'Bellator' opened up the weekend, with '258', which featured the last fight in the 'Light Heavyweight Grand Prix' and a championship fight.

Only a four fight 'Main card' and 'Michael Page' did that 'MVP' thing, not giving Anderson an opportunity to implement his gameplan and mashing his nose so much, the doctor stopped the fight before 'Round 2'.

Anthony Johnson has been out the game for four years, but he came back Friday night looking good. Now, there was a scare, BUT, Rumble overcame it and landed a right hand that could have flattened a mountain!

Juan Archuleta was looking to utilise movement and fast hands, BUT Sergio Pettis cut off the cage with skill & great footwork, then punished 'The Spaniard' with a right hand that didn't miss all night. AndNew!!!

Saturday had a BIG boxing match, as Canelo Alvarez & Billy Joe Saunders were looking to become the 'unified' champion.

Saunders looked to move & sting, but Alverez punished the body and walked him down. Straight away you could see that Alverez's shots carried the power, even wihout him sitting down on them. And come the Eigth round that power and accumulation of shots was too much. Saunders couldn't come out for the Ninth, meaning Alverez is the WBA, WBO, WBC, and Ring Magazine Belt Champion!!!

Also, on Saturday was 'UFC on ESPN 24'. This card took a REAL hit, and we ended up with nine fights. Gotta say though, eight of those fights were a lot of fun.

He made his debut AND opened the damn card, but Carlston Harris was not blinded by the lights. Homie came and won with bow on top, well, you actually call it an anaconda.

Phil Hawes had a tremendous win, he clearly is powered by energon, but there's nothing discussing that skillset!

Jun Yong Park also, looked great. Fought a tank, but negated the power and imposed his will. Nearly ended things at the end of the second and then finished crazy strong!

Have to give mad props to 'Haitian Sensation' Neil Magny who really showed the hell up, didn't stop working all fight!

Michelle Waterson & Marina Rodriguez REALLY came through for the organisation. Short notice, came in great shape, they went five and no gassing. PLUS, they gave it all, Rodriguez got a great win, but the fact Waterson won the forth, crazy respect!!!

BUT, the night has to go to Gregor Gillespie. Came back after a two year break, opponent agregusly missed weight, he gets rocked. BUT, that SOB stayed in the game, never lost focus and then applied the grind. Out worked and hearted Ferreira to the point where he gets the stoppage in the second. How phenomenal is that!!!

So, let's break it all down, in today's (ep 185) @ChinCheckPod

- Bellator 258: Archuleta vs. Pettis

- Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez v Billy Joe Saunders

- UFC on ESPN 24: Waterson vs Rodriguez

Well, Friday is here, so that means we are turning our gaze to what's been happening in the world of #MMA 🥊 🤼‍♀️ 🥋

Valentin Moldavsky & Timothy Johnson will be vying for the 'Bellator' Interim Light Heavyweight championship at '261' on 25th June.

BIG controversy in week 3 of the PFL's current season.  Renan Ferreira taps twice to Fabricio Werdum but the Referee didn't see it, and Ferreira ends up winning the fight via TKO. Will the fight be overturn!?!

The UFC has created a new concussion protocol laying out a five-stage roadmap for fighters to return to full training from suffering a concussion.

Is Amanda Nunes time as a Champ-Champ soon to come to a close? As it seems the women's featherweight division could be done.

Dana White has said Colby Covington is next, BUT Kamaru Usman has laid out what he'd like

PLUS, we take a look at the 'UFC on ESPN 24' weigh-in's. Three fighters miss, two fights get the chop & one goes catchweight!

- Bellator 261 will crown an interim light heavyweight champ

- What is the PFL going to do?

- UFC instigate a concussion protocal

- Is the womens featherweight division toast?

- Who does Usman fight next?

- UFC on ESPN 24: Rodriguez vs. Waterson - weigh-in's

Today's (ep 184) @ChinCheckPod breaks it all down, so let's get with it!

'Death to Los Campesinos!’ by Los Campesinos! - 2008

'Bellator' is back on Friday with '258' they're continuing their 'Light Heavyweight Grand Prix' and the Bantamweight Championship will be on the line!

Anthony Johnson & Jose Augusto will be going at in the Co-main, to see who advances in the tournament.

Then, in the Main, Sergio Pettis will be attempting to capture his first major gold, but current Champ Juan Archuleta won't be looking to give up the belt he's just won.

AND, on Saturday the 'UFC' has 'UFC on ESPN 24'.

The Co and Main have taken hits, but all is now set! Michelle Waterson & Marina Rodriguez are gonna go at it for five rounds. And it's at Flyweight, so they don't have to savage themselves down to 115 lbs

And in the Main, Alex Morono is stepping in to fight Donald Cerrone. This fight should be fun, both coming off a lose, so will want to throw down and get back to that shine.

So, let's break it all down, in today's (ep 183) @ChinCheckPod 🥊

- Bellator 258: Archuleta vs. Pettis

- UFC on ESPN 24: Waterson vs Rodriguez

'Think It's a Game' (Jay Z, Young Chris, Freeway) by Beanie Sigel - 2001

With this being the last card for a few weeks 'Legacy Fighting Alliance'. REALLY finished with a BANG 'LFA 106' had a Main card that delivered in spades.

Every fight was action packed, but you gotta give it up for Mando Gutierrez and Bubba Grant the heart they showed. Coming back from terrible starts, when you thought it might be done and they turn it around in the same round, outstanding!!!

Also, the Co and Main events, Terrance McKinney getting it done super early with the head kick. Then Joshua Silveira just looked sensational, passing his toughest test to date!

'UFC on ESPN 23' on Saturday really delivered too.

There were dominant displays from Andreas Michailidis, Loma Lookboonmee, Sean Strickland, and Merab Dvalishvili.

Then we ended the night with our sole two finishes, with performances that REALLY set both on HUGE trajectories within their divisions.

In the Co-main Giga Chikadze continued where he left off and got another sensational finish with the 'Giga Kick'.

AND then, although Dominick Reyes came out fighting and showed mad heart, Jiří Procházka not only lived up to the hype, but also the haircut! He had no fear, great footwork, and an arsenal that defied angles. The way he mixed up attacks was epitomised by the back elbow that stole Reyes soul and set the division on fire!!!

So, let's break it all down, in today's (ep 182) @ChinCheckPod

- 106: Silveira vs. Viana

- UFC on ESPN 23: Reyes vs. Procházka
