This is the most lavish display of love—that the Creator of heaven and earth sent His only Son to save His creation. We repeatedly rejected Him while helplessly trying to fill the God-sized void. But we chose things that would never satisfy or save us. And that Son, called Jesus, willingly laid down His life and died for our sins. Through His perfect sacrifice, we now have access to the gifts of salvation, freedom, and adoption into God’s family.
