Today, we have a special guest! Bart has an incredible success story—in only five months, he lost 90 pounds. He’s going to share with us what he did and how he overcame certain barriers on his weight loss journey.

When Bart started keto and fasting, he jumped right into only consuming one meal a day. The transition was difficult, but he persevered, knowing that it would pay off in the end—and it did.

For his meals, he focuses on grass-fed, grass-finished beef, wild-caught salmon, eggs, and large salads.

One of his biggest weight loss tips is to stay dialed in and understand why you want to move forward with your health transformation.

He also stresses the importance of educating yourself as much as you can on how to lose weight the healthy way. For more information on how to lose weight, check out my other videos!

  • The Corrupt Food Industry Lurking In Your Child's School Lunch

Over 70% of your child’s diet comes from ultra-processed foods. Refined sugars, starches, and seed oils are destroying their brains. Watch this fascinating interview with Hilary Boynton, founder of School of Lunch, who aims to halt this junk food epidemic.

Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food)

0:00 Introduction: The ultra-processed diet in children

    0:36 Welcome, Hilary Boynton
3:38 The benefits of a healthy diet for children
    6:06 Hilary’s training program
9:41 Please donate to Hilary’s GoFundMe!
11:02 Food and health, a vicious cycle

Hilary Boynton is the founder of the organization School of Lunch. She has developed a training program to teach schools around the country how to create healthy, nourishing meals for our children.

Hilary’s family health journey led her to develop School of Lunch. Hilary is a mother of 5 who’s dealt with infertility, eczema, epilepsy, speech delays, cancer, and Alzheimer’s.

Hilary’s family moved to California during her husband’s battle against cancer. There, she teamed up with a local school and began working on their lunch program. She started as the snack coordinator, then became the consultant to the lunch lady, and was finally given the keys to the kitchen.

Inspired by Dr. Weston A. Price's works, Hilary began exploring the importance of traditional, ancestral foods and our health. She familiarized herself with the gut-brain and gut-body connection.

After implementing these dietary changes, kids no longer felt the ups and downs of their energy and mood throughout the school day. Kids and their teachers, who followed the same diet, were satiated and energized throughout the day. These benefits trickled into the children’s home lives, encouraging parents to join in after seeing the visible improvements.

Hilary realized that more schools needed this information. Improving their food could greatly benefit schools, hospitals, churches, community centers, and more.

If you’re able, please donate to Hilary’s amazing cause! Doctors do not factor in food when treating chronic illnesses caused by an ultra-processed diet. Hilary’s program aims to turn this vicious cycle around not by simply changing the diet but by empowering children to understand the power of food.

  • We Ought to Eat Bugs & Insects to Save the Planet - Dr. Berg

Are insects the sustainable food source of the future? Find out if eating bugs will save the planet.

0:00 Introduction: Should we eat bugs?

0:47 Are bugs a good alternative protein source?
    2:11 Bugs vs. beef
    2:35 Insects and pathogens
4:12 Check out my video on what you SHOULD be eating for your health!

In this video, we’re going to take a look at edible bugs as an alternative protein source. Some say that we should be eating bugs by 2050 because of the growing population. Some blame climate change or claim that beef is not sustainable and that we need to find other sources of food.

One hundred grams of bugs contains about 12 grams of protein, 5 grams of fat, and 5 grams of carbs. If we were to eat insects as food, we’d need to eat 4x to 8x this amount to get enough protein! It could become quite expensive to consume this many bugs each day.

The cost of edible insects could be lowered by lowering the quality of what they’re fed, but then the bugs will be less nutritious with less protein. Eating insects would also require people to give up their cultural and traditional foods which is not likely.

When you compare bugs to beef, insects do not come close in terms of protein or nutritional value.

Insects also carry pathogens. A 2019 study evaluated several cricket farms that were developing edible insects. Around 81% of the crickets had parasites and 30% were potentially pathogenic. There's also a higher incidence of worms, viruses, bacteria, and fungus in crickets.

