'UFC on ESPN+ 43' is an interesting card, it's showcasing more of the new breed, the up and comers of the UFC And we could also be seeing some potential changing of the guard situations.

The first fight on the card is compelling, as Jared Vanderaa called for this fight against Sergey Spivak with his win on the 'Dana Whites Contender Series'.

The first of our old skool vs new is the return of Eddie Wineland looking to wash off that last bout against John Castañeda.

In the next we have the pitbull, Andrei Arlovski who's really changed his style to increase that longevity. But he's going up against the young, fast up & comer Tom Aspinall.

And the last sees Alexey Oleinik who can seemingly strangle anyone from anywhere. But he's facing the light & fast Chris Daukaus.

Our Co-main is Ketlen Vieira against Yana Kunitskaya.

AND, the Main is a fight that's been brewing for a while! Curtis Blaydes vs Derrick Lewis is a question of, can Blaydes take and hold down the Black Beast. And if he can't, will BB land one of those bricks and blunt that razor?

Then Polyana Viana showed what a problem she is on the ground!

Belal Muhammad showed why 'Bully' is his social handle, with that suffocating display of grind!

AND, how many people had Anthony Hernandez winning via submission??? Had to be one of the biggest upsets and impressive things seen inside the Octagon!!!

Talking about displays of heart, after weathering a great effort from Maki Pitolo, and finding his footing after nearly three years on the sidelines. Julian Marquez mounted a third round renaissance, pulling off an anaconda choke for the comeback win. THEN, calls his shot with Miley Cyrus

Kelvin Gastelum utilised focus, experience and diversity to recharge his mission for gold!

And in the Co-main, Alexa Grasso showed she's not getting bullied in the clinch, her hands are fast & sharp and her BJJ game is straight legit! But in defeat Maycee Barber's effort in the third round was the heart you want from a young, hungry fighter!

THEN, that Main event, WHAT!!! Gilbert Burns didn't come to play, he gave his all f'sure. BUT, Kamaru Usman is a nightmare, it's not just in the name. Coming off the back foot, to implement an imposing jab, a brutal top game and then close the show how he did. PLUS, break Georges St-Pierre's welterweight record with thirteen straight wins! There first event will be '255' which will launch their new Light Heavyweight tournament, featuring Lyoto Machida vs Ryan Bader, Corey Anderson vs Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov, Anthony Johnson vs Yoel Romero, and Vadim Nemkov vs Phil Davis. '258' will be Juan Archuleta's first title defence against Sergio Pettis. AND the UK can finally watch all the events, as they've made a deal to exclusively stream on 'BBC iPlayer'. 

The women's lightweight, and men's heavyweight divisions have been announced by the PFL, and it all starts 23.04.21. 

He didn't get the fight, BUT 'UFC 259' will see Glover Teixeira serve as backup for main event! 

Nate Diaz is venting at lightweights, even though he's now a welterweight...s'posedly!

PLUS, we give the 'UFC 258: Burns vs Usman' weigh-in's a quick look, and the main WILL be fighting for the strap, but there was one issue!

We're already at our second PPV of the year, and it's a doozy! 

So many great fights to talk about at 'UFC 258', but the Main card is jammed with clashes that could have headed up their own 'Fight Night'!

You should know how tough Dhiego Lima is, he's gone through two 'Ultimate Fighters', season 19, he got to the final, but it didn't go his way. Had three fights, 1-2. No problem, he went to the regionals, he got back for season 25. Again to the final, again, wasn't his night, BUT things are different. Lost the first fight, but now he's on a three streak. Lima has good BJJ and can put your lights out. Is it enough when facing Belal Muhammad, 17-3 and those three were no joke. Muhammad is on a three streak too, Millender, Sato & Good and his energy is different now. So after Saturday, he's beating you'll 'Remember The Name'!

