Meatwad finds his confidence (and magical matter-bending powers) when he is given a new brain. Except it's not a new brain. It's not even a brain. It turns out, Meatwad had these powers all along... he just needed to believe in himself. But he believed in himself too much... and he became an asshole. Turns out, Meatwad is better with low self confidence.