If you have an allergy to shellfish, you may also have an allergy to edible insects because they contain a similar protein.

Bugs have an exoskeleton mainly composed of chitin which is an antinutrient and can not be digested by our microbiome. Chitin also blocks vitamins A and E.

    #keto #ketodiet #weightloss #ketolifestyle

Thanks for watching! I hope this increases your awareness about the reality of eating insects. I’ll see you in the next video.

  • VITAMIN D IS HAZARDOUS

What happens if you take too much vitamin D? In this video, we’ll discuss the vitamin D dangers you should know about. Learn how to avoid vitamin D side effects, which are very different from vitamin D toxicity.

Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food)

    0:00 Introduction: Vitamin D dangers

    0:10 Understanding vitamin D toxicity
    1:10 Vitamin D and magnesium
    1:53 Zinc and vitamin D
    2:20 Vitamin K2 and vitamin D
    2:33 Vitamin D and vitamin A
    3:11 Vitamin D supplements
    4:12 Food sources of magnesium
    4:48 Zinc and vitamin K2

    DATA:

    https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3627603/
    https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles...

Vitamin D needs magnesium to function properly in the body. The more vitamin D you take, the more magnesium you need. Magnesium prevents vascular calcification, the main problem associated with vitamin D toxicity.

The vitamin D receptor is dependent on zinc. Like magnesium, your zinc requirements increase when you take vitamin D. Zinc deficiency symptoms include an altered sense of taste and smell, acne, flaky skin, and lowered testosterone.

When you increase your vitamin D intake, you’ll need more vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 helps prevent the buildup of calcium and also helps to drive calcium into the bones and teeth.

The active form of vitamin A, called retinol, is also an important cofactor for vitamin D. Vitamin A receptors sometimes bind with vitamin D receptors as a complex. Vitamin A also helps keep calcium out of your arteries.

Always take vitamin D3, not D2. Vitamin D2 is less potent and is typically synthetic. Avoid synthetic vitamin D3 supplements and supplements with fillers such as maltodextrin or glucose syrup.

Leafy greens, chocolate, certain nuts, and pumpkin seeds are the best food sources of magnesium. When choosing a supplement, look for magnesium glycinate. The best food sources of zinc are red meat and shellfish. If you take a zinc supplement, consume it in a blend with other trace minerals.

For every 10,000 IU of vitamin D3 that you take, you’ll need 100 mcg of vitamin K2. MK7 is the best form. Vitamin K2 is found in high-quality grass-fed butter, kimchi, sauerkraut, grass-fed beef, and eggs.

When using high doses of vitamin D, always check with your doctor. High doses of vitamin D can increase blood/urine calcium levels resulting in calcium deposits in the kidney. Also drink 2.5 liters of fluids per day, take cofactors with vitamin D (magnesium, K2 and zinc) and have your doctor monitor your PTH, vitamin D blood levels and creatinine and avoid excess calcium supplements of high calcium foods when taking vitamin D levels over 10,000 IUs.

It’s best to get your vitamin A from food. Egg yolks, liver, and cod liver oil are the best sources.

0:00 Introduction: The #1 worst food for your heart

0:43 Side effects of consuming trans fats
    1:17 Trans fats explained
    8:26 What to do
9:50 Learn how to support heart health with tocotrienols!

Today we're going to talk about the absolute worst food for the heart: trans fats. While sugar is bad for the heart, trans fats are even worse. In 2015, the FDA no longer classified trans fats as safe.

Consuming trans fats increases the risk of several serious health issues, including:

    • Heart attack
    • Stroke
    • Type 2 diabetes
    • Cancer
    • Increased LDL
    • Decreased HDL
    • Inflammation
    • Autoimmune diseases
    • Infertility
    • Tendon and bone degeneration

Partially hydrogenated oils contain trans fats, but products that contain either partially hydrogenated or hydrogenated fats should be avoided to help protect against heart disease and other health problems.