In 2018 Ian Heinisch elbowed his way through the 'Dana White's Contender Series' and came into the UFC strong, with two wins. Hit a bit of a skid, but course corrected in a BIG way at 'UFC 250' and now believes it's his time to shine! Kelvin Gastelum has had a bit of a rough time of late and you know he wants to get the taste of the last fight out his mouth. BUT, he's still the kid who everyone doubted on season 17 of the Ultimate Fighter and shocked everyone, before going on a four fight tear. Plus, he's still 'On A mission 4 Gold'!

In the Co-main Maycee Barber is back, after experiencing her first loss at UFC 246 and ending her dream of becoming the youngest UFC Champion. The desire to be champ isn't gone though, and she's ready to start the rebuild & push on Saturday! Ever since her time in Invicta FC you could see how special Alexa Grasso is. Things haven't always gone her way, but with the win at 'UFC on ESPN+ 33: Smith vs. Rakić' you could see the fire is still burning strong and she's ready to use her experience to go all the way!

Gilbert Burns vs Kamaru Usman, former teammates, allies in the trenches go head to head! Burns has been on a tear, ready to jump in the fire against anyone. Now, Usman, undefeated in the UFC, he's fought some savages and never looked shock, won the belt in impressive fashion and defended in the same way. Burns has said, 'the difference between them is, Unman wants to dominate you, but he wants to finish you'. Saturday night we find out, EVERYTHING!?!

An ex employee has accused a Techno record label of racial discrimination, BUT, he also asked for £10K to keep quiet! NOW, over in France they're aiming on applying their VERY first age of consent laws, plus limitations on sexual violence against children!!! Something that's just as HUGE, a couple of Louisiana sanitation workers save a 10 year old girl how'd been kidnapped!!! And how bout this, three stranded Cubans rescued from a 33 day ordeal on the desolate Anguilla Cay island by the Florida Keys Coast Guard!!! 

PLUS, it was over to Netflix to pick back up on 'BONDiNG' and see if Rightor Doyle tale of two friends, one (Zoe Levin) a dominatrix and the other (Brendan Scannell) a wannabe comedian, holds up over these two seasons.

AND, our Audible of the week, is 'Dawn', book one in Octavia E. Butler's 'Xenogenesis trilogy'. Which deals with how humans might react to Aliens who help after we destroy the planet. Oh, the Aliens don't look like us and by all accounts, are creepy as hell!

'Blinding Lights' by The Weeknd - 2020

Well, the weekend definitely had some epic moments for everyone!

Friday 'BKFC' held their 'Knucklemania' PPV, with Paige VanZant vs Britain Hart as the headliner. A lot was thrown, but a lot was missed, not really a close fight, UNTIL the fifth round, where VanZant seemed to find her flow. And you do suspect, if she had fought the previous rounds with the same intent, things may have been a lot different!

Saturday though, we were back in the flow of things, as it was 'UFC on ESPN+ 42'.

and Ode Osbourne really got the night rocking as he scored the 26 second KO in the very first fight on the Prelims!

The next four fights had very solid performances from Timur Valiev, Seung Woo Choi, Lara Procópio and Karol Rosa. Devonte Smith return to the Octagon was a damaging affair, as he closed Justin Jaynes' eye and got a doctors stoppage!

To start the Main card, Danilo Marques pulled off a slick rear naked choke finish and looks like he could definitely be a threat for the Light Heavyweight division.

The match up between Carlos Diego Ferreira & Beneil Dariush was a non stop war, and clearly earned its 'Fight of the Night' status!

BUT, it was all about the last two fights on the card, as fireworks were instore!

Cory Sandhagen did not wait long before he hit jump knee that could have put anyone away! And if coming into this fight, people thought the winner could be inline for the next title shot. This win took away any doubt that was there!!!

THEN, in the main,  Alistair Overeem had said he had one last run in him, but it was also clear Alexander Volkov was prime for the next level of things. It was just a case of who claimed it and Volkov made it crystal clear that he's done playing. A second round right, left hook combination ended the Overeem's night in enphatic fashion, but now leaves the question of "when". Cause with Jon Jones circling the winner of Stipe Miocic vs Francis Ngannou it does make things interesting.

AND on Sunday, Tom Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers challenged Patrick Mahomes Kansas City Chiefs in the LV, 'Super Bowl'!
