
    • Clove

The best ways to protect your kidneys:

    1. Consume lemon water every morning
    2. Consume apple cider vinegar mixed in water
    3. Consume 2.5 liters of water a day
    4. Avoid high-oxalate foods or add dairy to high-oxalate foods
    5. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet and do intermittent fasting
    6. Avoid fructose
    7. Avoid consuming high levels of vitamin C
    8. Consume potassium (not for end-stage kidney disease)
    9. Consume plant foods and microgreens

Sciatic nerve pain can be caused by a protruded disc, scar tissue on the nerve root, arthritis, an injury, or extended periods of sitting. Poor posture, excess driving, and aging can also contribute to the problem.

Inversion uses the weight of your upper body to pull down on your lower back, creating negative pressure and increasing blood flow. This also breaks up adhesions and scar tissue.
For the quickest lower back pain relief, try intermittent inversion traction. This involves inverting your body for 1 to 2 minutes and then repeatedly returning to an upright position. It can significantly reduce sciatic nerve pain by targeting the nerve, disc, scar tissue, and blood flow all at once.
Research has shown that inversion therapy increases flexibility, reduces the risk of surgery for sciatica, and can relieve lower back pain better than medication. If you have high blood pressure, glaucoma, or heart problems, check with your doctor before doing inversion therapy.
Start slow with inversion therapy. Begin with a gentle angle of 15–30 degrees for just 1–2 minutes, once or twice a day for the first week. Gradually work up to 5 minutes at a time (in 1-minute intervals) at a 60-degree angle over the next 1–2 weeks. After 3–4 weeks, you can try full inversion for 15–20 minutes, broken into 2-minute intervals, three to four times per week.
Intermittent inversion traction will leave you feeling taller with less sciatic nerve pain. You’ll also feel like you’ve had a fantastic stretch!
Other ways to eliminate sciatica pain include:
    •Following a low-carb ketogenic diet
•Take 20,000 to 30,000 IU of vitamin D3 and 400 mg of magnesium glycinate (include vitamin K2)
•Eliminate omega-6 seed oils from your diet
    •Perform myofascial stretching
You can also perform sciatica stretches without an inversion table! Try the child’s pose with blankets, a wall-assisted leg-up stretch, or lying spinal decompression with a stability ball for sciatic nerve pain relief. Swimming can also be very therapeutic.

    9:00 Bonus tip
10:00 Learn more about the Healthy Keto® diet!

Today I want to cover three common mistakes people make on the keto diet.

Common mistakes on keto and what to do:

    1. Consuming too much fat
Eating more fat doesn’t get you deeper into ketosis—lowering your carbs does.
    • Don’t consume extra fat unless you’re new to keto and need help fasting longer.
    • Eat the fat that normally comes with the protein you eat.

    2. Consuming keto snacks

Insulin is not just increased by carbs. It’s increased by eating.
    • Avoid snacks, even keto snacks.

    3. Consuming hidden carbs

Be sure to look for hidden carbs, especially maltodextrin, in your food and supplements. Fruit and berries contain fructose and glucose, which can also cause problems.
    • Check your food labels
    • Avoid fruit
    • Avoid agave nectar
    • Read the book “Don’t Eat for Winter.”

    4. Not consuming enough quality protein

Not consuming enough protein tells the brain that you need to keep eating. Also, if you’re deficient in amino acids before going into a prolonged fast, you’re not going to feel very good.
    • Consume a moderate amount of quality bioavailable protein
    • Take a blend of complete amino acids (if you don’t feel good while fasting)

Many people only take between 600 to 2000 IUs of vitamin D each day. Did you know that 10,000 IUs of vitamin D3 is only .25 mg?

Vitamin D is the most important vitamin. It controls 10% of your genetics. Over 90% of the population has less than 40 ng per mL of vitamin D3 in their blood. The guidelines of 600 IUs of vitamin D3 are based on preventing rickets, supporting bone health, and managing calcium in the blood, not for the countless other functions of vitamin D.

Low vitamin D levels are caused by people staying indoors, location, skin color, and other lifestyle and genetic factors.

    Low vitamin D symptoms include:

    •Low back pain
    •High blood pressure
    •Depression
    •Anxiety
    •Inflammation
    •Poor immune function

Sunblock blocks the absorption of vitamin D. In 1980, society became sun phobic in an attempt to prevent skin cancer, which has continued to increase despite less sun exposure.

You need 10,000 IUs of vitamin D daily, especially for immune function. This amount of vitamin D is the same amount you’d get from 20 minutes of sun exposure in the summertime.

When you get a blood test for vitamin D, they’re not checking for the active form and are not accounting for vitamin D resistance. Many things block the vitamin D receptor and contribute to vitamin D resistance, including genetics, plastics, forever chemicals, age, weight, inflammation, pregnancy, and lactation.

Vitamin D3 won’t work without magnesium. As you increase your vitamin D intake, the demand for magnesium increases. Vitamin K2 and zinc are also vital when increasing your vitamin D dosage.

Vitamin D has potent anti-cancer and anti-tumor benefits at therapeutic doses. It can also combat inflammation and autoimmune conditions. Dr. Coimbra of Brazil has seen positive effects with high doses of vitamin D in people with autoimmune conditions.

When using high doses of vitamin D, always check with your doctor. High doses of vitamin D can increase blood/urine calcium levels resulting in calcium deposits in the kidney. Also drink 2.5 liters of fluids per day, take cofactors with vitamin D (magnesium, K2 and zinc) and have your doctor monitor your PTH, vitamin D blood levels and creatinine and avoid excess calcium supplements of high calcium foods when taking vitamin D levels over 10,000 IUs.

Thanks for watching! I hope this increases your awareness about vitamin D3. I’ll see you in the next video.

0:28 Bill St. Pierre on disaster relief work in North Carolina
2:18 Rise Disaster Relief and Recovery
3:00 Take a look at where your donation went!

Bill St. Pierre has been working on building homes for two families, but he realized that the need was too great and that campers could be used to help more people faster. Bill brought 25 campers, now occupied by 25 families, down to North Carolina.

The organizations Bill is working with desperately need more campers! Unfortunately, many of the people displaced by Hurricane Helene are unable to get much help from FEMA.

Bill is working with RISE Disaster Relief and Recovery to raise tax-free donations to put more people inside of campers. If you’re able, please donate to help these families affected by Hurricane Helene.

In a clinical trial involving 120 healthy people, participants were given omeprazole. None had heartburn or acid reflux at the start of the trial, yet afterward, nearly half developed heartburn, indigestion, or acid reflux.

Acid reflux isn’t always a problem of too much stomach acid. In fact, many people with GERD and acid reflux may actually have low stomach acid.

Antacids aren’t meant to be taken long term; however, many people use them for extended periods. Side effects associated with long-term use can include nutritional deficiencies, anxiety, depression, and more.

Overeating, a hiatal hernia, and high-sugar diets can also contribute to heartburn and acid reflux.

Betaine hydrochloride can help acidify the stomach and may help reduce GERD symptoms. Zinc carnosine can also support digestive health if you’re dealing with an ulcer or stomach inflammation.
