First up, Max is joined by Steve Martocci, the composer of the instrumentals "Monster" and "Vibes," to discuss how these songs became a part of the band's repertoire. Steve and Barber have a long history of collaborating on tech projects, including Splice, the music industry's leading royalty-free sample library, but these songs mark their first attempt at creating music together. Staying on the topic of samples, Aron Magner returns to the pod to explain how he incorporates samples from a variety of sources into the Biscuits' jams. Since December 2023, samples have been prominent features of some of the band's most exciting jams. In this segment Magner breaks down how he sources and drops new samples and the technology he uses to create them.
