Halla Kim, Ph.D., is a professor of philosophy at Sogang University in Seoul, Korea as well as aresident scholar at the Schwalb Center for Israel and Jewish Studies at the University of Nebraska atOmaha. He founded and is the Vice President of the North American Korean Philosophical Association (NAKPA).He is the author of several books, including: Kant and the Foundations of Morality, Kant, Fichte and theLegacy of Transcendental Philosophy, Transcendental Inquiry: Its Origin, Method, and Critiques, and Jewish Religious and Philosophical Ethics. He is currently working on a book-length manuscript on an Introductionto Korean Philosophy as well as an anthology on the Key Concepts and Debates in Korean traditional philosophy (SUNY expected).In this episode, Professor Kim discusses the various conceptions of "I" and "self" as it can be interpreted by various philosophies.
