If you love The Beatles and stories that don't make sense, then you're going to enjoy the journey that we go on with Bel and Fi from Flick Talk Podcast.
Sometimes the best parts of the movie are the meet cutes or grand gestures. Some of ours include the main character getting hit by the bus or when the movie was actually over. Also, some of the inanimate objects are pretty great too. There are a lot of feelings happening right now.
But anywho, Flick Talk and DORC try to figure out how an entire stadium of people could be so forgiving to a guy who openly admitted to stealing music from someone. And everyone's like, "we still love you!" Like, MMK. SURE. In this world, you definitely would've been cancelled and an angry mob would've jumped you by now.
As disappointing as some of the parts were, we all had an amazing time discussing coma theories, Ed Sheeran, and the lengths people will go in order to hunt someone down.

Did you know that romantic comedies and BDSM could exist in the same universe?? We didn't until the fabulous hosts Jessie and Helen of Asian Bitches Down Under introduced us to the 2022 Netflix film, Love and Leashes. The lighthearted story of a submissive man and his dominant mistress comes to life in this quirky, Korean rom-com.
We all agreed that there are hot men out there, like Ji Hoo, who have this magical power to look even more irresistible when they throw on some basic reading glasses. We don't make the rules here people. It's facts. HOWEVER, if he's also the kind of guy to sound like an injured puppy when he cries, we're docking some points.
The fact that this movie is so adorable and educational at the same time is truly incredible. Coni and Marie are used to more sexy scenes in rom-coms, but they made an exception for Love and Leashes since it embraced the taboo BDSM world and made it approachable to us newbies.

We're continuing our journey around the world and today we're bringing you an amazing breakup movie from Peru called How To Get Over A Breakup. Technically, the correct title is Soltera Codiciada and that means Coveted Single. We don't understand why this is the way it is. Nosotras no sabemos!
This is definitely on our top movies to watch when you're getting over a breakup. We talk 5 Stages of Grief, the concept of clawfoot tubs, and the super power ex-boyfriends have of hitting you up right when you're starting to feel happy.
And not that we've done any scientific research or anything, but we're definitely convinced the world gets hornier and more vulnerable at night - and that's how mistakes are made. But if a hot man wants to carry you up some stairs cause he can't wait to rip off your clothes, you just go ahead and hop right into those arms.

Y'all don't even KNOW how excited we are for this next round of movies! We're going around the world to review some popular rom-coms from different countries. And today we're going to Spain and kicking things off with In Family I Trust (US Title). But the actual name of this movie is Gente Que Viene Y Bah (which actually translates to People Who Come And Go)
So in case that wasn't confusing enough for you, imagine watching it in Spanish and then having to translate your notes in English - cause that's what Coni had to do. But she's a talented gem so, easy peezy. lol
Anywho, come join us as we walk you through the ups and downs of this movie and discuss all the family dramas and men dramas and angry mob dramas. We touch on the importance of NOT introducing your partner to their Hall Pass person and why having sex midway through the movie is always the way to go.

It's officially our 50th episode y'all!!! Where did the time go???
Today's episode is exciting because we get to dive into Coni's love for Pride and Prejudice with a movie that gives it a modern, gay twist - Fire Island (currently available on Hulu).
When this episode was originally recorded, Joel Kim Booster's Netflix comedy special wasn't out yet, so we were pleasantly surprised to find out Joel's special, Psychosexual, is now available. Did we speak this into existence? The answer is yes.
We also learned that we love a good 'ol fashioned underwear party (drogas optional...#iykyk). So grab your favorite speedos and favorite beverage of choice, cause this movie takes you on a journey of love, hate, and sexy abs. Like with all the sexual tension brewing around, we were like "just SMUSH FACES ALREADY!"

Why fix something that isn't broken? Or should we say, why make a new movie plot when you have almost the same one? This time, Marie & Coni talk about First Daughter. Another president's daughter movie about the struggles with independence and a good looking stranger (secretly body guard) to fall in love with.
While we do enjoy Michael Keaton as president, it's hard to love this movie with its vanilla flavor sexiness and lack of chemistry throughout. Please enjoy Coni's rants on the lack of "Take Me On the Piano" moments and Marie doing her best to grasp at positive straws.
If you've seen both First Daughter and Chasing Liberty, do you actually have a favorite???

We're getting a little patriotic and jumping into a movie about the hard life of being a president's daughter. WOE IS ME.
Our leading lady Samantha is your classic spoiled teenager living a tough life of constant security guards cramping her lifestyle. We have zero sympathy to be honest. But here we are supporting this character who's name isn't even "Liberty".
Join us as we talk about Coni's secret service code name and all the romantic dates Marie has done for her. Marie also talks about a good 'ol fashion plot twist and her discovery of food play to spice things up.

In our final JLo love series, we're talking about none other than 2022's Marry Me. There were so many songs in this movie, we don't know how this wasn't just considered a musical. We all know this was a just an exclusive JLo concert, and we're not mad about it.
Join us while we talk about Coni's Maluma, sexy nuns, and of course, Daddy Owen Wilson. Just know, Coni will be using any opportunity to bring up Maluma baby. Marie admits she had no idea who John Keats was - OOPS. Tbh, she had to Google that to get Coni's joke. Fail.
See if you agree with Coni about the lack of chemistry between Kat and Charlie or if you ship them more than Maluma. But I think we can all agree that Maluma can serenade us ANY DAY.
PS.
MALUMA BABY. Ok we're done.

The best way to describe The Back-Up Plan is that it's not bad, but it's also not really good. Join Marie & Coni as they bear down the highs and lows of Zoe and Stan's relationship.
And let's all be honest, JLo looks amazingly hot in this movie and we don't blame Bland Stan for trying to get busy with her. BUT Marie will never forgive him for throwing away her pregnancy body pillow. Sassy Marie is ready to come out and flip some mother 'effin tables.
Coni also gets to relive the trauma of Zoe watching her friend go through a home birth. Yes, sometimes ya poop. But that doesn't mean Coni wants to witness it from THAT end. NO THANK YOU.
