  • #29 - Five Questions

Karl helpfully submitted some questions for the show so we started with that. Ended up going a bit deeper than I meant too on a few of them and exposing myself a bit, at least about my Mommy issues. Ended the show by taking a deep introspective look into how I’ve been living my life and the various ways it’s probably the wrong way to do it. Definitely not the most positive episode I’ve ever recorded but also not the most downer. Dig in and enjoy you mob!

  • #28 - So Anyway, Karl Had Said

Sat down and decided it was time to give episode 16 a run for its money, in terms of drunk mess express. I’d say we succeeded beyond my wildest hopes.

We mostly discuss all the things Karl and I have been talking about, to the best of my drunken ability. Relationships, God, and everything in between. Unfortunately for me, but luckily for you all, I was a bit too sauced to fully tease everything out that I wanted to, but some of the topics in this episode definitely deserve a revisit. Take a shot every time I say ‘Um…’ and you’ll more than likely be as drunk as me by the end of the episode. Happy listening you mob!

  • #27 - This Is Beyond Personal

Well, this is a bit of departure from the usual happy go lucky attitude of the podcast. Not that the episode isn’t filled with laughs and a general level of tomfoolery, but this is a very up close and personal look at some of the things I’ve been struggling with.

Bit of a light dive into some recent developments regarding January, nothing that juicy. And then we move onto the main course, Autumn and some of the things I’m struggling with in regards to that. All in all it’s a bit of a surprise deep dive into some stuff I’ve been wrestling with for a while.

Shock horror, Karl’s sage advice also makes an appearance. Will I listen to her or continue to willfully ignore her? Only way to find out is to tune in! Happy listening you mob!

  • #16 - This Will End With A Violent Hangover
Decided that since starting episode 15 extra drunk was such a success, we'd see if we could recreate the silliness for this episode. Went about as well as you'd expect, and as I type this I am violently hungover.
We catch you mob up on the happenings with May, a few special messages about and from The Rizzlord, as well as a defense of adopting a 19 year old and then spending every waking moment harassing them, and a bunch of shop talk about leadership on the job site and end of job sadness.
There's also a very special message from May and if you listen carefully, from The Rizzlord as well. Hopefully this episode is worth the hangover I have from doing it, enjoy you gaggle!

  • #26 - Live From My Living Room

Well, despite my best intentions there ended up being no podcasts from the road. So cuddle up as I catch you mob up on absolutely everything (read: nothing) that happened while I was away, as well as wax lyrical about Karl and the ongoing debates we’ve been having. I’ll endeavour to post a bit more frequently from the road this week. Until the next episode, stay good you mob!

  • #25 - Recentering, Refocusing

As mentioned previously, not a lot of life drama currently which makes the podcast that much more difficult to do. Decided to take a crack at planning and writing an episode out, didn’t turn out half bad. With a large break in therapy for the next few weeks, we’ve got a more than normal amount of homework to tackle so we review what’s coming down the pipe. Little update about Autumn, as well as how my brain is an active dickhead who tries to ruin everything. Various invitations to listeners to come on the podcast, one of which may surprise you mob. Otherwise, fairly tame episode all things considered. Grab a mug of your favorite grog, and give it a listen. Be good you mob!

  • #24 - Surprise Motherclucker! Conviction For All

Well, this was supposed to be a fairly straightforward therapy eve episode, and then Karl happened. Enjoy the sweet sounds of me being absolutely bamboozled and just generally hoodwinked for the first bit of the episode.

We eventually do get ourself together and move on to the therapy homework. This week’s prompt/question was ‘Who are you?’. Just a low key theoretical exploration of what makes me, me. Exactly what you’d expect from the podcast. I don’t know that there was a satisfying answer anywhere in what I wrote but y’all can be the judge of that.

Few updates about Autumn, more talk of healthy relationships and how this truly is different, and an unfortunate instance of proving Karl right as I was 4 drink Mommy when I sat down to record the episode. This might honestly be on par with episode 17 for worst we’ve ever done, so hopefully you enjoy! Dig in you mob

  • #23 - Backsliding, But Make It Fun!
As always, welcome back to the mess. In this episode we take a different tack with things, as I’m trying out new stuff and ya’ll are along for the ride.
This episode is similar to a therapy eve episode, in that I sat down and wrote out what I wanted to discuss on the episode. This’ll be a bit touch and go for a bit as I’m figuring it all out as I go.
We discuss how I’ve backslid the last few days with my outlook, how I identified and mostly overcame it, as well as saying the word ‘intentionally’ too many times. A shocking amount of mushiness about Autumn, so again, if you can’t handle me being hoodwinked, bamboozled, and generally feeling a sense of shock over meeting someone who is working in unison with me to create a healthy relationship, this is not the episode for you *hand wave* Otherwise, strap in and enjoy the ride. Probably going to a rocky road for the next few while I nail down a workflow, but when have we ever come prepared? Enjoy you mob!

  • #22 - Congratulations! Tragic Backstory Unlocked

Congrats you mob, a new section of tragic backstory has been unlocked. In this episode we dig into January more than we have previously. In trying to describe a situation with Autumn I ended up needing to explain to you degenerates how I got to the point I’m at. So enjoy a rare look into January and I’s relationship and the trials and tribulations it came with. Explanations of why I’m a bad adult, how I ended up in a job I don’t love for 10 years, and the resulting hard line in the sand I have for all future partners. As well, there’s a fair amount of fawning over Autumn in this episode so if you can’t handle the mush, don’t listen 🤷🏻‍♂️ Grab your favorite glass of piss, curl up and listen to my relationship drama to feel better about yours. Be good you mob!

  • #21 - There’s Fear In Letting Go

Happy 21st Birthday to the podcast! Officially an adult worldwide. Crazy that we’ve come this far, I wasn’t sure when I started I’d get to this point. Thanks for coming along for the ride you mob!

An out of place therapy eve episode for this one. Reflections on lessons learned from relationships past, all the fun reasons I struggle letting go of people and things, as well as a path forward, and we introduce a brand new person! Look forward to listening to me gush about her, and how she’s opening my eyes to what a healthy relationship is supposed to look like. Can’t say it’s an action packed episode, but it’s lengthier than usual and I end up half in the bag by the end so what more can you ask for?
