We’re in a bit of a content drought currently, so the only logical solution I could think of was to get drunk and turn the mic’s on. 🤷🏻♂️ Turns out when I’m not working through a breakup my life isn’t that interesting. That won’t stop me from releasing episodes though.
Update on May and how it’s important to listen to your gut feeling’s about someone, trying to tease out some ideas for therapy homework since The Therapist left it up to me this week, and more yarns about The Old Friend. Full of laughs and yawns and fan favorite, me saying um, this episode didn’t turn out half as bad as I thought it would. Curl up with your favorite drink of choice and give it a hoon.

Happy 18th birthday to the podcast! It’s now able to vote in the next federal election, buy cigarettes, and booze. They grow up so fast.
Bit of a more serious episode, we tried something different for this one and actually tried to plot out the episode. As with all things involving the podcast, it went slightly successfully, but we’re still on the hunt for our ideal workflow.
We discuss how more confidence means less tolerance towards being treated poorly, how the tiny progress we’ve been making in therapy has very suddenly added up to something cool, and a very special message from the ‘tism. Bit off brand for us tonally but I’m sure we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled tomfoolery soon enough. Enjoy you mob!
This is hands down the worst episode of the podcast to date. If we were a TV show this would be a clip episode. Sadly for you mob I soldiered on and managed to turn out 40 odd minutes.
Few updates about May, immediately breaking our promise to never discuss you know who again, thoughts on Christian dating and how my standards are hamstringing me in that regards, and a dive into past therapy homework because we're so hard up for content.
Next episode is the podcast turning legal and I'll do my best to make it actually interesting. Till then ya'll are stuck with this hot mess express. Shout out to The Old Friend in this one.
It's Therapy Day! The followup to episode 13, The Therapist has me defend my position on April...is what I thought this episode was going to be about. A surprising turn of events mid therapy took this episode in a very different direction.
I was extra saucy by the time I sat down to record this episode so out of the gate the silliness is amplified. We do a deeper, off the cuff dive of topics explored in episode 13, and how important it is to think intentionally when dealing with stuff like this. The Therapist is happy with my progress, and even tells me she's proud of me. Is this what winning therapy feels like?
Unfortunately for ya'll, I picked a cold up at some point so I'm sounding a bit rough, although I managed to keep the snorts to a minimum. This is the final April episode, definitively. Join me as we bring the saga to a close, and rejoice if you're tired of hearing about her.
Also, if you're keeping track at home, May makes a reappearance, with a very special message for the listeners. Much like the episode, this description is a rambling pile of garbage. But definitely tune in and give it a listen. I'm out of ideas now. End of description
Episode 14! 4 more and the podcast will be old enough to buy beer. What a time to be alive!
As implied by the title, we talk a bit about Ruth and how the theological sparring we've been doing has got me thinking about the faith and examining why I'm so hesitant to go back to it.
My mother strikes again with insane amounts of insanity! Would my mother take a family emergency and use it to emotionally manipulate her children? Tune in to find out (yes, the answer of course is yes)
Fun little segment about how I'm a strong, independent woman and my expectations for dating. Who am I and where did this self confidence come from?
Little bit of admin about The Lawyer, Old Friend gets 3 honourable mentions, and a recap of Thanksgiving. As well as all the fan favourites, including a very special appearance by congestion! Mommy is very hungover today after recording this episode so I hope ya'll enjoy!
Another therapy eve episode! This one is a rough listen if I'm being honest, and again much more personal than previous episodes. We discuss the damage we do to each other, how much breakups suck, and lessons learned from them. A few quick updates on The Lawyer, The Old Friend, and Ruth. My temper makes a special guest appearance and I cuss like crazy. If you listen closely you might even get lucky and hear the other special guest, The Ice Machine.
Probably the second to last episode to feature April, so if you're tired of her you can happily wave goodbye. Enjoy listening to me expose myself and give you guys a unique insight into the aftermath. Enjoy!
Another episode recorded in 2 parts! We started so strong, fresh off the back of an interesting Friday evening! Sprinkled throughout of course, is everyone's favorite garnish, April. Honorable mention, The Rizzlord has a theory!
But how quickly the turntables turn, as we hoon into Saturday night and everything has gone shockingly wrong. Dating sucks! Being single is a vibe! More April! No Rizzlord :(
Pretty well lost the plot in the second half, so we didn't get far from Friday's recording. This may very well finally be the end of the daily uploads, time will tell. Also in the first half, a very special appearance by my congestion. Enjoy!
Episode 11! It's a hot mess express! I swore I'd stop the daily episodes but I got to thinking tonight and shock horror, hurt my own feelings. Come along for the ride as I examine my motivations for wanting the outcome I do, more thoughts about April, how no one made me feel more alone than that special someone, and a story so poorly told it made me want to delete the whole episode!
To be honest, this one is much more personal than previous episodes, and I'm hesitant to post it. Thankfully it is lacking special guest The Dryer though, so it's an easy listen in that regard. If you hear this and you know me, no you don't.
The podcast turns 10! Featuring two very special guests, my dryer and ice machine, both of which I forgot to turn off when I started recording and both of which you can hear throughout the whole episode. The dryer is a paid actor.
If you're tired of hearing about April, your lucky day might be coming. We debate the thought process behind what I've been thinking about her, and if I should just give up. A good long yarn about His Glizzyness Cuckster Rizzlord III and all the drama he inadvertently causes by simply existing. Realizing that holidays look different now that I'm single. A very special message from dead air. And of course, mouth breathing and snorts and sniffles I won't notice until I listen back to the posted episode. Happy 10th birthday to the podcast, I swear we're almost done talking about April. Be good you gaggle of geese!
