Even though Mike enjoys The Crow for what it is, he has to agree with Shana that substance was neglected for style. Also, they can't help but wonder the following things: What was Top Dollar trying to accomplish, why was he sleeping with his sister, did Darla's transformation not stick, and why were Eric and Shelly friends with a child? To answer those questions in their remake, the plot is rewritten, new casts are assembled, characters are completely dropped, and relationships are reworked. You're either going to love this episode, or you're going to come at us with pitchforks. Hopefully the former.

On this day five years ago, James created a monster the likes of which he curses every day: the Tranquil Tirades. In this, the fifth anniversary special of the Tirades, James decides to take a few more years off of his brain's life by going back over every bad movie he has reviewed, ranking them from "pretty bad" to "revolver-to-the-temple awful." Enjoy. He sure as hell didn't. Music in this episode: "Everybody Get Dangerous" by Weezer (the Tranquil Tirades opening song), "Take the Long Way Home" by Bloodhound Gang, "Gotta Get Away" by The Offspring, "Duality" by Slipknot, and "Thnks fr th Mmrs" by Fallout Boy. This is a tale of two shows. One show uses the forward momentum that has been building for the last four episodes to keep the tensions high, address huge plot points, and generally be awesome. The other seems to have gone into reverse and is giving us what are some of the worst episodes The Heroes have seen in a long damn time, including such gems as a physicist freezing time mid-orgasm so his girlfriend won't break up with him. Which show is which? Join Will and Hannah as they cover Buffy's "Blood Ties" and "Crush," and Angel's "Happy Anniversary" and "Thin Dead Line."

This episode is a dreadful duo of deplorable DVDs as Desmond and Darryll face off against idiots trying to save the world, and Devil Dinosaur Jr. deduces that killer home appliances are not so distressing. Those films are The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu and 1988's Pulse. There's also some defective ditties: "Worship Me Like a God," by The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, "Fish Fuck" by Gwar, "Electric Funeral" by Black Sabbath, and "Terrible" by Harley Poe.
