In this episode I'm joined once again by Will from Exploding Helicopter, as we look at two films with Nepo Babies, this time focusing on Golden Age of Hollywood fathers. First we discuss the Fred Williamson movie "South Beach," which features Peter Fonda, nepo baby of Henry Fonda. We try to make sense of what Williamson was going for with this one. And then for the second film, we look at the AIP flick "Future Zone," starring David Carradine, nepo baby of John Carradine. Maybe not the prodigious cast of the first film, but it might be more fun.

Todd Liebenow from Forgotten Filmcast is back, this time to revisit the world of "Deadly Prey" with the 2013 sequel "Deadliest Prey." We talk about whether this one is as much fun as the original, the differences in low-budget films between now and the late 80s, and finally, is it crazier that 2013 was 26 years after 1987, or that 2013 was 12 years ago now!

In this episode I'm joined by Freddie Young from Full Moon Reviews as we introduce him to the world of Billy Blanks action movies with "TC 2000". We start in the first 90 minutes or so looking at the upcoming year in movies, what ones we think will do well, what ones may struggle, and why. Then with "TC 2000," we talk about Billy Blanks as an action lead, and how he does both from an acting perspective and an action perspective. We also get stuck in on the film and discuss the fun time we had watching it.

Actors Nicolette McKeown and Stephen Kerr are on to discuss their newest film, "Death Among the Pines," which is available now to stream on Tubi here in the States. The first thirty minutes or so is a spoiler-free conversation about the film, and the industry in general, so even if you haven't watched the movie yet, you can listen safely. Then after a break, I ask some questions that do contain spoilers, and Nico and Stephen give us some great gems on the process of making movies.

In this episode I'm joined by first time guest Jay Cluitt from Deep Blue Sea: The Podcast and Life vs Film. We discuss the 2015 film "Into the Grizzly Maze," which stars James Marsden, Piper Perabo, Billy Bob Thornton, and Deep Blue Sea's Thomas Jane. We talk about the excessive bear abuse and murder in the film, how Marsden isn't exactly the mysterious bad boy type, and Thomas Jane's career arc from his breakout in Deep Blue Sea to this film almost 20 years later. We also have a tangent on the differences in behavior between American and English theater goers.

We're joined this week by screenwriter Richard Pierce, as we look at the PM/Jeff Wincott classic "Last Man Standing." Before that we start by discussing PM and Jeff Wincott in general, what we like about them, and why we enjoy their movies. Then we get stuck in on the film, going over all of our key highlights. We also have a tangent on Blockbuster and how that altered the DTV industry in the early 2000s, and Rich talks about his experience working in a video store at that time.

Rich's latest film "The Prep School Disappearance" is currently available to rent on Prime, and his film "Lost in the Everglades" starring Tori Spelling is available on Hulu.

In this episode Sean Malloy of "I Must Break This Podcast" is back, and we're discussing another Van Damme DTV flick, 2019's "We Die Young." It's a curious entry in JCVD's career, where he doesn't speak at all. We get into how he may have been attached to this, and what his involvement meant to the over all film. Sean also lets us in on the price of Van Damme's Cameo--and it ain't cheap!