It turns out that animal feed still contains trans fats. This means that you could consume trans fats indirectly by consuming animals fed trans fats. Restaurants also commonly serve foods containing trans fats.

There's even a loophole that allows half of a gram of trans fats in one serving size to claim that a product has zero trans fats. Overall, it's crucial to read food labels and be aware of what you're eating, especially at restaurants.

    8:30 Aerobic exercise
    9:27 Understanding intensity
10:50 Learn more about how to increase recovery!

Today, we're going to talk about the principles of exercise. Understanding these principles will help keep you from getting locked into a specific routine or wasting your time with certain workouts.

Exercise comes down to two different types, anaerobic and aerobic. Understanding these two types of exercise will give you the ability to adjust your workout to your needs and maximize your results.

    Anaerobic exercise: Without oxygen

    Duration: short
    Intensity: high
    Recovery: long
    Frequency: less often
Goal: increasing muscle growth, strength, and speed

    Aerobic exercise: With oxygen

    Duration: long
    Intensity: low
    Recovery: short
    Frequency: more often
    Goal: endurance

You'll see the most benefits if you do both anaerobic and aerobic exercises. This combination will help you maintain your muscles and endurance.

If you build up to doing the high-intensity workout required for anaerobic exercise—you only need to do the workout one to two times per week. A good example of a high-intensity workout is high-intensity interval training or HIIT. On the other days of the week, you need to recover or try aerobic exercise. You can do aerobic exercise three to seven days a week.

Science typically involves normal discord and disagreement, but when it comes to vaccines, opposing medical authority, such as WHO and CDC, is labeled medical misinformation. These organizations create health policy, but are often influenced by drug companies.

We’re constantly told that vaccines are safe, effective, and vital for our health. When most drugs are studied for safety and effectiveness, they're tested against a placebo. Vaccine safety studies for children are not conducted in this manner! Vaccine safety studies often involve one active vaccine being tested against another, both containing adjuvants such as aluminum.

No actual placebo-controlled studies have been conducted for childhood vaccines. It is considered harmful to give a placebo to children, rather than a vaccine.

There have been many drugs and substances considered safe and effective that were ultimately deemed harmful. Vioxx, Paxil, trans fats, and asbestos are clear examples. Raw data from the initial release of a drug is often kept confidential.

Around 87% of all Big Pharma-sponsored studies are unpublished. This means that drug companies can choose to publish only data supporting a drug's safety and effectiveness. Health policy and guidelines are then based on this deceptive information.

Astroturfing involves creating fake front groups that pretend to represent public opinion. These groups include Citizens for Patient Safety, Partnership to Protect Patient Health, America's Action Network, and Doctors for America. These groups organize PR action against people like RFK Jr.

    1:55 The dangers of niacin
    3:35 Benefits of niacin
    4:25 Benefits of niacinamide
7:03 Learn more about what niacin can do for your cholesterol!

Today we’re going to cover the difference between the two forms of vitamin B3: niacin and niacinamide.

Both niacin and niacinamide chemically work similarly but have different benefits.

    Niacin:

    • Gives a flushing response
    • Has lipid benefits
    • Helps lower cholesterol
    • Helps lower LDL
    • Helps increase HDL
    • Helps decrease inflammation in the arteries
    • Supports a healthy liver
    • May help with schizophrenia
    • May help with drug-induced dyskinesia

    Niacinamide:

    • Won’t cause a flush
    • Helps with certain skin conditions (acne, dermatitis, rosacea, and psoriasis)
    • Helps lower histamines
    • Helps reduce immune inflammatory factors
    • Helps decrease flaking skin
    • Helps reduce sebum
    • May help reduce inflammation
    • May help with arthritis
    • Is used for anti-aging
    • Is used for hyperpigmentation
    • May help reduce anger and anxiety

Many people are discouraged from taking niacin because of potential side effects. But the dangers are rare and are typically involved in those taking very high doses over long periods and time-release niacin.
