Earn Your Hunt

Well… I was supposed to get Ryan and Chase on the for this one but we went coyote hunting instead 😂 as you all well know I’m terrible at “contenting”! so instead of listening to the mule deer slayers themselves you’ll just have to listen to me recap yet another awesome trip to Routier Outfitters.

This quality episode starts out talking truth and honesty in the outdoor community… Can we stop telling “fish stories?” After I get a few things off my chest and a little ice cream in my belly, I recap my most recent whitetail hunt in Oklahoma. I cap this episode off by talking “labels” and how I’m extremely sick of being labeled a “trad” guy. I’ll use a compound if I want! 😂

In this one I start out talking about my struggle with fitness this time of year and my donut addiction. Then I check in on what’s left of my dismal hunting season. And place a cherry on top by offending my customers 😂 🤦‍♂️… drinking game today is… you guessed it… “here’s the thing”

I recorded this episode and then listened to it, and I still don’t know what it’s about… 😂…

In this one I start out, sleep deprived and a little “bitchy” 😂 being on the road solo for 19 hours will do that to a guy.. then my two good buddies and guides, Kevin Baldwin of Limb Driven Outfitting and Darrel Difresne jump on with me and try to defend moose hunting as I tear it down 😂 just kidding we BS about my shit luck and tell a few stories. Hunting isn’t always “fun” but it’s always FUN… if you know you know.. enjoy…

In this one, Jake rambles about a recent Colorado deer hunt, or bow hike as it turned out, while a dishwasher and Covid test drive him to the brink of insanity.. AND Yes I am writing this in the third person as if I have some sort of producer/support on this podcast! 🙄😂 I topped this beaut of a podcast off with a little sneak peak into what’s next in the hunting season. Enjoy the ear candy!😁

In this episode…… AWWW FUCK IT… just listen to it 😂 even if you regret it.. you’ll have killed 30 minutes of your work day! 😁 👉🏻👊🏻

Little bit of everything in this one… backpacking, dehydration, HIPPIES 🙄, and a last day buck. This season continues to be a strange one.. but I wouldn’t have it any other way! Hope you enjoy.. and if not “go fuck yourselves” 😂

Wasn’t even going to post this episode, but then I remembered this podcast isn’t about quality it’s about quantity 😆 actually it’s about neither of those things.. it’s about every day ordinary hunting situations and the “lifestyle” so I thought, fuck it.. If nothing else you can get a laugh out of my stupidity, I got in a fight with a gate latch and lost 😂. If you don’t enjoy it hopefully at least you get some work done while you’re listening to it and shaking your head 😁

In this episode I go over the second half of my Alaskan adventure. My Brooks Range sheep hunt was one for the books, filled with a lot of travel and weather “issues” but what’s an Alaskan adventure without that!? I won’t lie this one gets a bit ranty and I wouldn’t recommend listening with the kids in the car 😂.. hope you enjoy, and if not.. we’ll it’s your own fault for listening! 😁
