Welcome to episode 11 of The Privileged Man podcast with Dr Joy Schaverien. Until her death in Mid 2025, Joy was a Jungian psychoanalyst, psychotherapist and supervisor. 

In 2015 Joy authored the book “Boarding School Syndrome” where she described common symptoms suffered by those affected by early boarding after extensive research with ex-boarders, in psychotherapy and in semi-structured interviews. 

Spending time with Joy was an enlightening experience and I am extremely grateful I spoke to her before she passed away.
