The fight fun kicks off Friday night with 'Bellator 256' and this week it's time for their 'Light Heavyweight World Grand Prix' to get underway. And it's a rematch between two former Champs Ryan Bader and Lyoto Machida. They've fought before and Machida got the W, so Bader is looking for revenge and to advance in the brackets.

And the Co-main sees ladies pioneer Liz Carmouche go at it with former 'Invicta FC' Champ Vanessa Porto whose making her debut.

Then Saturday evening (it's an early show) is the 'UFC's' second event on 'ABC'.

And we see Kevin Holland make a quick turnaround against 'The Italian Dream' Marvin Vettori whose been on a tear of late. Holland wants redemption and Vettori wants that title shot!

This is a stacked card, which could see a changing of the guard!!!

We're seeing young guns and 'Dana White Contender Series' vets, Joe Solecki and Julian Marquez looking to elevate to the next level. Solecki has the challenge of true vet and tough as nails Jim Miller. While Marquez has a Sam Alvey whose smile might become a scowl, as he could be fighting for his job!

So, let's break it all down, in today's (ep 171) @ChinCheckPod

- Bellator 256: Bader vs. Machida 2

'Air Force Ones' (Kyjuan, Ali and Murphy Lee) by Nelly - 2002

On this week's #EFTV we talk on major issues, such as...a nude photoshoot in Dubai could lead to jail and fines...what a surprise!!! A man dies during a Taco eating contest and his family feel the event organisers are to blame. Samuel Kasumu has quit his role for the Government as their Senior Adviser on ethnic minorities. But why now and what did he expect from the role!?! James Charles has been caught trying to get underage arse on YouTube, so you wonder, what will the organisation known for its banning, do!?! The 'Girl Scouts' are trying to turn around their image and go full 'anti-racist'!?! All Nippon Airways and Singapore Airlines have started to turn grounded planes into restaurants, but it's not cheap! There's all this and more!!!

PLUS, the new 'Sherlock Holmes' inspired show, 'The Irregulars' has now hit Netflix. Baker Street's young scallywags are taking the reins and being utilised by Watson to solve the crimes of London. So we attempted to give it a whirl.

AND, our Audible book of the week, is a return to Leigh Bardugo's 'Grisha Verse' with book two of her 'Shadow & Bone' series, 'Siege and Storm'.

This week:

- Gender reveal party kills two!

- Nudity in Dubai, definitely not the best idea

- Taco eating contest leads to death and son suing for negligence!

- Governments race advisor quits!!!

- Putin cements his power

- What should YouTube do about James Charles!?!

- Will the Girl Scouts succeed in becoming 'anti-racist'!?!

- Would you dine on a grounded plane?

'EI' by Nelly - 2000

'iKON' kicked off their year in style Friday night. Seven fights, six finishes, and the fight that went the distance was a dominant performance.

Two fighters that wanted to get things taken care of quickly were Pete Rodriguez and Elvin Espinoza. Who were both out of the ring in under a minute!

Abigail Montes (who got the night up and running) and Claudia Zamora both gained their second career victories, with controlled, one sided showings. Montes ended things in the second, and Zamora ended things halfway through the first.

She came in the game as kickboxer, but Isis Verbeek got her first submission win

And in the Co-main Chris Curtis used brutal ground & pound to wrap things up.

The night ended with a dominant, one sided showing from Brok Weaver, who let Dana know, in two more fights, he's gonna show & prove himself into a new contract!

We THEN had 'Bellator's' first card of the year, in '255'.

Usman Nurmagomedov didn't come out unscathed, but he did have a successful debut.

And in a rematch full to the brim with bad blood, Tyrell Fortune made the outcome undeniable with ferocious intent.

In the Co-main Jason Jackson pulled off the BIG win over Neiman Gracie. Fight came down to the third round and Jackson showed he wanted it more.

AND in the Main event, Patricio Freire not only became the first man to stop Emmanuel Sanchez BUT, he has now also reached the final of the 'Featherweight World Grand Prix' fire

With the PFL new season starting in a few weeks, they have announced some changes to their format and rules.

We are mowing starting the Venum era for UFC fight gear. And the new fighter compensation structure has been announced

People wondered what was next for Leon Edwards well, turns out a 5 round Co-main at 'UFC 262' against Nate Diaz.

The BIG question is, does Jon Jones get that fight against Francis N'Gannou.

'Australia’ by The Shins - 2007

It's a UFC dark week, but luckily MMA still keeps rolling and Friday night is a full one.

Things start off with 'iKON Fighting Federation's' sixth event and like previous cards, it's a mix of debutants, potential stars and vets looking to make a statement.

Elvin Espinoza will be looking to maintain his unbeaten run and Luis Campa is looking to make this the start of his run.

After her impressive showing last time out, Isis Verbeek will want to build on that momentum, but Dana Yasiri Garcia wants to make that debut bang

And Alexander Barahona is set to spoil Brok Weaver Main event platform

AND then, 'Bellator' have their first card of the year, and first of their deal with the BBC.

They've brought a mix of veteran stars and some of their up and coming talent.

Usman Nurmagomedov makes his debut against Mike Hamel.

Tyrell Fortune & Jack May will be looking to end what they started back at 245.

Kana Watanabe hopes you haven't forgotten what she can do. And against Alejandra Lara she'll want to continue her unbeaten dominance and make a title claim.

In the Co-main Neiman Gracie is all bout getting back into the title mix. While Jason Jackson will want to live up to his nickname.

AND in the Main event, we get the semi-final of the 'Featherweight World Grand Prix' and rematch of Patricio Freire and Emmanuel Sanchez to see who faces AJ McKee in the final!!!

So, let's preview the upcoming action with today's (ep 168) @ChinCheckPod

'Bad MF' by Pharoahe Monch - 2014

Who'da thought a Mafia goon would blow seven years on the run, by trying to be a social media cooking star  Did Volkswagen play a dumb April's Fool's OR, did a woke gesture fall flat so they quickly pivoted???  If you don't think MSCHF didn't want to get sued by Nike, then you are a step behind. Cause why else would you make them nasty arse trainers  Songwriters are hoping to stop bullying by forming a collective and playing pat-a-cake  Roger Goodell and the other bigwigs at the NFL have found another way to add to their treasure chests, but will an extra game be good for the players  This week's #EFTV looks at all this and more!!!

PLUS, season two of 'Creepshow' hits Shudder on the 01.04.21, so we took a look at the first two episodes to see what all the buzz was about

AND, our Audible of the week, is the conclusion to Octavia E. Butler's 'Xenogenesis' trilogy. What becomes of the human race, can the Oankali help them to not kill themselves and will a new hybrid Ooloi make the transitions easier or worse. Everything kinda gets answered in 'Imago'.

This week:

- Cooking show is the reason Mafia henchman is caught after seven years on the run!

- Was Volkswagen's s'posed April's Fool's really a cover up for a woke flub!?!

- Is Joe Biden's German shepherd being used as a scapegoat???

- MSCHF getting sued by Nike for their ugly arse 'Satan Shoe'

- What a surprise, UK Government declares the country is free of institutional racism

- Songwriters banding together to stop bullying, in the most toothless approach

- Man caught trying to smuggle Finches into the US

- NFL lose preseason games and add one to the regular season
