Yahweh fills Aaron and his sons in on their new responsibilities and the perks that come with being the owner of a budding rod. Is getting a slice of heave offerings and tithes worth being a buffer between Yahweh and the congregation? The logic behind who is unclean and how to be considered clean again is confusing, let us know if you followed it! Miriam dies after the people arrive at Kadesh, and then people assemble against Moses and Aaron to confront them about the lack of water and fruit. Moses beats a rock instead of speaking to it and water is abundant, but now he'll never see the Promised Land. The King of Edom says Israel may not pass through Kadesh, so the crowd turns toward Mount Hor, where Yahweh kills just one person for once.
