(Chinese) Our souls are the true Prajñāpāramitā. Originally the soul is the same as Prajñāpāramitā; there's no difference. Hes has the same great wisdom. Hes himself is the great wisdom, the great Tao, the original Self, and Buddha nature. However, when hes comes to this samsara world, hes is enveloped by many things and forgets hirs original Self. A Mahasattva can help us to gradually take off the thick and heavy clothes on us layer by layer, then we can also see our original Self later. ...

Not everybody can see Master’s manifestations. It depends on their spiritual practice in previous lives, or their current degree of sincerity and effort. Many conditions have to come together in order for one to be able to see Master. We don’t have to see Master in ...

Will it bring immense merit if we make offerings, build temples and print sutras? Supreme Master Ching Hai explains that immense merits are only immense in this world; nothing is immense from the Buddha's point of view, because sooner or later everything within the Three Worlds will be destroyed, let alone your immense merits. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have all kinds of merits which are ...

(Chinese) Why do we have enlightened Masters who descend to this world life after life to save sentient beings? Even though all beings have the Buddha nature, we wouldn’t be able to become Buddhas without being given the key to enlightenment from a living Buddha. Thus, Buddhas have to come back life after life. However, sentient beings experience many obstacles during their lifetimes. They bear not only their own karma, but also that of their ancestors and the collective karma of their families, districts, and ...
