With the stigma put on PTS/PTSD, depression, bipolar, etc, I am even an admin of a wonderful Facebook group called, Changing the Name of Mental Illness. We need to discuss this – if you have a chemical imbalance messing up your sugar levels – you have diabetes – you don’t get your rights taken away from you. If you have a chemical imbalance in your brain – you’re crazy and you lose your rights.

You’re on the downhill half of January, and the resolutions are starting to fade. What do you do to keep them going? We start looking for self-hypnosis programs. You can play them at night so you can get fortification when you’re sleeping.

Not only can hypnosis build healthy new habits, but it can help explore the causes and help relieve the symptoms of syndromes that are causing us harm. In some it’s not even necessary to know because it’s just necessary to relieve the symptoms.

There’s quite a debate about whether it is PTSD or just PTS, but either way, it is important to find a nonstressful way to lead to symptoms that come about from having experienced a major stressful event.

OK, some of you aren’t old enough to have lived through the era of sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll. I am, but I was busy studying, so I missed out on all three. Rats!

However, there were some exciting things going on. Especially the discovery of some pretty interesting psychotropic drugs — not just because they could take you on trips that allowed you to “taste” color, but because they had enormous healing potential.

Dr. Miller’s book explores the tumultuous history of psychedelic drug research and the efforts to restore psychedelic therapies. We will discuss the research done on MDMA, Psilocybin, LSD, and Ayahuasca.

And in case you’re wondering, no, we’re not talking about just chewing shrooms man, these are serious medical, double blind, placebo-controlled studies. With the war on opiates right now, I think it would be a grand idea to have some alternate ammunition, don’t you?
