We are back with another Drivers Edition. These are episodes where it is just the two of us with no guests. In today’s episode, we start by asking for your help. We are in the running for the People’s Choice Podcast Awards in the leisure category. This award is voted by you, the listener, so we would really appreciate it if you could go to this link and vote for us. These are the 17th annual podcast awards, but our first time in the running. We want to thank you in advance for your support!
We also chatted about our trip to Reno, Nevada, last month to record our 100th episode at the Battle Born Batteries media studio. We congratulate Ryan Hutchinson on winning the Battle Born Battery Giveaway. Speaking of giveaways, if you go to our website right now, you can enter to win a one-year membership to Passport America. Sean and Kenny upgraded their annual passes to a lifetime membership and received a couple of free memberships. You can go to our website now to enter the giveaway, which ends July 31. Short disclaimer here, Passport America is not affiliated with this giveaway. This is something we are doing on our own. Good luck all!
Also, in this episode, Kenny shares his experience of the Overland West Expo in Flagstaff, AZ. He compares the similarities and differences between the Overland Expo and an RV show. Spoiler alert, they are very different but equally fun in their way. He also shares what it was like to work in the Battle Born Battery booth chatting with customers and potential customers.
Now time for some news. Sean recently wrote a blog for the website, which you can read here. In the article, Sean writes about how the rising prices of RVs are pricing out the lower and middle classes. The average household income is only growing at one-fourth of the rate of the RV industry increases.
We also talk about the rising fuel prices and offer tips on how to save a few dollars while RVing this summer. Keeping with the topic of fuel prices, we are both excited about the possibility of RVs going all-electric. Winnebago’s all-electric concept class B RV has just completed a 1300-mile trip, making it the longest trip in an all-electric RV. The trip included driving through Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Minnesota. We are excited about the future of electrified RVs.
We hope you enjoyed this episode, and we will be back with some more great guests such as Henderson’s Lineup, Wholesale Warranties, Tembo Tusk, Lava Linens, Truck House, and more!
If you’re looking for the best RV or Marine battery on the market, look no further than Battle Born Batteries. All design and assembly occur in the USA. Battle Born also backs their batteries with a 10-year warranty. With Battle Born, you can rest assured that your battery will perform at its best for years. So check them out today and see the difference Battle Born can make.
Wholesale Warranties has a fantastic selection of policies and plans to suit any need, from RV owners who want the security that comes with knowing they are fully protected to those looking for more affordable options. If you think your RV is too old for a policy, you will be surprised that RVs up to 20 model years old can still be approved. This is a more age-lenient policy than most RV parks I have stayed in. Go to this site today to get your free quote.
