Ted Ginn Jr, looks like he is back to prominence in the Saints offense after having an injury shortened season. John Ross long thought to be a bust, looks like Ross has turned on the burners and wants to show he has value in Zac Taylor’s offense- his 12 targets are unlikely to repeat but the upside here is palatable (hopefully its not another John Ross mirage). Terry mclaurin, the Ohio State speedster, showed why a lot of draftniks were high on him- he might be the most talented receiver on the Redskins (that’s not saying much). Marquise Brown blew up for a big game against Miami but it was just Miami… still if there is an opportunity in that offense- I think we just saw what it can turn into. DK Metcalf had a legendary combine but people were still unsure his dominance would come out in the NFL- well his stat line shows the Seahawks are willing to use him. Another Ole Miss receiver, AJ brown had a pretty impressive outing of his own on only 3 catches- his camp injury & crowded depth chart made his rise less expected- still he didn’t receive a dominant target share… yet. Chris Conley might’ve been a better pick up if Foles was playing, but hey, we’ll see what Minshew can do. Devante Parker and Preston Williams might be worth a flier in deeper leagues as they both started for the Dolphins and have shown some modicum of talent. Deebo’s few targets might not mean alot but if you are buying in early on a player.
Philip Dorsett’s future is cloudy with a chance of AB but he helped the Patriots dominate the Steelers.
Usually rookie tight ends don’t pan out but Tj Hockenson might be the exception to the rule. Darren Waller’s rumoured usage ended up being a reality- so grab him. As long as Jordan Reed is unavailable Vernon Davis has some upside.
Adrian Peterson, top dollar RB to grab. I’m not sure how long Guice will be out but it will most likely be a few weeks. This is the most available easy to add RB on the list with the most workload opportunity available. Carlos “Danger” Hyde, got the start for the Texans and if that offense is at all useable- then he is gonna be a major add for most teams desperate for an RB. Ronald Jones played the best on a crappy Tampa Bay team. Take what you will. Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman is sidelined with a pretty bad ankle. The RB2 in Shanahan’s offense gets some playing time. Mike Davis, actually was the leader of the Bears offense- now if it was a good offense that would be something to write home about. Odds are, David Montgomery will take over but while he is out there grab him.
Gio bernard, Mixon looks like he will be back soon- maybe this week- but if he isn’t Gio is a good play. Rex Burkhead, Patriots backfields are hard to figure out and gross sometimes. But if you are in deeper leagues- go for him while he is available.
Dak Prescott had an amazing game against a suspect defense- but if one thing is clear it is this- this isn’t your Grandaddy’s Cowboys. Armed with a good receiving corps, a great O-line and Ezekiel Elliot… if he’s available, buy in. Matthew Stafford showed he still has what it takes to be a fantasy relevant QB against a plus match up. He is the only thing functional about the Lions. An antique Thomas Brady might still be available in some leagues and contrary to popular belief- he is not dead yet. Streamers: Derek Carr plays the Chiefs week 2 and it is quite possible he returns some fantasy relevant numbers against their defense. Marcus Mariota might not have had to do much against the Browns but he used what he had- now he plays an okay Colts defense.
