-What does Sip have in mind today as we enter the bye weekend for Husker football? Let’s find out…
-Visit Ron and the team at Tredz just south of Cortland on Highway 77 and now on West O Street, as well
-Nebraska and Washington both are off this weekend before the Huskies head to Lincoln for a Halloween night game at Memorial
Stadium. Nebraska has only practiced Wednesday and had a light workout yesterday...
-Jedd Fisch said Washington’s bye week would be “Training Camp: The Sequel,” labeling it as a week of physical practices focused on
tackling and continued development…will anything from either team’s approaches be evident next Saturday?
-And, ROLL CALL (sponsored by Madsen’s Bowling & Billiards): where are Breakers listening from today?
-Patriots/Bears tonight on Thursday Night Football (7:15pm, Prime)…and 3 college football games….will the Stool watch?
-McCarthy was traded to the Giants from the Vikings earlier in the season, and now will start for New York this weekend vs. the Texans
after he had a nice showing in a near comeback vs. the Saints last weekend
-The Giants are on top of the struggling NFC East with a 3-2-1 record so there’s lots to play for this year…can McCarthy perform well?
-When the playoff expands to 24 teams, it will do a couple of things---make it easier to make the playoff; kill the bowl season; and,
make it easier for colleges to fire their coaches—depending on buyout situation
-We can complain all we want about the expansion to 24 teams, but it’s happening…is there any reason why Nebraska shouldn’t be in
it every few years or what will the expectation be? How long can you wait to actually be in it and win a game and advance?
-It’s a Cool Parenting Tips Thursday….what’s on Bill’s mind today?
-Contact RANDY at Deinert Contracting for any house remodel projects---call/text him at (402) 417-5204
-On3 did a nice piece on Jake Dickert’s success with the Demon Deacons, pointing out that they are 6-1 so far this year (after winning 9
games the previous year)…despite having one of the lowest reported payrolls for players in college football ($13 million)…and they just
beat Louisville whose payroll is reported to be around $25 million
-Dickert has built his roster predominantly through the portal, identifying undervalued or underused talent---including Gio Lopez, who
has been outstanding this year after a rough year at North Carolina. We all get fixated on money, money, money----why don’t we focus
more on actual evaluation of players without needing all the money in the world?
-What’s next on Rick’s list of songs? Let’s tune in to find out…
-Mora's DC was asked about Mora's comments from last week, and not only admitted that he is sleeping in the office, but that his entire family
-To absolutely no one’s surprise, Mike Locksley is no longer that head coach at Maryland---we all thought he’d probably be out on
Sunday or Monday following the loss to Rutgers, but he was fired on a Wednesday morning of a bye week
-The Maryland Fade had become a staple of the show, and maybe with a new coach it won’t be that way anymore---Locksley ends his
tenure with the Terps with a 39-54 record---and what really hurts is ending last season on an 8-game losing streak and bringing him
back, while Bob Chesney at nearby James Madison went across the country to have immediate success at UCLA…could have been the
guy at Maryland! The interim head coach is Aazaar Abdul-Rahim for the rest of the year…Locksley is owed $9.75 million.

They say the most successful people start their mornings by making their bed... we think that's fine, but we also think the happiest people start their mornings with Jake Sorensen, Steve Sipple,…
