On episode seven this week, we welcome first-time guest Lexi Shultz, who currently serves as Vice President of Public Affairs at the American Geophysical Union (AGU), a global community supporting more than half a million advocates and professionals in the Earth and space sciences. She also works on programs providing scientists with the skills, support and opportunities they need to effectively engage with policymakers.

Before joining AGU, Shultz spent eight years at the Union of Concerned Scientists, where she was part of an effort to restore scientific integrity to the policymaking process. She then worked on the climate and energy program, which is where host Chelsea Henderson first interacted and worked with her. Shultz talks about the importance of science in all aspects of our lives, including in the climate fight on this episode!

CRES is a right-of-center, non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. that engages policymakers and the public about responsible, conservative solutions to address our nation’s energy, economic and environmental security, while increasing America’s competitive edge. A key part of the EcoRight community, she has led the CRES team since 2016 and oversees the core activities of the organization, ensuring the successful expansion of conservative clean energy policies across the nation. 

In addition to her role at CRES, Reams is also the Founder and Chair of both National Clean Energy Week (NCEW) and the Conservative Climate Foundation (CCF). This week she joins host Chelsea Henderson to preview the 9th annual National Clean Energy Week conference (Sept. 15-19, 2025) with options to tune-in virtually or attend in person.
